Elizabeth's POV:

It's been a month since I have lived in this house, and I have finally gotten used to the environment.

Dad didn't let me go outside, though, saying everything I needed was in the house. Sometimes I was left with only Levi and Leo; the others had school, and Mike had a hospital he owned. He did a check-up on me once because of my limping and how tiny I was looking. Turns out some of my ribs got broken, and some of the scars were infected. He gave me some pills and a breakfast schedule.

But I just loved the attention I was getting from them.

Also, my classes went well with Levi; he taught me how to write and spell, which was hard at first but I got used to it. On Friday, Dad bought me a phone and told me to start my online classes. Zack set up everything I needed on it and downloaded a lot of music for me. Also, my therapy sessions have been going smoothly. Mrs. Brown, an Asian lady, has taken care of me well. It was hard at first, but I later got used to it.

Everything was going perfectly, and I was enjoying my stay here. I mean, sometimes I do get scared of the boys' loud voices and yelling. But I started getting used to their crazy behaviours.

I also found out that my family was a popular person. Dad runs a lot of compounds and clubs, while the boys have little businesses they own, except Ryan and me.

Speaking of Ryan, sometimes when I wake up, I will see him cuddle up next to me. A few times, he had tears on his face, but I didn't say anything about it. I have heard him once say how I looked exactly like Mom, so I won't be surprised if he just wanted that feeling of having Mom back.

Today was going to be fun, though. That's what Ryan said. I was going to meet my Dad's parents, our grandparents. Ryan said something about my Mom's family cutting away from us when she died, saying something like, "They are always so rude and noisy" - that's his words, not mine.

So here I am in my room getting ready. I still haven't said my first word yet; everyone kept on supporting me and telling me they were always here for me. I'm really happy having these people as my family.

"ELIZABETH, please come down, your grandparents are here," I heard Dad call out to me, then heard soft voices and an excited Ryan shouting too.

"Let's see how this goes then," the inner voice said with a tap on my cheeks. I walked out to the voices in the living room.

When I got to the end of the stairs, I smiled softly, looking at everyone. My Dad had his hand covering his mouth, while my brothers had proud smiles on their faces. I did a little spin, giggling softly, making my brothers clap their hands happily, while Dad stood there in shock.

"You look so pretty, princess," Dad whispered, coming close to me. Giving him a bright smile, my cheeks turned red from all the attention I was getting.

"Come on, grandma and grandpa are waiting," he said, holding his arms out for me to grab. We walked into the living room to see two couples laughing with themselves. It was a cute sight, to be honest.

Dad stopped walking and cleared his throat, gaining the attention of the two couples. The lady gasped loudly, tears growing in her eyes. She looked at me and then at my Dad, who had a proud smile on his face.

"Mo-" Dad said but was cut off by my grandma running towards me and hugging the hell out of me.

"Omg omg omg, my little star!" my grandma spoke so fastly I was trying to understand her because it felt like she was speaking another language. She kept saying words with me in her arms while the boys tried not to laugh at my state.

Grandpa stood there, his hands on his mouth, while Dad said comforting words to him.

My grandma pulled away from me with a big smile, while I gave her a little smile of my own.

"You look just like your mom, Eli," Grandma said while playing with my hair. She kissed my forehead and then pulled me towards Grandpa, who had his arms opened out for me.

With that, I walked into his arms, rested my head on his chest and stayed there. That's all we did, just stayed in each other's arms.

"Can we go eat now? I'm hungry," Ryan groaned out, making everyone laugh softly.

Not gonna lie to you all, I'm scared as hell, but Dad says it's better to start now since I can spell. It's one of those typical rich kids' schools; our uniforms are really cute, to be honest – a white top, a cute brown skirt, and a little tie with it. I love it.Different thoughts went through my mind; I honestly don't think I will make friends. Dad did say Zack and I are having all classes together, but I don't want to be following him like a lost puppy. Ryan was going to a different school, so it was only Zack and me since the others were done with school. With a sigh, I walked towards my locker and placed my books on it, then took the cute BTS bag

When we get to school, just stay close to me. A lot of people will look at us, but pay no attention to them. Also, school isn't a happy place. Some people will try to say rude things to you, but just come to me when they do, okay?" Zack says while his eyes stayed on the road."You don't have to explain all this, Zacky. Levi already told me, and from the books I read on Wattpad, I know how high school works," I said to him. With a nod, he let out a breath before saying, "I have some friends at school. Like, we are 5. You're gonna love them, except Austin; he doesn't like people," he says.Nodding my head, I gave him a thumbs-up before looking ahead."REDWOODS HIGH SCHOOL," I mumbled, looking at the school building."Wow," I whispered. Elizabeth's POV:Classes went by fast. Too fast, if I was being honest. No one spoke to me except Teo and Zack, and even they seemed distracted. Zack's other friends kept glaring at me once in a while but never said anything. I guess that was a good thing, but it still made me feel like I was constantly being watched, judged. Their glances didn’t go unnoticed—especially from the girls. I felt their eyes on me, quiet but sharp, like they were sizing me up. I wasn't exactly eager to figure out why, so I avoided looking their way.Now it was lunchtime, and I knew better than to show up at the cafeteria. I wasn’t in the mood to sit there under those stares again, forcing a smile or pretending everything was fine. The air in there felt too thick, too tense. It would be awkward, stuffy, uncomfortable. No thanks. I sent a quick text to Zack, letting him know I wouldn’t be coming, then made my way to the school library instead. The hallways were quieter than usual, with most students eithe

Elizabeth's POV:When science finally ended, the feeling of relief washed over me. It wasn’t that the class was particularly hard, but my mind had drifted off a few times, making it seem longer than it was. The bell rang, and Anna and I exchanged smiles as we packed up our books. “So, can I have your number?” I asked her, casually slipping my phone out of my pocket. Her eyes widened slightly, but she nodded, a shy smile tugging at her lips. We exchanged numbers, and I felt a little lighter knowing that I had officially made a friend today. It wasn’t much, but it was a start. It felt good to have someone I could talk to outside of Zack and his friends. I made a mental note to text her later, just to see if she made it home okay. The hallways were crowded as usual, a rush of students pushing their way out of the school. I didn’t mind, though. It was the same every day—people eager to get home, escape the day, or meet up with friends for whatever plans they had. I felt my phone buzz in

Elizabeth's POV:When we finally pulled up to the house, I was greeted by my brothers and Dad at the door. The second I stepped inside, they bombarded me with questions about my day.“How was it?” “Did you make any friends?” “Anyone bothering you?” I could barely get a word in between all their questions. Finally, I smiled and said, “I made a new friend. Her name’s Anna.” The room went silent for a second before my brothers and Dad broke into cheers. Mike threw his hands in the air like he was at some kind of sports event, while Levi pumped his fist, and Dad did a weird little dance move that made me laugh. I stared at them like they were crazy."What's the big deal?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. They just kept laughing. "We knew you'd make friends in no time," Levi said with a grin, while Dad nodded like he was proud of some kind of accomplishment.I couldn't help but smile back at them. As for the boys, I and Teo also got close; I saw him as an older brother. For Mikey and James, we did talk once in a while. James did try to flirt with me, which got Zack angry, but I laughed so hard I almost fainted. My therapy session was going well too; Mrs. Brown was surprised when I finally spoke to her. Then there's Austin, who was confusing, to be honest. Sometimes he could look at me and just walk away. We haven't had a conversation before, though, but I was hoping one day we could.Today was a sports tryout in school, and I was applying for basketball. My brothers have been teaching me a lot of basketball moves, and I suddenly fell in love with it."What's your name?" a black lady with funny hair asked me."Elizabeth, Elizabeth King's," I said to her quietly. It wasn’t like her to disappear for this long, not without telling at least one of her brothers where she was. The boys were pacing the living room, restless, their concern as clear as mine. I sat at the head of the table, my hands clenched into fists on my lap, trying to keep my frustration at bay. The more time passed, the heavier the dread in my chest became.I looked up at my best friend, Michael, who sat across from me, his brow furrowed with concern. The silence in the room was deafening, interrupted only by the occasional shuffle of feet or a sigh from one of the boys. Finally, I cleared my throat, breaking the heavy tension."I'm sorry for disturbing you all this evening," I began, my voice quieter than I intended, "but my daughter, Elizabeth, is missing again."The weight of my words sank into the room like a stone into water. I didn’t dare look at him now; instead, I focused on the houses blurring past outside the window. “You’ve been like this since the first day we met.”For a second, there was silence—just the soft hum of the car and the faint music playing from the radio. Then he said it.“Because I like you, and I want to take you on a date.”His voice was so casual, so matter-of-fact, that for a moment I though

I set my phone down with a quiet sigh, my fingers brushing over the stack of papers on my desk. No matter how chaotic life got, seeing Elizabeth happy always brought me a strange kind of peace.“Mr. Mike?”I turned my head toward the soft, almost hesitant voice coming from the door. Rose stood there, her small hands fiddling nervously with the hem of her dress. Her wide eyes peeked up at me shyly, and I couldn’t stop the small smile that tugged at my lips.“Yeah, Rose?” I said softly, leaning back in my chair. She hesitated for a second before speaking. “Um, today

I turned to see Mr. Black walking toward me, his hands tucked casually into the pockets of his tailored slacks. Adrian's Point of ViewThe dim light from the single hanging bulb flickered as I leaned against the chipped wall, staring at Victor Hale. Beaten, bruised, and bound to the chair, he still managed to look smug. His lip was cracked, his face swollen, but his arrogance hadn’t disappeared.“Your biggest nightmares are coming,” I told him, my voice low and cold.Victor let out a short, bitter laugh, his bruised face twisting into a smirk. “They’re finally coming, huh? Took them long enough. Must be a family reunion.”His words grated on me, but I didn’t let it show. Men like Victor thrived on getting under people’s skin. He wanted a reaction, something to latch onto so he could twist it into his favor.“I don’t think you understand what’s coming for you,” I said, pushing off the wall. My boots echoed against the cracked concrete floor as I stepped closer. “You sold my niece, shattered her life, and sent my sister—your precious Amanda—down a road she’ll never come back from.
