Chapter 41

Ashley's world was a blur as she drifted in and out of consciousness. The pain in her head pulsed like a relentless drumbeat, and her senses felt muddled. Slowly, she began to regain some clarity.

Opening her eyes, Ashley found herself in an unfamiliar place. It was dimly lit, and the air was thick with an unsettling atmosphere. She realized she was sitting on a cold, hard floor, and her hands were tied together with a tight knot. Panic began to set in as the realization of her situation sank in.

"Thalassa,what's going on?" Ashley croaked, her voice shaky from both fear and the lingering effects of the blows to her head.

Thalassa who had been standing nearby, turned to face Ashley. Her expression was cold and emotionless, sending a shiver down Ashley's spine. She held the stick she had used to strike Ashley earlier, and it was stained with something dark that Ashley didn't dare to contemplate.

"You shouldn't have come here," Thalassa said cryptically, her voice devoid of any warmth.
