The introduction of the Council went pretty well overall. After the introductions were over we mingled together fairly well. The werewolves tried to get to know the witches a little better and vice versa. While the werewolves are finding it difficult to trust the witches, the witches are definitely finding it difficult to open up after all of the fighting that they caused in the past. Of course, most of it was against their better judgment but that does not change the fact that they did still do it. The Witch Council shot daggers at me for the entire night after introducing a Council of our own. They did not like that they were being looked over by the rest of the witches after that point. They still hold some power over the witches but now the witches also have to answer to the joint Council. That is a new concept that the Witch Council is going to have to accept. The big day is finally here. It is the day that 4 of our novices move up in their training. Today I am going to shake things up even more. With the Coven and the Witch Council. I mean, at this point, why not right? They are just looking for another reason to try to take me on anyways."Are you ready for today?" Heading back out to the lake area, I look around to determine where the best spot would be. As much as I would love to do the celebration on the platform above the lake but it would have to be gigantic for us all to fit there. Instead, I head for the closest clearing in the nearby woods to see if it would be suitable for today.When I reach the clearing, I find Elle and Rosa already waiting there. They must have figured that I would be heading here to get everything ready. It looks like they have already convinced the tree line to move back some more to give us more room. This spot looks about perfect for today."Thank you for getting this started. It should be the right spot. I need to find somewhere safe for the werewolf members of the Council to be." The time has finally arrived, I have gathered the girls to make our way down to the clearing. The Hybrid Council is already there, as is the Witch Council. Now, I just have to get the guests of honor down there. The entire pathway is lined with the rest of the Coven's witches. They are here to celebrate these four and their journey on. As the four look around, I see them smile happily at the rest of the Coven. They have been trained in combat for so long that it took a while for them to be able to open up like this. Now, they have peaceful expressions as we begin our slow walk to the clearing. They have strict instructions that they are not to say anything until after the dance is over. Until then, one of their tests is their complete silence. We walk slowly like one would walking down the aisle at a human wedding. Only with this, the witches are not throwing flower petals. The dance begins smoothly for us. We call the first element as we make our first spin around. The ground erupts into beautiful flowers as we begin our spin seamlessly. Switching directions, we begin our flow of water. As the water of layer is added, we keep our shapes simple. Even though we are fully trained, we want the real show stopper to be the novices. That is not something that we want to outdo.Once the circle of water is completed we switch directions again. This time, flames flow out of us into the circle. The flames take some shapes as well but once again they are not as eccentric as I am hoping the Novices make. Now, it is time for the final switch in directions. As we begin the air portion of the dance I spare just a second to look up at the Witch Council. They are positively fuming over the fact that Safiya is performing the dance with us. After we get done with the dance everybody heads to the lake to celebrate our newest Advanced witches. Well, our first ever Advanced witches actually. There have been a lot of firsts since I got here and I plan for there to be many more as well.At the lake, we have food and drinks set up at the tables. We left an open invitation for the werewolves all to come but I highly doubt that any are going to show up at this point. They either need some space after yesterday or are too worried to come without backup. Still, I would not be surprised if Connor were to show up.Dante has decided to stay for the celebration with me. The pack is used to seeing the two of us together but not the Coven so this will be nice to incorporate in as well. He is, of course, a permanent fixture when it comes to me so it is only natural that he be around the witches more. The rest of the Hybrid Council has opted to head back to the pack. I feel way better after having the Council members all set. Now, for the party. Each of these girls has definitely earned this party after all of their hard work in the last few months. They have worked hard enough to catch up on all of the training that they should have been having from the beginning. That is a huge accomplishment in such a short time span.There are many others that might be ready to move on as well but we cannot have them all move on at one time. These four had shown the most exceptional improvement in such a short time span so they are the ones that got to move on the fastest. "You did amazing today." The next week, I decide to turn my focus back to getting some of the teenage werewolves ready for a weekend on their own in the woods. With all of the drama that happened after the last time we tried it, I have not tried it again. This time, I am going to have to keep a closer eye on everyone that is staying on their own for the weekend.This group is actually made up of all females. At least I should not have to worry about the witches coming to distract them. Well, hopefully not. I guess there is still a chance of that.
