The last day bride

Episode 03

A LITTLE FROM THE PREVIOUS EPISODE

Rissa was handcuffed and taken to the cell,

THE STORY CONTINUES

Rissa washed her tears

"The cell odor like it's gonna make her poke

The noises of the disgusting giggle made by the five other women in the cell,

And the whole problem in her life make dead be the final thought in her mind,

"After all, my life is useless," should I end my life? "does my life worth living?"

She asked herself,

"Awww, such a cry baby", if you know you can't survive it here, why make a crime that will bring you here?

One of the women asked and they laughed out,

Rissa kept mute and rest her head on the wall with her eyes close as tears thrilled down her cheeks,

Someone raged in her front,

"Don't keep shot when we are speaking to you, you wanna prove you are stubborn huh?"

Another lady asked with a gigantic voice,

"Am sorry, but my head hurts, I don't want to talk,

Rissa answered calmly,

"Don't worry, your head will begin to pain you since you are here, coz right now, your head is not paining you,

You will find out what real suffering is in this place, so get your ass off and work,

The woman ordered in a disgusting horrible voice.

Rissa stood up, 

"You gonna wash this latrine now,"

She ordered,

"The disgusting smells of urine, shits and other horrible odors make Rissa puke immediately,

She held her stomach puking her lungs out while they laughed,

She felt a hand on her shoulder,

Have this, a voice said lending her a bottle of water,

Rissa used the water to rinse her mouth,

"Am sorry, you have to get used to it"t, I will support you,

A ragged-looking young lady said nicely with a faint smile,

"I can't do this, I can't"

Rissa sobbed,

"You have to my dear, else these vicious women will make your life hell in this cell, I know life brings you here, but don't wish to have a taste of what living in the cell is,

The lady countered,

"Rissa bobbed carrying an old metal bucket, while the lady helped her with a broom,

With tears in her eyes, she washed the toilet

The women are already snoring loudly, disturbing Rissa's ear,

The lady has left to get something, 

'Have this, I collected it from the cell cooker,"

The lady said giving Rissa a plate of white rice,

Thank you, but where is the stew please?

Rissa asked

The lady Chuckled,

"Stew, in this place?"

Hell no,  this rice is the rice and the stew,  no oil, only rice, and some little ingredients, it tastes, but you will get used to it,

The lady mumbled ,

Rissa looked at her hands, then the food,

She gradually took a bite, she throw it out immediately,

"You have to try dear, you can do it,"

The lady said

Rissa tried one more time, with the bad taste of the food, she ate it,

Is better to eat than to stay hungry,

She haven't eaten since the day before yesterday in the morning when her dad denied her food,

"By the way, am Tracy,

The lady introduce,

"Am Rissa, thanks for your kindness,"

Rissa forced a smile,

"You have such a nice name, and from your face, you look damn innocent, you are not a criminal, I know it,

But what brings you here?"

Tracy asked,

Rissa sighed trying to stop the tears threatening to fall from her eyes,

"Stepmom right?" Tracy asked,

"How do you know?" Rissa asked,

"I saw the pains I felt one year ago in your eyes, the pains that I will never forget,

The pains that landed me up in jail for a crime I have never perpetrated.

"A step mum had eradicated my life and joy"

"I don't care if you are inquisitive in my story, but I felt so much better saying it out,

Tracy said and paused,

"I had a happy family, my dad, rich landowners, my mum, a famous lecturer,

Am their only daughter, and they treated me like a queen I was,

"I never lacked everything,

I get everything I want even without saying it out, I just need to point a finger at it, and it's mine,

"My mum died as a result of a ghastly car accident leaving me with my dad,

After being in the hospital for some time,

I realized I have another reason to live, to be happy, my dad,

Tracy said and paused, crying out loud,

Rissa pulled her in a hug,

"Life hasn't been normal for me and my dad, we weren't happy, but you know, we have no option, we kept pushing,

"One day, dad returned home very excited, that's the first time I saw him happy since when mum died,

"He announced to me he is getting married again, I was not happy about it, but dad assured me,

She is a good woman,

"I had loved to see him happy", and I accepted,

"My step mum showed me, love, whenever he was around and showed me hatred and hell immediately he turns back,

"Life has been hell and sweet for me at the same time,

"One day, while coming back from school, I saw my step mum adding some substances to my dad's juice,

Before I alerted him", he was laying on a pool of blood".

'My step mum have poisoned him, I was scared and terrified losing my only happiness again, I jumped on him, begging, pleading, but he died,

"He left me alone in this cruel world,"

"My step mum laughed in victory, she called the police immediately pretending to cry,

Blaming me for the death of my dad,

She seized my dad's property and she won the case,

"I was locked up here for the crime I never did,

Tracy narrated

Tears wet her body as she narrated the story,

"I always thought I had the saddest story, but hearing about yours today, make me realize how much strong you are,

Rissa said as they cried together,

"I want you to be brave like me", I don't want to hear your story, I want you to have faith, be strong and everything will be okay,

Tracy said tabbing her back gently,

"With tears in their eyes, they lay on the floor, staring at the worn-out celling and slept off all wishing tomorrow to be good,

THE BROWN PARADISE

"Clifford Walked out of the bathroom with his towel tied around his waist leaving his full chest and abs opened,

Some one knocked on his door,

"Who the hell is that?" he asked

" Your dad", Mr. Brown sent me to give this to you,

A voice replied,

"Keep it there and get the fuck out of my door".

Clifford ordered rudely,

The voice did as he ordered, kept the papers, and left the door,

Immediately, Clifford opened the door,

He saw a well-wrapped paper waiting patiently for him

He hissed loudly before taking the paper,

He tears the wrapped paper and a lot of wedding invitation cards fall,

"Who is getting married?" is dad getting married again?" he asked himself

Anxiety had taken over him as he quickly looks at the card,

His face turns sad

"Whaaaaat, he screamed

His eyes landed on the date,

"The family of the Brown Paradise is happily inviting you to the wedding of their son, and the heir to the brown ENTERPRISE

Clifford Brown Maxwell,

8:00 time

Venue: intercontinental Alter,

Wish to see you there,

The card reads,

The card fall from his hands and he stormed out of his side to his parent's seating room,

"Make sure to make everything beautiful and fast, the wedding is happening in a week,

Clifford heard Mr Brown said

A lot of clients are roaming around the seating room,

"Yes, we are ordering for 400 hundred hotels room, I don't mind the price, from 1 million dollars to 100 million, just make sure is a comfortable one,"

I want my son's wedding to be the talk of the Town,

Mr Brown added,

"Dad, what the hell are you doing?" Clifford shouted, 

"Oh yes, don't forget to make sure the invitation email has reached everyone,

Mr Brown ordered another client to ignore Clifford,

"Dad, you gotta stop this whole nonsense and tell me what the hell is going on and who the hell is getting married,

Clifford shouted,

"I guess you read the invitation card right? and the name of the groom to be is written on it, so why the silly questions, or do we have another Clifford Brown Maxwell?"

"Mr Brown asked,

"Dad, how many damn times am I going to tell you, am not ready to get married,

Clifford shouted,

"And how many times do you want me to repeat myself,

Is either you do as I said or you will lose everything,

Mr. Brown threatened and Smirked,

"The only thing you knew how to do is to threaten me, "I hate you,"

Clifford spat angrily,

"Whatever Mr Brown said

"Who the hell is the bride?"  Clifford asked,

"I also don't know, but the date will not change, you sure gonna get married on that fixed day or you gonna lose everything,

Mr Brown answered and walked away,

Clifford angrily push the table by his side, 

"I hate you," he shouted

⬜Mr. Williams home,

Mr Williams sat on one of the couches in the seating room lost in thought,

Claudia and her look at him one after the other,

"What's wrong with you, you seem disturbed?"

Mrs Jenny asked

"Is Rissa, am disturbed, I don't know how she is doing, has she eaten or not,

Mr Williams replied,

"Wow, you now care about her?"   what are you trying to say, you gonna tell me brown Claudia that caused the accident or what?"

Mrs. Jenny asked

"Am doing nothing if such, is not like am pitying her, she is my daughter for goodness sake,"

"I have to know how she is doing, besides, Mr. Brown summoned me to be in his company by 9:30,

Mr. Williams ranted,

"If you dare involve my daughter in this, then you will regret it,

Mrs Jenny warned,

"Am not gonna do that, I just want Rissa out of that place so Claudia won't be the one suffering and arranging her room.

" gotta go,

Mr Williams said and peak her,

"Dad, get me some chocolate while coming back, Claudia said

"Sure baby, Mr. Williams replied and headed outside to the place he parked his car, he entered and started the engine

A FEW MINUTES LATER

He arrived at the magnificent building,

Money is indeed good, he thought,

He walked to the receptionist, 

"Hi, please am looking for Mr Brown,

Mr. Williams said

"Do you have an appointment with him?"

She asked.

"Yes, am here to talk about the accident that happened yesterday,

Mr. Williams said,

"Oh, follow me, the receptionist replied,

He did as he said,

She knocked on the door gently,

"Yes, come in Tessa, Mr. Brown's big voice was heard,

"Tessa removed her card from her purse and slide it in a small glass at the top left-hand side of the door

The door opened,

The sight view of the office make William open his mouth in awe

He gasped at the building, this is truly s paradise, he thought station at every corner in the office,

'If you are done staring, you can come in,

Mr Brown said jotting him out of his dreamy world,

"Uhmm, the good day Mr Brown,

Mr Williams greeted

"What's good about the day?" Mr. Brown scoffed,

As usual, he lit on his cigarettes mixing them with a cup of whiskey,

"Do you know this whiskey can feed you and your whole family for months?

Mr  Brown asked puffing the smoke on Mr  William's face

He coughed,

"If my cup of whiskey can be so expensive, I don't care, I can forgive your daughter if I feel,

Mr Brown said,

Mr Williams nodded,

"Are you dump, can't You answer me with your mouth?" or you mean am a fool that I speak with a low life like you,

If not for your daughter's sturbness, you ate not fit to be here coz even my workers look better than you,

Mr Brown said,

"I have nothing to say than to apologize, we have no half or even quarter of the money to repay you with she is such a young girl,

Mr. Williams pleaded,

" A young girl my foot, so a young girl do drink and drive? don't tell me that Mr. Man,"

Mr  Brown said angrily,

"But anyway, there is a way I can forgive you on one condition,

Or am not gonna help you in any way,

Mr Brown said

"What boss?

Mr. Williams asked,

"I want your daughter's hands in marriage in return for the money she made me lose,

Am going to marry her,

Mr. Brown exclaimed
