Chapter five(5)

First kiss

Cassy got to school with Mara ,with smile plastered on her that anyone who see her wondered the reason behind it .

Because for the first time they saw the ugliest girl that is always moody smiling and she look extremely happy.

Casssy gave Mara her bag then whispered

“This bag is kind of special today keep it save “

To Mara

“Are you carrying………”Mara didn’t finish her statement but stopped seeing that Cassy has ran off

“Silly girl what’s inside this bag that made it special “ Mara asked curiously but didn’t open Cassy’s bag to fill her curiosity in case the special thing happens to be a secret .mara kept wondering what it was as she find her way to the class room .

But unknown to Mara Cassy folded Fred’s hoodie in her bag hoping to give it back to Fred .

Cassy got to the vice principal’s office ,swept and mop before proceeding to the girl’s restroom.

But on getting there,she met a sparkling room the toilet ,the floor everywhere,Was sparkling .curious to know who has done it ,Cassy check to see a glimpse of the person but she didn’t find anyone there just a paper with seven words”it has been done go to class “pinned on the mirror.

Cassy went to class happily but deep down she hope to meet the person one day either a male or female.

After more than 40 minutes the biology teacher walk into the classroom.

Well Cassy happens to be a science student but she never liked science subjects all she has ever dreamt of was to be a model but her ugliness has forcefully brought her to science class .

The few minutes for biology seems like forever to Cassy that she kept checking her wristwatch to know how many minutes was left but the time kept tickling slowly .

She was so uncomfortable when she turned to Fred seat and saw it empty .

Even though Fred wasn’t the type to seat at all the lessons she just hope to find him in the school garden.

What seems like forever finally came to an end .

Cassy took out Fred’s hoodie.she had wrap it earlier this morning in a small bag as she didn’t want the students piercing eyes on her when they see her with Fred’s hoodie today after all the drama of the previous day.

Walking into the school garden,Cassy eyes kept looking around to see fred but when Cassy couldn’t find him she felt like a bride whom her groom didn’t show up on their supposed wedding day .feeling heartbroken and disappointed,Cassy made to leave But stopped when she heard footsteps .

Remembering the incident of the previous day of how those scum boys almost raped her,Cassy became so scared . But summoned up courage and turned to see who owns the footsteps she heard . Her mind became at ease when she saw Fred .

“Looking for me”Fred asked folding his hands on his chest

“No “Cassy quickly defended her self

“But I can swear that it’s my hoodie you are holding “Fred said

Cassy wondered if he heard a mockery or a smiling face when he said that

“Well you can have it “Fred said walking away

Not thinking twice ,Cassy ran hugging him from behind

“I know am ugly but I deserve some attention from you no matter how little “Cassy said crying

Cassy continued when Fred didn’t say a word

“I like you I know we just started talking but my body language has been sending you the message yet you play obviously to it .

Finally getting hold of himself ,Fred pulled Cassy’s hands from his body

“ I don’t like you next time allow a guy come for you don’t do the chasing “Fred said looking away

“You should say that with you eyes facing me you know “Cassy said bitting her lips in-other to hold her tears from coming out

Not knowing where the strength came from ,Cassy kissed Fred on his lip

That was the only opening in Fred’s mask .

Realizing how wrong it was, Cassy ran out of the garden throwing Fred’s hoodie at Fred .

Cassy ran into the girls restroom and the tears she has been holding finally found it’s way out .

“What have I done?

I just gave my first kiss to that mask guy I know nothing about not even his real face gosh this is the height of it I just had a crush on him because he was a loner like me but why am I crying it’s only a crush right “ Cassy kept pouring her heart as she cry she kept asking her self a lot of questions .

As her tears gush out .

Looking at her face in the mirror a scream escape from her mouth

Her face was rough her eyes were swollen and her lips cracked

Bending her face to the sink ,she splashed water on her face and spat out blood before raising her face back to the mirror .

Cassy went to class took her bag and went home with the excuse-that she was ill

She had mixed feelings when she got to the class to take her bag and met Fred’s absence again

She was happy because she was ashamed of her self she didn’t know how and what he thinks of her after the abominable act she just done at the garden.

Yet she was sad because she wanted to see him one more time before going home .

Getting home and on opening the door Cassy met her mother’s absence and a note on the dining table telling Cassy that she went to the grocery store to get some food stuffs .

Cassy ran upstairs to her room before her mother returns she was happy she met her absence as she wasn’t ready to answer query of why she was back from school earlier that usual and why she was looking this way with her swollen eyes and cracked lips .

Meanwhile fred was scattering anything he could get hold of in his room.

“Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this life ? “ fred asked in frustration smashing the flower vase on his reading table .

“I can’t live how my heart wants

Always living the way my father wants me to ?

I can’t accept my feelings for her because I want to protect her ?who have I offended that am made to live this way ? I shun everyone from been my friend because I want to protect them

am made to wear mask in other to conceal my identity from who ? “ Fred kept asking questions nonstop those questions were not just coming now ,they have been there . But just like always no one was there to answer .

Men don’t cry but Fred found himself crying he was in a situation that he couldn’t help himself

His hands were tied .

Tired of life no mother ,no siblings no family just a father and money fred sat down crying .

Yes his dad was rich but sometimes he find wealth useless but just then, an ideal poop up .

Reaching out for his phone on the bed he dialed a number.

“ hello I need you to search an address for me and if possible the persons number I will forward the picture of the person and every thing I know to help you get what I asked for faster “ Fred ended the call with a satisfied smile

“It’s time to get crazy!!!!! “ Fred screamed as he open his phone gallery ,in search of the picture
