Episode 27

Writer's POV

As Selena and Rufus made their way past the staircase, Selena accidentally stepped into thin air, causing her to stumble forward uncontrollably.

Rufus reacted quickly, catching her arm and pulling her close to him. His strong hand firmly held the back of her head, drawing her towards his chest.

For a moment, everything seemed to go silent, and you could hear a pin drop.

Selena's heart was racing, and there was a deafening sound of drums pounding in her ears.

Beneath her nose, she caught a faint woody scent of Rufus, carried by the evening breeze, enveloping her entire body.

*Oh my goodness! Just picture him on top of us,* Meeka said sarcastically, causing Selena to almost burst out laughing.

Rufus glanced down at Selena's head nestled in his arms. Her soft body rested against his strong frame, making her look so innocent.

Rufus closed his eyes, exhaled, and then opened them again, feeling his wolf restlessly wagging its tail.
