Chapter three

The island of the sirens

          (Asher's pov)

    I woke up from the clicking of swords, I opened my eyes and saw the army that wants me dead fighting with the sirens. The sirens had the upper hard but I still wanted to help, so I tried to rise to my feet but I felt a very sharp pain all over my body and that was when I remembered that I fell from a thousand feet down to the river. It turns out that I broke more bones than I thought I would, when the sirens had killed all the attackers they started walking towards me. My mind was going crazy from the sight of the girls and my jaw dropped. "Welcome back sleepy head" one of the girls said when they reached the spot were I laid helpless "how long was I out?" I asked she looked at me then said "maybe an hour or two, how are you feeling now" she replied "I feel like I broke more bones than my body had" the girls laughed, the girl in front of the group knelt down beside me to check on my ribs "you'll be fine, you just need a little more rest and you'll be as good as new". "We need to get to the village to get you some medicines to help you heal faster" I tried to get on my feet but failed "you need help?" She asked "I think I do" I replied with an helpless smile, she walk up to be and helped me up to my feet then supported me with her shoulder. "Would you like to share why those men were after you?" She said with a little bit of seriousness in her tone "I kind of pissed their leader" he said, not wanting to tell her that he was the tribrid so they want him dead for that too, I don't want another group of people chasing after me in this state. "What's your name" I asked her " I'm Everly but my friends call me Evie" she said with a slight blush "I am Asher" I said while smiling at her. 

             We got to the village after a few minutes  of walking then she handed me to one of the sirens that treats their insured warriors "are you just going to leave me alone here?" I said playfully, she look back then starred at me with eyes that said stop been a cry baby and with that she turned around and left.

           I woke up a few hours later feeling a lot better so I decided to take a stroll around the island, when I left the tent my jaw dropped with the beauty of the place, on my way here I didn't pay much attention to where we were going because my focus was all on Evie. All the sirens looked almost the same... they had perfectly tuned body with long hair, long lashes and beautiful, kissable lips. The island was at the border of the kingdom, it had a river with dangerous currents but later I learnt that it was the doing of the sirens, they made the river current really high to scare away intruders and unwanted visitors and I began to wonder where I fit.

         After walking for a while I started thinking of how perfect Evie and her people are but she's my favorite one of them. "Hey Asher wait up" she called out to me "speaking of the devil" I said under my breath "hey Evie" I said to her when she got to me "where do you think you are going moving all around alone"  she said to me while we walked together aimlessly "I w..was just familiarizing with my environment" I forced myself to say, she is so beautiful I can't think straight whenever I look at her. "So, Evie" she looked at me with curiosity in her eyes waiting for what I was going say "what are you? I mean you are wonderful warriors, you have bad ass tales and are exceptionally beautiful" she blushed then teased "so you think we are beautiful? Was that reason why you couldn't get your eyes off me?" I had an embarrassed smile on my face then I scratched my head "you knew that I was staring?" She nodded and said "we are sirens and I am guessing that you are an elf" I pounded if I should tell her, I have enough strength to run if they decide chase me like the army did. So I told her "I am the tribrid prince, I'm an elf,dragon and kreo" she looked at me with amazement "your highness" she teased i laughed and said "but I can't be a prince without a castle or kingdom to rule can I?" She laughed and that was all it took to and I started starring at her again "stop staring at me like that you eyes look like they can eat me up" she said then hit me playfully on my shoulder, I blushed and looked the other way to hide it. We walked to the river and sat on the banks looking at the river "why did you save me?" I asked "because you were being chased by those god forsaken rulers army" she replied "so you guys don't get along with the current rulers?"  I asked again, she looked at me then said "we are sworn enemies, after they raid the kingdom and took the throne they asked everyone to bend to their will but we refused because they are not worth our loyalty" she spoke with pride, "I am going to take the throne back and rule the kingdom how it is ought to be ruled" I said, she looked at me with hope in her eyes "have you gone full tribrid " she asked "not yet, I can't control my elf side, I just recently activated my dragon side but my kreo side is still dormant because I'll have to die to be able to use it and I don't plan on dying anytime soon" I said then smiled "dying isn't hard, I can help you with it" she said with a grin "you think I'll just let you kill me? I know it's not hard but it doesn't mean that it wouldn't hurt" we both laughed then rested on the sand. After a while a warning bell rang "what's happening" I asked she got up in an hurry and said "I think we are being attacked" with that she started running back to the village while I followed behind.
