Trying to think up an obstacle course that both species will need to work together to get through takes a little while. Eventually, we decide to take the original course idea for the werewolves and then add some extra surprises throughout it.

Thinking back to when we watched the Harry Potter movies, we might eventually make a maze for them to have to go through as well. That could be entertaining to watch them try to figure out. For now, we add things like rock walls that have no foot holds, hoops to swing across that cannot be reached without elemental or telekinetic powers and even a small lake to swim across that is frozen. It has to be thawed out and actually swam across to make it all of the way across.

Everybody stands around and watches us work on the obstacle course. Dante and Kevin constantly give me more ideas on how to make the course more difficult while Julia and Elle help me make the course. It would not be fair for them to try to go through the course since they have

    Trying to match up the witch duos with the werewolf trios is proving to be tricky. Hopefully, by separating them according to ages it will prove a little easier. Hazel will, of course, get along with Connor just fine but I am not sure that the same can be said about some of his friends.     Once the new Council members are gathered, I clear my throat to grab everyone's attention. The Council members line up behind me with the Witches on one side and the werewolves on the other. Instead of them choosing the side that their own species is more specifically gathered on, they decide to stand on the opposite sides. Hopefully, this will show that they are open to working with each other and both species on a regular basis."Thank you all for coming here today. I hope that you had fun with the obstacle course.     The introduction of the Council went pretty well overall. After the introductions were over we mingled together fairly well. The werewolves tried to get to know the witches a little better and vice versa. While the werewolves are finding it difficult to trust the witches, the witches are definitely finding it difficult to open up after all of the fighting that they caused in the past. Of course, most of it was against their better judgment but that does not change the fact that they did still do it. The Witch Council shot daggers at me for the entire night after introducing a Council of our own. They did not like that they were being looked over by the rest of the witches after that point. They still hold some power over the witches but now the witches also have to answer to the joint Council. That is a new concept that the Witch Council is going to have to accept.     The big day is finally here. It is the day that 4 of our novices move up in their training. Today I am going to shake things up even more. With the Coven and the Witch Council. I mean, at this point, why not right? They are just looking for another reason to try to take me on anyways."Are you ready for today?"     Heading back out to the lake area, I look around to determine where the best spot would be. As much as I would love to do the celebration on the platform above the lake but it would have to be gigantic for us all to fit there. Instead, I head for the closest clearing in the nearby woods to see if it would be suitable for today.When I reach the clearing, I find Elle and Rosa already waiting there. They must have figured that I would be heading here to get everything ready. It looks like they have already convinced the tree line to move back some more to give us more room. This spot looks about perfect for today."Thank you for getting this started. It should be the right spot. I need to find somewhere safe for the werewolf members of the Council to be."     The time has finally arrived, I have gathered the girls to make our way down to the clearing. The Hybrid Council is already there, as is the Witch Council. Now, I just have to get the guests of honor down there. The entire pathway is lined with the rest of the Coven's witches. They are here to celebrate these four and their journey on. As the four look around, I see them smile happily at the rest of the Coven. They have been trained in combat for so long that it took a while for them to be able to open up like this. Now, they have peaceful expressions as we begin our slow walk to the clearing. They have strict instructions that they are not to say anything until after the dance is over. Until then, one of their tests is their complete silence. We walk slowly like one would walking down the aisle at a human wedding. Only with this, the witches are not throwing flower petals. Instead, as we walk down, the other witches cause archways of flowers to grow up around us on the path. They m

    The dance begins smoothly for us. We call the first element as we make our first spin around. The ground erupts into beautiful flowers as we begin our spin seamlessly. Switching directions, we begin our flow of water. As the water of layer is added, we keep our shapes simple. Even though we are fully trained, we want the real show stopper to be the novices. That is not something that we want to outdo.Once the circle of water is completed we switch directions again. This time, flames flow out of us into the circle. The flames take some shapes as well but once again they are not as eccentric as I am hoping the Novices make. Now, it is time for the final switch in directions. As we begin the air portion of the dance I spare just a second to look up at the Witch Council. They are positively fuming over the fact that Safiya is performing the dance with us.     After we get done with the dance everybody heads to the lake to celebrate our newest Advanced witches. Well, our first ever Advanced witches actually. There have been a lot of firsts since I got here and I plan for there to be many more as well.At the lake, we have food and drinks set up at the tables. We left an open invitation for the werewolves all to come but I highly doubt that any are going to show up at this point. They either need some space after yesterday or are too worried to come without backup. Still, I would not be surprised if Connor were to show up.Dante has decided to stay for the celebration with me. The pack is used to seeing the two of us together but not the Coven so this will be nice to incorporate in as well.     It did not take long at all for the Hybrid Council to arrive. They all file in looking a little shocked to see Simonetta there, unable to use her magic as she floats slightly in the air. Quickly, they find their seats. Then, both Rand and Frank walk in as well. I had not thought of inviting them but I am glad that Dante did.     Simonetta rushes towards me using wind to guide her speed. It is not enough to throw me off guard though and I shove a wall of dirt up in front of me. She almost crashes into it before she is able to skid to a stop at the last second. If she had prepared then she might have been able to use the air that was helping her speed up to me to jump over the wall but instead, she is used to using her other powers for combat and did not make the decision in time.As soon as she begins to stop, I tear down the wall and shift into werewolf form quickly to land on top of her with my teeth to her neck.     As soon as my illsuion drops I see Simonetta's face blanche. Chelsea drops to the ground and has it swallow her up as she falls through it to meet the others.     Each team splits up and gets ready to make their way through the obstacle course. They are all going to have to take turns trying to make it through safely. Each team has a designated amount of time before they get elminated. The one that makes it through the fastest and with the least amount of mistakes, will be the ones to win the competition. The course is very similar to the one that we did with the entire pack when we first started training. The one that really got the women moving faster as they fought to make good time through the course to beat the men. This one is just a little more geared towards children and not fully grown adults.Some of the obstacles are smaller to better accomodate their size, some things are closer together and they have even added some new obstacles that would have been difficult for the adults. There are also some obstacles that are going to require teamwork to make it through. If they do not work together then they have no hope of making it to the

    It takes much longer than planned to get the babies ready for travel. I have never packed a diaper bag before but luckily Scarlett shows up to help me get them ready and squeal over the twins for a minute.     The first night with the babies was quite a bit of a learning curve. Whenever we put them in their bassinets they just started to cry nonstop until we picked them up again. It took a couple of hours to find out that if we put them into the same bassinet they were able to sleep peacefully and not wake us up. By the time we managed learning that, I was beyond exhausted and ready to sleep.     Chelsea comes running in once the babies start to cry for food. Her face is filled with excitement as she rushes over to me. Even though they are hungry, I allow her to hold and rock Caterine while I first feed Archer.
