2024-10-29 19:42:56I was happy with his answer, but still feeling a little annoyed. My wolf hadn’t calmed down yet. All my instincts were telling me to give her a proper lesson as to how to talk to my mate. But then again, I had to remind myself that Sarah was not a wolf. She was not used to our laws and I didn’t want to do that in front of her unless really necessary.
I decided to thrust that Georges would take care of his daughter. “Let that be my final warning.” I told him still projecting my Alpha authority on them. As future Alpha, I shouldn’t have to demonstrate my dominance unless someone would challenge my dad and then me for the lead of the pack. I took my phone out and tried to call Sarah but got no answer. Then I tried to concentrate and to her through her mind, but it didn’t work. That wasn’t normal, that wasn’t good. It took us a little longer than expected to find the entrance. There were a few guards, but we dealt with them. A good portion of the pack was there. We were a good team of wolves and humans, all together to find Sarah. There was this long corridor and at the end seemed to be a big room. I could hear sounds coming from it. That’s when she spoke to me, that’s when I heard her saying she was going to die. I couldn’t hold my wolf anymore. I turned into my wolf form and ran as fast as I could. Zach knew what it meant. I heard Sarah say, “You’re wrong. Humans are not weak. We have our place in the pack with the others. With the demon’s power absorbed, he was much bigger and stronger than me, even if he didn’t have Alpha blood. ************ Sarah’s POV ************A lot had happened since that day. After the battle we went back to Sam’s parents’ house. We were injured but we were fine. They sent some members of the pack to clean up the mess and then seal the sepulcher, hoping no one would have the idea to go there again.With the respect gained from the fight, and the courage and strength that he showed, it was decided Sam would become the Alpha. His father stepped down as the Alpha and began teaching his son, showing him what it means to be a good Alpha. I had no doubts he would do great. All boxes are unpacked. Finally, I’ll be able to settle down. Not too soon either as I start my new job tomorrow. I’m so excited! I was taken aback by this name. Eurynomos was an ancient demon creature that was said to feast on flesh and blood and to creep upon the earth killing whoever he seemed fit. He was defeated centuries ago by the moon goddess and was sealed in a sepulcher, never to return. “What?” I asked, “Why would anyone want to find his sepulcher?” My father raised his shoulders. “That, we still don’t know, but, while Zach was there, he came across Keven.” I didn’t really know what to think of that. I woke up still holding Sarah in my arms. Everything I needed was right there. If only I could make this moment last forever. I was enjoying watching her sleep and breathing in her sweet smell of peach. I could never have enough of her. Sure enough, I could smell her pheromones, even as she slept.
