Chapter six(6)

A minute close , a minute faraway .

After enough cry, Cassy fell asleep.

The continuous rings from her phone jolted her up . expecting mara’s call as she must be worried of how ill Cassy was ,Cassy scurried to get her phone from her school bag .

She was so devastated about what happened between fred and her that she haven’t had the strength to put her bag in order .

But Cassy stopped in her track when she saw an unknown number .

Trying to remember who she gave her number recently, the call ended .

While contemplating calling back or waiting if the caller will call back, her phone started ringing in her hands with the caller id “unknown “.

“Hello pls who am I onto “Cassy asked after swiping the green button.

“Hi Cassy “ a voice from the other end said

“I have no shame .now everyone voice sounds like Fred’s right how will he even get my number “Cassy thought to her self .

“ hello are you still there “ Fred’s voice which Cassy thought she was hallucinating rang over the phone .

“Y…..e…a….h but you see am sorry over what happened at the school garden today I promise it will never happen again I know it appears am too cheap but that it’s not true don’t scold me pls “Cassy said in one breath and ended the call thinking fred called to scold her for throwing her self at him .

But to her surprise,Fred called back

On swiping the receive button, Cassy

Said. “ okay fine go ahead scold me because I know you won’t stop calling till you accomplish your reason for calling in the first place “

“ you actually thinks I called for such thing?

To scold you ?well if that’s what you think I guess you are right “ Fred said pained by Cassy’s statement but yet continued “yes that’s the reason I called you are such a spoilt brat how could you do such a thing ?throwing your self at a man who doesn’t love you . Don’t you have shame? . Fred obviously was ready to play with Cassy’s mind but suddenly stop when he heard a sob , Cassy was crying.

“ hey am sorry I didn’t mean what I just said it’s just that you thought of me so low . How could you think that I called just to scold you ? Cassy I like you too. can we see like right now ? Pls don’t say no “ Fred said .

That was actually what he called Cassy for he was tired of hurting the poor girl and even hurting himself he was ready to give her a chance damning the consequences.

“ yeah “ Cassy finally said after minutes of silence

“Oh thank you I will be there in less than an hour so get ready we are going somewhere “Fred said excitedly

“Where exactly ?do you know where I am right now or where I live? “ Cassy asked when Fred didn’t ask for her house address

“Well it seems I was underestimate by someone “ Fred said sounding sad but deep now he was finding every word Cassy said laughable if only she knows Fredrick Paul .

Cassy was more happier today than the day she won a scholarship to study at the royals .

The royals is a school for the rich it wasn’t a school for the poor nor a salary earner .yes it was every child’s dream to attend but it’s not an easy thing to pay half a million dollar every month

After several sleepless nights of reading Cassy emerge the winner among several other students .

But that was the worst mistake ever because she ended up being bullied every single day in that school .

Well now this is not time of reminiscing about sad things .

Cassy changed into her bathing robe .

Cassy was applying her makeup when she heard her phone ringing .

She took her phone from the bed expecting the caller to be Fred and just like she thought, it was Fred .

Swiping the receive button, she said .” Did you miss your way “

“No am actually outside your apartment “

“Oh I will be out in a minute”

Grabbing her purse , Cassy ran to the mirror to take a look at her appearance .she was putting on a blue jumpsuit and a silver heels .she left her hair falling to her back .her neck ,ear and wrist wasn’t left out there was a pair of silver earrings,necklace and bracelet all where they belong matching it up with a blue purse .

Satisfied with her appearance she ran downstairs.

Cassy might be ugly but she possess an aura of beauty .

She got to the sitting room but met her mother’s absence .walking to her mum’s room she overheard whisper but brushed the feeling to know what the whisper is all about aside then opened her mother’s room .

Mrs Justine quickly ended the call on hearing the sound of the door to her room opening.

Without thinking about the sudden call end Cassy said excitedly “ mum am going out “

“ oh my child that’s nice with who “ mrs Justine asked

“ with a friend “ Cassy answered kissing her mum

“A friend ?but I’ve never met any of your friend “mrs Justine said

“ mum pls he is waiting outside I need to go “ Cassy said running downstairs

“He so its a male friend “Cassy heard her mum’s voice .

Before opening the door , Cassy adjusted her cloths took a deep breath, opened the door.

Walking out majestically, Cassy scan her eyes around to see Fred .

Outside a Lamborghini car, a young man could be seen . He was leaning on the door and his eyes focused on his phone Fredrick Paul.

Fred did that on purpose so Cassy could find him easily well anyways his plan worked .

“ Cassy was perplexed at his dressing .he was putting on a black jeans pant and a white shirt yet not forgetting his mask. Cassy almost ran to hug him but refrained at the thought of the incident earlier today.

“ hey “ Cassy said on getting close to him .

Fred not realizing when she walk close , was speechless for a while

“ hi “ Fred finally found his voice

“ you look beautiful “ he complimented .though he has heard people saying she is ugly but she looks beautiful to him “or is she a twin ? No I would have known “ he thought silently brushing the possibilities aside .

Opening the door the duo entered the car , the car zoomed off.

The drive was quiet both not knowing what to say

“Where are we going “Cassy asked when Fred drove into a bushy road

“My place or should we go to my fathers place instead ?”

“No “

And that was it .

The car soon got to a magnificent building

“ is this your place “ Cassy asked curiously

“ yeah” Fred answered as the thought of what his father said the day he gave this house to him

“ in case you are in trouble and you find me but am no where to be found this building is the only place you can hide “ his fathers voice rang in his ear

The gate opened and closed after Fred drove past

“This place looks old it’s like the houses royals live in . “ Cassy whispered to her self

“Hey” Cassy heard Fred’s voice but there was something about his voice it was closer like he said it close to her ears

Looking up to be sure , Cassy saw Fred leaning at her shoulder .

“ are you scared “Fred asked staring at her eyes

He just wanted to see her reaction . Her reaction is what he will believe not her words

“ no am not “ Cassy answered looking away

“ shit”Fred curse under his breath

He just wanted to show her part of his life not scare her .

“Am sorry “ Fred apologize hugging her

Cassy was dumbfounded

Even though she wanted to push him away , she just couldn’t .

The both lean closer enjoying their warmth .

A message that was out for division ,pop out on Fred’s phone screen “ you don’t want to loose her right ? Then distance “ Fred’s body froze . He slowly pulled away from the hug .
