“Sweetie, don’t cry, you’ll get ugly if you cry.” Daddy stopped the car, got out, and got in the backseat. He hugged me and brushed my hair using his right hand.

“Only 1 month.” I heard Mom’s voice.

“5 months.” We both look at each other.

She took a deep breath and said. “2 months.”

I pressed my lips together and said. “4 months.”

“Okay fine, 4 months after that you’re going home!” I want to jump right now, I’m so happy!

“Yes! Thanks, Mommy. You’re the best! By the way, I’m going to study there.”

“What? You mean, you want to go to the school near your Grandma’s house?”

“You have no friends there Aira, and you don’t even know what kind of attitude they have.”

“Maybe they’re kind,” I said.

“Maybe, we’re not sure.”

“Mom, don’t overreact. I’ll be okay.” I murmured and held her hand.

“Alright, we’ll visit you three times a week. And don’t worry about things at school, your dad and I will handle it all.”

Mom doesn't look happy with this but anyway my mom will be okay with this, she just needs time.

“Yeah, all you do is pack your things,” Daddy says.

“Okay, thanks Mom, Dad. Love you!” I hugged Mom and also Dad.

I never thought that Mom would allow me to live with Grandma for 4 months. Is this a dream? Am I daydreaming?

I pinch my cheek, and it hurts. So, this is not a dream. I’m just happy because I’ll be able to meet new people. And I will make real friends there!

How will they treat me at my future school? Hmm, is it the same? But it would be better if they treated me just like everyone else. If there are rich people too, they shouldn’t know that I am also rich. Hmm... okay, I’ll just keep it a secret from them.

Wake up early in the morning. I can’t wait to see Grandma right now!

I got up and went to Mommy and Daddy’s room; I knocked on their door and just a few minutes later, someone opened it.

“Oh, what are you up to early morning sweety--“

“We’re leaving. Did you already forget?” I look at him.

“Where?” Daddy asks.

“Grandma’s house,” I said and brushed my hair using my hands.

“Oh, right—wait… what??” he looks shocked.

“As in, you want to go there right now? Have you packed your things yet?”

I nodded. “Yeah,”

“But your Mom is still sleeping-- “

“What’s wrong, honey? Who are you talking to?” I heard Mom’s voice. She just woke up, I think.

“Your daughter already wants to go there, honey,” Dad says.

“Go where?” she asks.

“Grandma’s house,” I replied.

“What?? Aira, you can go there next week, not today.”

“But, I want to go now!” I said while pouting my lips.

Mommy and Daddy stared at each other. “Just say yes, honey.”

“Okay fine, take a bath in your room and we’ll take you there.” I giggled, hurriedly walked to my room, and took a shower.

_

“Mommy, I’m done!” I’m already carrying one of my luggage.

“Why are you carrying only one piece of luggage, sweetheart?” she asks.

What’s the matter? Should I just bring a bag? But I think that’s too small.

“Ha? Why? Is there a problem Mommy?”

“Your clothes can’t fit in just one luggage, bring more clothes.” Mommy entered her room and came out. She’s already carrying a piece of luggage right now.

She entered my room, so I followed her.

“Oh look, you didn’t bring this lotion, alcohol, perfume ...” I just blinked and stared at her, putting it all in the luggage.

“I put your new dresses and your jewelry here, hmm makeup--“

“Mom, you know I don’t use makeup that much.” I mean, I wear makeup but only in photoshoots.

She already brought the makeup case and luggage. She called Yaya Celine and asked her for some help.

“Let them carry that luggage,” Mommy said and pulled my hand down the stairs.

Mommy told our chef to cook us breakfast. We sat down while waiting for the food.

“Oh, bring this.” I looked at my dad sitting beside me.

“What’s that Daddy?”

“Black card, buy what you want to buy. There is no limit, okay,” he said. I don’t even know what I want to buy, so why give this to me?

“And this money put it in your wallet.” He’s about to hand me money. “Uhm I forgot where I put my wallet, Dad.”

“We’ll just buy a new one. We’ll go to the mall first before going to your Grandma’s house.”

“Be careful of what you eat in there, sweetheart, okay? Don’t eat junk food that’s bad for your health.” Mommy says.

“I understand Mommy,”

“Senorita Aira, is this wallet yours?” I turn my gaze to Wendy. She’s also our maid.

“Woah, that’s mine! Where did you get this?”

“In the garden, senorita, while I was cleaning I saw that wallet.” Oh, maybe when I run there, there are a lot of butterflies in the garden and sometimes when I’m bored, I chase those butterflies.

“Okay, thank you very much!” Daddy took my pink wallet.

“I’ll put it in your wallet-oh what’s this?”

“What? What’s wrong Daddy? Are there any cockroaches in my wallet?” I asked in surprise, looked at my wallet and I saw nothing.

“Sweety, you didn’t spend the money I gave you?”

“Ahh no, I always forget my wallet in my room, or sometimes I forget where I put it,” I said with an explanation.

“Uhm, the money under your bed and pillow--“

I scratch my finger. “I think that’s the money you give me the other month, Mom.”

“Sweetheart, keep your money in safety, like put it on your wallet, cabinet, etc.”

“Sorry, Mom,”

“Don’t be sorry. It’s my fault. I should buy you a piggy bank so if you don’t know what to buy with that money just put it in there.”

I just nodded.

_

We finished eating and in a few minutes; we left.

I fell asleep. Slowly open my eyes when I feel someone shaking my shoulder.

“Sweetheart, wake up, we’re here!” I sat up straight, looked out of the mirror, and saw Grandma standing in front of her door’s house.

I quickly got out of the car and hugged Grandma tightly.

“I miss you so much, Grandma. It’s been five months since the last time I saw you.” I sadly said to her.

“Good afternoon, Tita.” Daddy greeted Grandma. Oh, it’s already afternoon?

Grandma’s house is small, her house is not made of wood. But it’s okay.

I looked at Grandma’s side. I just noticed that there’s a small shop.

“Are you selling Grandma?” I asked. She smiled and nodded.

“Hi, Mom. G-Good afternoon.” Mommy stepped closer to Grandma and seemed hesitant to hug her.

I looked at Daddy because someone suddenly called him on the phone. He’s now talking...

“Honey, we need to go. I almost forgot that we have an important meeting at three pm.” Daddy says.

“Sweety, we’re leaving. We’ll get back here tomorrow. Tita, we’ll go first!” Dad waves at me.

“Be careful sweetheart, I love you.” Mommy kissed me on the cheek before they finally left.

“Aira let’s go inside.” We were about to go outside but I suddenly remembered something.

“Wait, my luggage is in the car!” I was shocked. I slapped my forehead. Then I heard Daddy’s voice, so I raised my head.

They came back. He probably remembered that my belongings were in his car.

My Dad put my luggage in front of us.

“Be careful sweetie, bye I love you.” he kissed me on the cheek. Mommy waved at me and they left.

Grandma and I just laughed and already went inside the house.

“Kiara told me you’re going to live here for 4 months.” Grandma is smiling right now, can’t take her eyes off me.

Grandma is already 65 years old. Grandpa just died two years ago because of a heart attack.

“I want to be with you Grandma, that’s why.”

“By the way, this is your room. I’m sorry because it’s small.”

“No, it’s okay Grandma. I love it!”
