It was a question that seemed to come out of nowhere, and I couldn't help but wonder what had prompted him to bring up Rolf, someone who had been a distant figure in my life until now.

My mind raced to make sense of Thorian's question. Rolf had always been somewhat of an enigma to me, a mutual acquaintance but never really a close friend. I recalled the few interactions we'd had, and the image of a reserved and thoughtful individual came to mind. It was clear that Thorian was probing for my thoughts and feelings about Rolf, but I couldn't discern the underlying reason for his inquiry.

Taking a sip of water to buy myself a moment, I replied cautiously, "Well, I don't know him all that well, but he seems like a decent guy. Quiet, but decent." It was a vague but honest assessment, based on the limited interactions I'd had with Rolf at social gatherings.
