As soon as my illusion gets far enough away, I enter the hidden tunnel behind the quarters that Aurora and her sister and staying in. I need to hear what all they are saying as soon as I leave. They are going to have to talk to each other about more than what they told me. I also need to know if they are working together and just letting me think that they are in opposition or if they really are in opposition.I am also going to make sure that there are no animals or bugs that can get into this room to send messages to Simonetta. I do not think that that is the way that they have been getting her information but it is entirely possible. It is much more likely that Simonetta opted for the one way that she can control the influx of information from Aurora. She is much more likely to choose the way that she can control somebody else over trusting them. That lack of trust could be what ends up being her downfall. She did the same thing in the past but it does not look like she learned he
Elle is not the least bit surprised by any of the news that I have to tell her regarding the sisters. Frankly, I am not exactly surprised either. I wish that it bothered me more but there was not all that much new information when I spied on them. Of course, it is nice to know that Amanda is not on her sister's side as much as we feared she was. There is a little hope there for her."I will make sure that we keep a close eye on them. I will do everything in my power to make sure that they are fed the wrong information and that Amanda is firmly not on her sister's side. Maybe we can stop this all from getting worse." Elle assures me."I need you back at the cottage this afternoon though. Chelsea has to resume her lessons. I cannot have something happen to her and not have a way for her to defend herself. It would also be nice if she could meet with some of the werewolves that Simonetta had kidnapped. She needs to know the risk in case Simonetta comes and tries to sway her to go with he
When we arrive back at the training center, I am surprised to see that Frank has already managed to get Rand here to watch the training and so that I can speak to him. Dante must have passed the message to Frank, who in turn passed it on to Rand. Having these communication lines can sometimes be extremely helpful.Rand is currently watching some of the orphans try to jump over a bar that is about 10 feet off of the ground. It is not something that many full grown werewolfs can do so I am surprised that Dante has some of the pups trying it. I am even more surprised that it seems like some of them are able to make the jump. "Wow, this training is remarkable. I never would have thought to try having them do some of this stuff." Rand says to me as I join him."I wouldn't either. Dante must have seen something in them to have them working on it now. It is not something we normally train for this early. Seeing them make the jump is truly extraordinary." I admit."Yes, yes it is. They are r
Seeing all of the orphans working on their skills really showed us all just how strong their gifts are. Their gifts are quite impressive. We watch them until it is lunch time and then we begin our trek back to the pack house. Chelsea is happily skipping along since she was chosen to be the leader of her group. It was no surprise to us that she was gifted in each area. Maybe not the most gifted in each area but she was definitely gifted in all. "I think that she might just be happy with the way that camp went today." Dante says laughing. "Yes, it does appear that way. I just hate that I have to tell her more about Simonetta later. I do not want that hanging over her." I admit. "If you don't though then you have to deal with the very real fear that Simonetta is going to find a way to capture her. It might not even be against her will if she does not know the real dangers that she poses." He points out. "I know. Does not make my job easier. I was hoping that by the time I was about
Dante has Sage and Hazel arrive in only a matter of minutes. Amora and Scarlett are not far behind them to help in any way that they are able to. If it was up to many of them this entire house would be full of people to help with either my delivery or my sister. "Do you want me to let Frank know?" Dante asks as he runs a cloth over my forehead.Sometime between now and when Elle told me that I was beginning to go into labor, my body decided to completely flip courses. It was almost like it was in shock before and it was forgetting what it is supposed to do during labor. Now that Elle has told it that it is in labor, it has now remembered that it is constantly supposed to kick my a**.I cannot believe that I forgot to let my own father know that I am in labor. I think that is what he would want from me. Even if it is awfully weird to think of him in here with me during this part of my life when he missed so much more of it. It could be nice for Chelsea though if she has him here. Then
As my labor progresses I begin to feel more of an out of body experience than I had expected. I can still feel the pain and the joy of being in labor but it no longer feels as if it is affecting me as much as it should be. Elle is watching me worriedly as I begin to push out the children. "Dante, I need you to talk to her. I have never delivered hybrid twins for somebody before. She needs you." Elle tells Dante. He looks at her in shock before looking at my face. Whatever he sees there must be enough to make him come towards my head instead of waiting to see the children coming out. He reaches out a hand and begins to stroke my sweaty hair as I keep pushing. "Just a little more and the first one will be out." Elle says triumphantly. At that, I give one big push and feel the baby slide out as Elle waits to catch it. She washes it quickly using the element of water and even pulls some gunk out of the baby's lungs. As soon as the lungs are clear, I can hear a baby begin wailing. Eve
"Are you ready to hold your babies?" Elle asks me after she finishes cleaning me up.I nod my head without saying the words out loud. It is crazy to think that I am a mother and I have children of my own now. The thought of these two babies being mine fills my stomach with butterflies that I have not felt in a long time. Both Amora and Dante bring the babies over to me and lay one in each arm. I am not sure which one was born first but they both look absolutely perfect. They are as cute as a baby can be. Honestly though, newborns really are not all that cute so the fact that I think these two are means that they are really adorable. The boy is the one that Amora handed me and he lies in my left arm while the female is in my right. Her arms are a bit hairier than I had expected but she still looks cute. I am sure that the hairiness will fade a bit with time. Most werewolf pups are born with much more hair than they end up keeping."They are amazing." I say as I stare at them both."T
Chelsea comes running in once the babies start to cry for food. Her face is filled with excitement as she rushes over to me. Even though they are hungry, I allow her to hold and rock Caterine while I first feed Archer. I might get good enough to be able to feed them both at once in the future but for now feeding just one is tricky. I never knew that it could be this hard to feed a baby."Hi Caterine, I am your Aunt Chelsea. We are going to be best friends. You are going to get to go to school with werewolf pups and use magic. It is going to be wonderful. I can't wait to teach you everything that I know." Chelsea coos to the baby making all of us smile. It is a good thing that she already has so much experience being around babies because she does a great job holding Caterine while Archer is feeding. She does sit down though as she looks at her. Even though Caterine was crying just a moment ago from hunger, she is now looking at Chelsea with wide eyes. Werewolf pups have much better ey
