chapter 5

Elizabeth's POV:

Dinner went well; Grandpa and Grandma had to leave early because they had things to do. Grandma gave me this Bunny bear, which was so cute, while Grandpa gave me some money to get things for myself, which made the boys jealous.

Right now, I'm in my room trying to arrange myself for tomorrow. I'm finally going to school. Not gonna lie to you all, I'm scared as hell, but Dad says it's better to start now since I can spell.

It's one of those typical rich kids' schools; our uniforms are really cute, to be honest – a white top, a cute brown skirt, and a little tie with it. I love it.

Different thoughts went through my mind; I honestly don't think I will make friends. Dad did say Zack and I are having all classes together, but I don't want to be following him like a lost puppy. Ryan was going to a different school, so it was only Zack and me since the others were done with school.

With a sigh, I walked towards my locker and placed my books on it, then took the cute BTS bag my dad brought for me.

"What if they make fun of you or don't make friends at all?" my inner voice said. I didn't feel like thinking about any negative things right now.

With that, I walked to the bathroom and did my night routine. My scars were all gone now; it was only the little marks of the knives that were on my skin. I wasn't tiny like before. I'm proud of myself, to be honest. With the help of Dad and the boys, I feel more special. I still had questions though, but I knew it wasn't the right time to ask.

With that done, I walked into my bedroom to see Ryan there. He was cuddled up again, but this time didn't have tears on his face. Smiling softly, I walked over to the bed, got in, pulled him closer to me, and then placed a kiss on his forehead before turning off the light.

"Goodnight, Sissy," I heard him mumble in his sleep. Then I whispered, "Goodnight, Ryan," before sleeping off.

"WAKE UP, ELI!" I heard someone scream in my ear, making my eyes open with fear, thinking something bad had happened. Only to see my two brothers laughing their butts off while I look at them like they are crazy.

"You should have seen your face," Zack said while Ryan tried hard to breathe, rolling my eyes at them, I got up from my bed and stormed into my bathroom, banging the door on the way. That didn't stop them from laughing though.

"What a great idea to start my day," I whispered before slapping my arms over my mouth in shock.

"Did you just speak?" my inner voice said. Still looking at myself, I smiled softly before jumping up and down. I can't wait to see others' reactions. With that, I took my bath, did my hair, brushed my teeth, and walked out into my bedroom before changing into my school uniform. I styled my hair for the special day, grabbed my bag, unplugged my phone, and walked downstairs.

"Good morning, princess," Dad said while coming down with me.

"Morning," I whispered back softly. I think he didn't hear me because he kept on walking before we got into the kitchen.

"Wait, did you just talk?" Dad says with his eyes wide. Nodding my head, I laughed softly before saying, "Yes, Dad, I said good morning."

That's all it took before I knew it, I was in his arms while he spun me around with him. Our laughter filled the room before my brothers came to him.

"Why are you guys happy on a Monday?" Levi groaned.

"Your sister just spoke," Dad said with a little jump. He looked really funny, like a kid waiting for his Christmas gift. All my brothers snapped their heads towards me while I smiled softly before saying, "Good morning, guys," I whispered again, my voice still a little.

That's all it took again before I knew it, all my brothers were screaming like girls, and Dad still jumping up and down. It was really funny and a happy moment to see, while I laughed at their reaction.

"Best day ever," Ryan says before attacking me with hugs.

"Okay, everyone, today is Eli's big day at school, so we can't miss this," Zack said before grabbing pancakes from the table and started eating while everyone grabbed theirs and ate too. With that, we all got into the car and drove to school.

"Let's hope it won't be bad," I whispered to myself.
