Mother-son reunion

The next morning when he woke up, he was already jumpy because he was going to see his mother. Irvin had woken him up and told him she was already out, waiting for him in the living room. He was nervous and everything around him seemed to have a little bit more impact on him than usual such as the clinking of the spoon with the bowl from which Irvin was eating his cereal.

“She is downstairs?” He asked for the hundredth time and Irvin didn’t seem to mind answering again.

“Yes, love. She is downstairs.”

“You know I keep thinking I’m gonna say this and this and this to her and ask her about everything I want to know but I know that when I’ll be face to face with her, I’m just gonna glue my lips together.” He showed his concern.

“Babe, it’s alright. You’re going to talk to your mother after 20 years. It’s normal. Just breathe in and take all the time you want. She isn’t going anywhere.” Irvin put a hand on Zadkiel’s shoulder.
