Julia seems to be sweet and meek when we finally get back to the club house. I try to keep her close to me since she was one of the witches that was attacking us before. Even though the pack is good at listening to my requests, I cannot imagine that they would be nice to her after what happened before. Instead, I have her sit next to me while we order enough pizza to feed the entire pack. From more than one pizza place since there are so many of us.
"So, you are truly not upset that I kept you from leaving with the witches?" I ask her uncertainly.
"No, does it really matter though. You have every right after what we did to you earlier. That was really ingenius how you beat us though. I can't imagine that Morden ever expected you were capable of something like that. So far all she has taught me is how to fight but none of the other important aspects of being a witch." She says sadly.
If that is true then she is missing out on an entire chunk of training. She most
When I make it back to the pack house the pizza has finally arrived. I am so hungry after fighting the witches that I jump right into the line forming to grab slices and fill my plate. It is amazing how much pizza a bunch of wolves can put away. After I get my pizza I move to find a place to sit. Scarlett and Quin are sitting at a table alone so I make my way over to them and plop down next to Scarlett. After I stuff two pieces of pizza unceremoniously into my mouth I finally get the nerve to talk."So, I take it that you do not want to go to Kiba's pack now?" I ask uncertainly.Quin shakes his head before answering, "No, I do not think that it would be the best idea. Somehow they knew that we were trying to leave so they must have known where we were going as well. Besides, I have never seen you do that kind of magic before and I have to admit that they were not the only ones taken by surprise. If you managed to learn all of that already then I can only assume
The next morning I have to teach a class on self defense before heading over to my own lessons. Even though Scarlett is not able to do most of the lessons she is going to sit in on them and at least watch. That way if she is attacked again then maybe she will know how to handle herself without harming herself or the baby."Alright it has been a while since our classes have been regular so is everybody ready?" I ask the class after they all find their spots. After a resounding yes I say, "That is good. Now, as you all know, I have been training with my grandmother and have learned a few witch things that might help us. I am not going to use my powers against you but I will make it easier for you to learn how to fight witches. First off, I will have you all practice a couple different combinations before I add in some shadow people for you to practice with. These shadows are going to look like people without any distinct features that will only respond to moves that are d
"Raina, is it that time already? Oh my, time has gotten away from me. I have been getting to know Julia a little better and have been testing her but I must not have realized how late it has gotten. Please, come in and we will finish up before I start on your next lesson." Elle says to me with a smile when I walk in.Finding a place to sit on the sofa, I watch them in confusion as Elle seems happier and easier going with Julia here. She does not normally smile at me and I would have never expected her to be okay with me showing up late. Maybe having Julia here will be good for her psychologically.Elle is holding her hands over Julia's when I feel the wind in the house pick up some. So she must be an elemental witch. Still unsure as to what else she has been tested on, I just continue to study what all is going on."Good, I understand a little more what we need to work on. You can actually join us today for our lesson since you are both at about the
A short practice with Elle means that I have more time to spend with Dante. It seems like every time that we eat dinner together lately it involves other parties and sometimes even ulterior motives. It has been quite a while since we have been able to just sit together and enjoy dinner.Knowing that he is in the kitchen getting our dinner started, I head upstairs to take a shower so that I can help him once done. There is nothing more relaxing than cooking together and enjoying a meal together as well. After an extremely rushed shower, I am out the door and on my way down to the kitchen.Dante is in the kitchen listening to some popular pop song that I am unfamiliar with and dancing while he stirs up some food. Trying hard not to giggle at him, I watch as he shakes his butt while tossing together some vegetables. When he starts to shake it even faster I cannot help the giggle that escapes. He turns around quickly and notices me leaning against the wall."I take
The next few days all blend together with the plethora of training that I am both teaching and receiving each day. The wolves are getting less wary of their shadow helpers so they are beginning to focus on their form more and put more effort into their training. Now that I can test everybody's moves at the same time I can move people to smaller groups that go by skill level instead of everybody being in the same group. I end up with four much smaller groups that need to train at differing levels. The level that is the lowest is full of mostly younger kids that are not paying attention well and the elderly that are having more problems keeping up. The next level is those that are not quite behind but are still struggling to keep up. After that comes what I call the advanced level that is up to learning new techniques weekly. The last group is the elite group that might soon be moving to train with the guys if they wish. Now that the women are getting much b
"So, is this your first time working with illusions?" I ask Julia. She seems really happy and excited when she nods her head yes. For her first time that was not bad. Then again, I only trained on them for one day before managing to trick all of the witches before. I keep hearing that it takes quite a while for someone to learn how to do illusions but maybe that is just something that Elle likes to say to me to boost my self esteem."That was pretty good. It was a bit dramatic so it was hard to pass off as anything but an illusion. Besides that, if I hadn't figured that part out it was very believable. The only thing that I would suggest is maybe to watch some butterflies fly together closely before trying it again. I could not tell what it was but something just seemed off watching them." I suggest."Okay. I love to watch nature so no problem. I am more than happy to try tricking you again. Elle told me about how you managed to trick her." Julia say
After practicing for another hour I am close to giving up on the auditory illusion. I have not been able to get any closer yet to getting it right. If I open my eyes, I can slowly strip away one visual element at a time until only the sounds are left but that is not something that would be able to trick anybody if I had to do that every time."So, do you think that if you try somebody's voice that you are not quite as familiar with then you might have some more luck? It just seems like every time you try to recreate his voice it comes with a visual of your bedroom. Maybe somebody that you have talked with here would be a good start? Then you wouldn't have to visualize anywhere other than where you are standing. It might be kinda like cheating but if you can do that then I am sure that it might help you get to where you can do it with other sounds as well." Julia suggests again."You know, for being just as new to this whole learning the craft thing, you sure do h
Once I calm down a little bit, Dante walks me into the house and sits down on the sofa next to me. He calmly rubs my back as I keep taking deep breaths to try and relax a little."Do you want to tell me what happened? A lot of pack members were worried to see their Luna walking lost in thoughts and close to tears." He tells me.So that is why he was waiting at the door. I know that I can tell him anything but the thought of crying over the possibility of hearing their voices again seems a little silly. Still, I do feel better after letting the tears out so maybe talking about it more will help as well."Elle began teaching me something similar to an illusion. It is an auditory illusion. So I can make people hear things without changing what they are seeing. It is a lot more difficult and it took me a while to get a right. Once I finally had one good attempt I realized that with auditory illusions, and heck even full ones, I would be able to see and hear my paren
