Trying to figure it all out

2024-10-29 19:42:56Shaye walked to the door, she knew Kacey was staring at her, cause she could see him out of the mirror on the wall. Her heart begin to race, and her mind played the scene from this morning over and over again. She had to get her head out of the clouds to concentrate on the task at hand. She opened the door and as soon as she looked back Kacey was standing right next to her holding the door also. He locked the door and began to walk ahead of her like he wasn't mentally there, he opened the front door and held it open for her while speaking to the security officer. She did a double take, because she didn't see the security guard standing there just a second ago.
Kacey was so focuse on what he had just heard over the phone that he forgot that Shaye was walking behind him instead of on side or in front of him, he stopped to let her catch up. As they approach the car he pop the lock, opened the door, and helped her in the navigator. He walked around the car, his mind a million miles away, when he noticed a blue car looking suspicious he ran to the driver side and jumped in and sped off, he picked up his phone and dialed a number and started giving orders.
"What's wrong?" "Nothing, someone just following us and I don't know who it is, but we gonna find out in less than five minutes." He made a sharp turn right on the next street they passed, then gave a signal to a car ducked off in the cut and the car cut off the blue car that was following them. Kacey hit a right at the next stop light and then pushed a button on the console which was an in-dash camera/tv, and slowed down as Shaye shop came into view, he pressed record.
The car began to stop, Shaye looked up and found that they were in front of her shop. She looked over to see what Kacey was doing, he didn't even notice her, he was to busy watching whatever was on the screen. She wanted to know what was going on but was afraid she wasn't going to like the answer. She unlocked her door, reached over and gave him a kiss on the cheek, and was in the process of getting out when she felt him grip her elbow. She looked over at him and knew he was pissed off, but she didn't know why.
