writer's POV

Selena spotted Rufus striding towards her with confidence, causing the people behind her to move aside.

"Are you alright?" Rufus stood in front of her, his intense gaze scanning her from head to toe, his expression filled with concern as if something grave had occurred.

Confused, Selena shook her head and asked, "How did you know I was here?"

Rufus didn't respond immediately. Instead, he glanced at Ava, who was not too far away, and parted his lips slightly, "My friend, the owner of the bar informed me that the lady I took home last time was taken away by the police due to a fight."

"Oh!" Selena's mouth hung open halfway. Did he think she was at the police station causing trouble?

"I didn't do anything, it was just a minor incident," Selena explained, tucking her right hand into her dress.

Ava strolled over with a lazy gait and spoke in an indifferent tone, "Why did you bring so many people? You even brought the company's lawyer..."

Just picture him on top of us,* Meeka said sarcastically, causing Selena to almost burst out laughing. Rufus glanced down at Selena's head nestled in his arms. Her soft body rested against his strong frame, making her look so innocent. Rufus closed his eyes, exhaled, and then opened them again, feeling his wolf restlessly wagging its tail. *Damn it, Rufus! We stood there, motionless, as our eyes locked onto each other."I'm... ready!" she gulped, finally speaking in a seductive voice that sent shivers down my spine.I got off the bed and approached her, my gaze piercing into hers. Slowly, I squeezed her nipple."Mhm," she moaned, trying to break eye contact, but I wouldn't let her. I held her face in place and forcefully pressed my lips against hers, the kiss lacking any gentleness. Our lips and tongues continued to intertwine in a passionate, hungry kiss, filled with flavor and intensity. Selena's POVAfter finishing the meal that Rufus or the housekeeper had prepared for me, I found myself unable to sleep. It was already 2 a.m. when I heard a strange noise coming from downstairs. Curiosity got the best of me, so I got out of bed and made my way downstairs. As I reached the stairs, I was surprised to see Ava, looking visibly annoyed, walking in and plopping down on the sofa without any regard for manners."Ava, what are you doing here?" I hurriedly descended the stairs in my slippers and nightgown.Ava slumped on the sofa, staring at the ceiling with a look of despair on her face, not bothering to answer me.Without her saying a word, I knew that our parents must have scolded her. Not only did she get into a fight with Williams, but she also made sure to leave her mark on him by scratching his face.I let out a sigh and said to myself, "Did Mom and Dad kick you out of the house for fighting with Williams?" I asked, and Ava nodded."Damn it!" I muttered under my breath

I knocked on the door of her room."Come in," her voice sounded.I entered the room and saw Selena seated on a chair, her fingers on her laptop. As she turned around and saw me, she greeted me with a smile. "You're back," she said.My throat moved, and a certain emotion stirred within my dark eyes. I responded with a low "hmm."Suddenly, Selena asked, "Are you hungry? I can get you something to eat!"I didn't respond immediately. Writer's POV Selena couldn't believe it when she heard the word "apologies." She immediately spoke up, her voice filled with confidence, "There's no need for my sister to apologize.""You should know better than to interrupt when adults are speaking," Williams mother scoffed, her anger evident. She continued, "Look at the well-behaved children you've raised!"Mr. and Mrs. Habsburg remained composed, but hearing the Cobbler couple talk about their children in such a way was hard to bear."My children are well-behaved. If anyone needs a caution, it's your son. Do you think we don't know of what he did on the engagement day?" Mrs. Habsburg finally couldn't hold back her frustration."My son had something urgent to attend to. And let's not forget, he was ready to make amends, but no, your daughter was so strong head!" Mrs. Cobbler replied, her annoyance clearly showing in her voice. "Your daughter rejected him right away and brought a mere man to marry in front of everyone.

  • The last bloodline   Episode 33

Writer's POV As the Cobbler family left, Selena let out a sigh and wiped her forehead, unknowingly standing in front of Rufus. Rufus glanced down at her long, straight black hair, noticing a few strands that were sticking up. He found it adorable and couldn't help but smile. He raised his hand to gently press them down. Selena felt a slight weight on her head and looked up at Rufus, her innocent eyes filled with confusion. Unaware of what she was thinking, Rufus's fingers continued to stroke her hair. The warmth of his touch on her scalp carried a subtle tenderness. Selena felt a fiery heat where he touched her and quickly lowered her head, trying to hide her panic. Why was he looking at her with such gentle eyes?! Unable to tolerate it any longer, Ava slapped Rufus's hand away, pulled Selena to her side, and ruffled her hair. Selena tilted her head and gave Ava a stern glare. Ava acted as if nothing had happened, looking away and raising her eyebrows provocatively at Rufus.

There’s a barrier that keeps out anyone with bad intentions," Davies said, his teeth clenched. He hesitated for a moment, as if recalling something important. "But how did you…" "It’s because I came here peacefully and mean no harm," Issa interrupted, cutting off Davies. "You have to believe me, Lillian. Nireus has witches who can break that barrier," Issa insisted, her gaze still fixed on Lillian. Lillian took a deep breath and muttered, "Come with me..." Writer's POV Lord Nireus was standing on a high stage surrounded by the clamoring crowd. His remarkable position allowed him to have a clear view on everything on the open arena. The sound of weapons colliding sounded routinely from before him, and the sound of steel tearing steel was definitely more satisfying to Lord Nireus ears than any fine instrument could be. This is the biggest field in Reds tribe. In the field, there are just two men battling each another. One of them is tall, wearing dark covering, and his swordsmanship is exceptionally powerful. The less flashy fighter facing him had no elaborate armor, just a simple layer of rust-resistant fabric that matched the color of the ground. The only decoration was a bright lion's head emblazoned on his chest. His sword skills were also significantly stronger! Surprisingly, he was nearly a head shorter than the man across from him, yet he managed to overpower his opponent with sheer strength! As the duel started
