The next morning, Megan was gazing at the beam of sunlight that streamed into the bedroom. Her eyes slightly opened as she laid next to her son.

It was early in the morning, barely the first light and she couldn't get herself out of bed. The events of the past day weighed heavily in her and she stifled a yawn as she rolled over.

At this same time, there was a loud knock that echoed across the house and she startled up, a little disoriented. She hadn't been expecting anyone to be at the door, not at that early hour.

While Megan was still trying to get her wits about her and find out who was at the door and knocking so loudly, Jake woke up with a stir too and looked at her questioningly. "Mummy, who's knocking at the door?" He asked in a sleepy tone.

Megan tried to smile at him even though she was just as confused as he was. "Mummy will go check it out, okay? Just get back to sleep," she cooed and missed him on the cheek, rolling out of bed.
