The price of a lie

Lucy’s stone-cold eyes met with Robin’s surprised face.

Both went silent unable to speak a word.

Noir also looked at her with a surprised face.

When tried to speak up, the driver asked, “Why aren’t you getting in? I’ll start driving, the other two passengers are late.”

“We’ll get in right away,” Henry replied.

“Please move a little,” he said to Robin.

Lucy grabbed him by the hand, stopping him.

Henry looked at her with confusion.

“We aren’t getting in this taxi.”

“Please leave,” she said to the driver.

“Weird people. Then why did you waste my time anyway?”.

“Anyway!”.

The driver started the engine and drove away.

Before Robin was able to say anything, the car drove past Lucy who kept staring at them.

“S-stop the car, please!” begged Robin, banging at the window.

“Don’t!” Noir held onto his hand, stopping him from stopping the car.

He gave a puzzled expression back.
