Chapter 182

consciousness crept back into her mind. The pounding in her head was unbearable, a dull ache that intensified when she tried to open her eyes.

“Damn," she hissed as the migraine hit her in full force. She felt like her head was splitting in half and she couldn't even help it. “Where am I?" She muttered as she turned.

She blinked several times, trying to adjust to the dim light filtering through the room. It was then that the cold, hard reality hit her—she was tied tightly to a chair, her wrists and ankles bound with rough rope that dug into her skin.

Panic surged through her, and she instinctively began to struggle against her restraints. The chair creaked under the force of her movements, but the ropes held firm. “Who is here! Help me!" She called out, wiggling.

Panicked, she glanced around her, the memories of what had just happened assailed her. Someone had grabbed her from behind and she'd passed out with the pungent smell forced in her face. She'd been drugged and now she was
