Chapter 4

Liam’s pov

I signed as I walked through the front door of my house, my mind still thinking about  the events of the day. I had never met anyone like her before, and i couldn't stop thinking about her.I could still feel the warmth of her hand.the way her eyes had seemed to pierce straight through mine.

I was so lost in thoughts that I didn’t notice that my parents were watching me. 

Liam,is everything okay?”my mom asked

Yes,mum,every…

I was cut short by Nora who said

“Mum,today,Liam met a girl 

For fuck sales Nora,shut up,no one asked you”

I retaliated. 

Mum,Dad,Liam met a human girl and he was invited to a bonfire party tonight and Liam said yes to it “Nora said and ran up the stairs.

Wait till I get you”I said in my mind

My dad was shocked and scared.

And I could see it on his face

Dad…”

Liam,this is what I have been avoiding,

You can’t be with a human and you know that”he said

Dad,it’s just a bonfire party for a night

“A lot can happen in a night Liam”my dad said

You know you are of pure blood right,you are 18th years,you should know more of your pack and about the full….

Dad,I don’t want to know about all this right now ”I said walking out on him

Liam”..my dad kept calling but I didn’t stop.

As I walked into my room.

I got a notification from a new number.

“Hi,it’s Ava and this is the location for the bonfire party

See you tonight”

I couldn’t wait to see her

Cause I’ve never been so interested in someone like I was in her.

I waited until my parents were asleep, and then i snuck out my bedroom window. I was excited and nervous at the same time, but i knew i had to see Ava. I  made my way to the party.

I had arrived at the party and I saw ava,she was laughing and dancing with her friends. I smiled as I watched her, feeling a pang of longing in my chest.i saw Ava walking towards me,her long dress billowing in the breeze. She smiled as she approached, and i felt a rush of excitement.

I follow Ava to the bonfire, and I can't help but feel nervous as we approach. I've never been to a bonfire party before, and I don't know what to expect. Ava leads me over to a group of people, and I see a girl with long, dark hair and green eyes. She's smiling and talking to the group, and when she sees Ava, she hugs her. "This is Olivia,my best friend," Ava says, introducing me to the girl. "Olivia, this is Liam." 

Olivia looks me up and down, and then she smiles. "Wow, you're even more handsome than Ava described," she says. I feel my cheeks turn red, and I'm not sure what to say. I've never had anyone compliment me like that before. "Thanks," I mumble, feeling a little embarrassed. "You're welcome," Olivia says, still smiling. "I'm glad you're here. It's always nice to meet new people."she said and walked away

Ava grabs my arm and pulls me away from the group. "Come on," she says, smiling at me. "Let's go for a walk." I follow her to a quiet spot away from the bonfire. The music is still playing, but it's softer here.

"Would you like to dance?" Ava asked, holding out her hand.

I took her hand, and we began to move in time to the music. My heart was racing.

The warmth of her body pressed against mine and i felt a rush of emotion. We were so close, our faces mere inches apart, and i could feel the heat of her breath against my cheek. Her eyes were wide and bright, and she smiled up at me,her lips slightly parted. I couldn't resist, and I leaned down to kiss her.

As our lips met, I began to feel strange. I felt more alert, more aware of everything around me.my  senses were heightened, and i felt a surge of power coursing through my body. Then, i noticed something else: my fingertips were starting to tingle.

Suddenly, i pulled away from Ava, gasping for breath. "I don't know what's happening to me," I said

Are you okay?”Ava asked.

I’ll be right back”I said.

I turned and headed for the bathroom, ducking into the small, dimly lit room and closing the door behind me.l leaned against the wall, trying to catch my breath.

Then, i felt it. My bones began to ache, and i felt a surge of pain in my hands and feet. I looked down and saw that my nails were starting to grow. I felt my teeth lengthening in my mouth, and a low growl escaped my throat.

Staying on the floor for like 5 minutes 

I felt a hand on my shoulder.

“Liam 

I turned with fright and it was Ava 

“You scared me,are you alright?” She asked 

I said “yea”breathing hard ,everything was back to normal.

I’m sorry,I..I just got to lay head for a second”I said.

“Maybe it’s the adrenaline,you were pretty amazing out there”she said smiling 

I’m sorry for acting weird out there”I apologized 

“It’s okay,I can handle weird”she said.

That made me get excited 

“To be totally honest,you make me kinda nervous”I said 

Real?she asked

I mean this is our second meeting

“Yeah,really nervous”I said.

I just umm wanna make sure I get my second chances “I said

“You already have”..she said..”Not sure if you can take it”she said smiling at me

I moved closer to her.

“Oh,maybe I just need to learn to take more chances”I said.

“Maybe you do”she said 

I held her closer and then leaned in for a kiss,savoring the taste of her lips and the feeling of her body against mine and then someone walked in.
