SETTING UP A DATE

Olivia was having a harder time adjusting to her life as Daera, she had learned the name of the three youths, the talkative one was named Eight while the quiet one was called Meek, the two were equally terrifying but it was the cold faced Venom that drove fear into her heart, his piercing gaze had always made her feel guilty, she lowered her eyes, carefully avoiding his gaze, she turned to face Eight who was reading from a long sheet of paper.

" These are the rules and regulations you must follow, you must not order any delivery food, you'll eat everything Daera eats, you are not allowed to back out from any mission, you are not allowed to faint, it is a disrespect to boss Daera"

"Shivering, stuttering and crying is also not allowed, you must keep the golden mask on your face at all times and lastly you must address me as Master Eight only if we are alone " Eight concluded righteously before a punch landed on his face.

" No one is calling you master, if you want to be called master, then you can go and train the new recruits " Meek said calmly as if he hadn't just delivered a punch on Eight's face

" What makes you think I can't train the new recruits, I'm stronger than you and way more smarter than you, just because you joined earlier than me doesn't give you the right to look down on me" Eight argued back.

Even though Olivia wasn't a member of the undead, she could tell who was smarter between Meek and Eight, while Meek was quiet and difficult to read, Eight's talkativeness made him less frightening, if she wanted to survive in this hellhole, Eight was the only one she could cling onto.

" I will obey all your orders, Master Eight" she said submissively

A trace of scorn appeared in Venom's eyes while Eight on the other hand tried so hard to suppress his delight, it was the first time anyone had ever called him master, even though the new recruits respected and feared him as a superior, no one had ever chosen him as thier master while Meek, Venom and the others had a lot of students. They all complained that he was too much of a talkative.

Even though the one who called him master was a weak and pampered heiress, Eight still felt a surge of pride

" Yes that's good" Eight guffawed loudly, gloating at Meek and Venom.

The two of them shook thier heads helplessly at him, not understanding where he got his twisted logic from.

Olivia didn't expect such a luxurious hotel to be in a desolate place like devil's lane, although it was nothing compared to the hotels she'd been to, it was still manageable.

" We'll be heading back to base tomorrow so make yourself feel comfortable" Venom muttered, his cold gaze piercing arrows at her, how the hell was she expected to feel comfortable when he kept staring at her as if he could snap her head off the next minute.

She could only breathe a sigh of relief when the trio walked out, at least they had the decency to book two rooms, she didn't forget to mutter a loud " Good night Master!" to Eight.

Olivia sighed, the dinner that was left on the bedside table was untouched, she couldn't stomach food at the moment, Daera's words continued to ring in her head

' my life was perfect until your dear mother found out that I was still alive and sent assassins to kill me'

Daera's revelation coupled with Royal's betrayal made Olivia wince in pain, she knew even if she suffered to death in this place, it wouldn't bring back the woman that had cared for Daera, Tears slid down Olivia's face as she curled into a ball on the unfamiliar bed, there was no Viola lying beside her and 'Stuffy' her cuddly big teddy bear wasn't here either, she wondered how Daera was doing in the Kingston mansion and she wondered how her poor Viola was doing.

In the Kingston's mansion, Viola eyed the king-sized bed with longing, if this was her eldest miss, she wouldn't have hesitated before joining her to sleep on the bed but after finding out that this person was a ruthless killer, she wouldn't dare to do anything to annoy her, she could only watch her sleep alone on the bed while she had to spread a blanket on the cold floor.

At this moment, Viola missed her eldest miss, she couldn't bear to sleep wholeheartedly as she glanced at the girl from time to time, the girl appeared to be sleeping, her thick eyelashes framed her heart shaped face, dressed in a pink bunny pyjamas, she was angelic, just like her eldest miss, she must have done a really perfect surgery, Viola wondered how much hatred she had for the eldest Master to change her total appearance just for revenge.

On the king sized bed, the girl's face contorted with pain and a cry of anguish escaped her mouth, Viola was startled as she saw the girl trashing wildly on the bed, her face was drenched with sweat as she struggled, she was stuck in a horrifying nightmare.

" Mother... mother" Erada cried out in her sleep

Viola panicked, if this was her eldest miss, she would have rushed to call the mistress but faced with this imposter, she could only stare like a dummy, suddenly, the door of the room was pushed open and a woman in white night robes walked in, the worry in her face was evident as she observed the girl on the bed," the words, mother.. mother" made her heart ache unbearably.

Viola bowed awkwardly, she had not expected the mistress to suddenly enter the room, Rivera's eyes scanned the room, finding it strange that a blanket was laid on the floor, she was used to seeing Olivia and Viola share a bed, the two girls had grown up together and they had shared a bed since they were little but for the first time, Olivia actually asked Viola to sleep on the floor.

" Why didn't you call me immediately after seeing that she was having a nightmare" Rivera questioned icily and Olivia stammered guiltily

" I..I didn't want to disturb your rest"

" Nonsense" Rivera snorted " I'll always be there for my daughter whenever she needs me, don't hide something like this from me again"

" Yes ma'am" Viola murmured

Rivera had been worried sick about her daughter, she had been standing beside her door, wanting to check up on her and the anguished cry that tore out from her throat made her kick the door open, seeing her daughter calling for her, Rivera rushed to her bedside, trying to calm her down.

" It's okay, Olivia, mother is here, it's just a nightmare, I'm here now" she tried to touch her forehead when a ruthless punch was delivered to her chest, Rivera staggered back in shock, clutching her chest as a tremendous pain wrecked her body.

" Don't touch me! Don't.. don't touch me" Erada screamed with her eyes still tightly shut, even though she was stuck in a nightmare, she still hated Rivera's touch and she had landed her a blow, unconsciously.

" Mistress, are you alright" Viola rushed to Rivera's side, Rivera was stunned, she knew how weak Olivia was and she didn't imagine that Olivia would be able to deliver such a powerful punch, as the matriarch ( female leader) of the Kingston family, she was not inferior in strength and her son Royal, was skilled in martial arts too, the only exception in the family was Olivia who was so weak that she could barely endure the basic training. How on earth did Olivia manage to hurt her.

Rivera shook her head hastily, she was thinking too much into it, Olivia was clearly traumatized to the point of having nightmares, looking at her daughter sweat-drenched face, Rivera endured the excruciating pain in her chest and climbed atop the bed, this time around, she didn't touch her anymore.

" Olivia, mother is here, it's mother" her words barely had any effect as Erada continued to murmur " mother.. mother.."

Rivera's heart ached but there was nothing she could do, she couldn't comfort her daughter, she could only lie next to her daughter until she quietened, still Rivera didn't leave her side, she would spend the night with her daughter.

There was a frown on Draco's face as he carefully analyzed the documents in front of him, He sneered before tossing the documents into the bin.

" He wants custody of Zephyr,Break his two legs and throw him into the nearest lake you can find" Draco ordered calmly

" Yes boss" Ricca, Draco's personal assistant nodded hastily, he was used to handling stuffs like these and it didn't even surprise him that the person his boss ordered him to deal with was his sister's husband.

Draco Steele, CEO of Glam jewelries was ranked number one in the top ten most eligible bachelors, as the CEO of the biggest jewelry making industry in Green city, he was always in the news but that wasn't what made him popular, it was his dark side that made him frightening and dangerous, he was known as the 'king of the underworld' and the world 'mercy' doesn't exist in his dictionary.

Ricca hastily left the office and two seconds later, he rushed back in as if he had just been chased by a ghost.

" B.boss, she is here"

Draco didn't raise his head " who is here"

" The little demon..I mean the little angel, she is here alone" Ricca hastily amended

A trace of panic flashed across Draco's eyes for a millisecond " let her in"

Ricca knew how much his boss hated being disturbed while working and they were only two people who had the nerve to do so, one was his grandfather and the other was the little demon of the Steele family, Zephyr Steele, his eleven year old niece, right now she was knocking impatiently on the door, yelling furiously " let me in!!! Ricca!!!!!"

Ricca pushed open the door and she glared at him " why didn't you just let me in earlier, you're so annoying.. ugh"

Zephyr snorted

" Why are you here Zephyr" Draco said with a fierce scowl, everyone called him frightening and intimidating but unfortunately, none of it has ever worked on Zephyr

" Don't glare at me like that, I'm not scared of you at all, to be honest that's why you're still single after so many years, no girl wants to marry a guy with a permanent scowl on his face"

" I said why are you here!!"

Ricca flinched at his boss's terrifying tone but Zephyr remained unmoved.

" I came here because I was bored" Zephyr pouted

" And where's your bodyguard"

" He wouldn't let me get out of the house so I kicked him in the balls and I escaped, he's probably chasing after me right now"

Draco almost cursed out loud, he turned to face Ricca " He's incompetent, let him know he's fired immediately"

Zephyr smiled sweetly " actually ,I told him already but it'll be better if Ricca confirms it"

Ricca only felt bad for the poor bodyguard who had been kicked in the balls and yet fired at the same time, that was why he feared this little demon, she was the only one that could influence the boss to do anything, if he annoyed her too much, he had no doubt that she would ask for him to get fired, even though he was respected by everyone as Draco Steele's assistant, in front of this little demon, he could only wag his tail like a dog.

" Little Miss, why don't I get you a cold drink"

" Don't try to bribe me, have you found the lady I asked you to find?"

Ricca wished he hadn't opened his mouth, it has been over a year that the little demon asked them to find a mysterious lady but as hard as they tried, they couldn't find anyone that fit the description in the whole of green city.

" Little Miss, we are definitely trying our best but I believe we'll find her very soon"

Zephyr arched her brows " trying your best or lazing around, it's been over a year, don't tell me you don't want your job anymore Ricca" she smiled sweetly and her smile gave Ricca the cold shudders, he prayed in his heart that his boss wouldn't take the little demon's words seriously because it was truly embarrassing, not being able to find a lady after a year of searching.

" Zephyr, I warned you not to leave the house, do you know the punishment for disobeying me" Draco said coldly, even though he tolerated Zephyr, it didn't mean he would allow her to run around wildly.

Zephyr stuck out her tongue " too bad cause I've called grandfather on my way here and he'll be here anytime soon besides if you had found the lady I asked you to find, I wouldn't have come here at all, your office is just so full of drooling ladies, they're all acting so nice to me and I can tell they're faking it just to get close to you"

" I see, you really came prepared" Draco sighed helplessly

" Yup, I learned from you, to always have a backup plan, right now grandpa is my back up plan" she smiled cheekily before sitting down on the swivel chair, turning the chair around several times.

Draco stared long and hard at the picture on his desk, it was the picture of the eldest miss of the Kingston family,

He had gained custody of Zephyr two years ago and she was kidnapped a year ago, it was a planned attack, more than a hundred assassins had surrounded her on her way from school and the two bodyguards he had assigned to protect her were murdered

A woman in a black mask had shown up, she had singlehandedly killed the assassin's, by the time he got there, she had disappeared , he only caught sight of a tall slender figure, dashing past him, she didn't just kill the men, she also stitched up the wound on Zephyr's arm, one of the assassins had cut her with a knife.

He had set out to destroy the group of assassins but before he got there, they had all being killed. He had tried to find her in all the hospitals in Green city, from the way she had carefully stitched Zephyr's wound, she could be a physician but he couldn't find her, it was almost like she didn't exist.

After years of searching, he finally stumbled on the picture of the eldest miss in one of the fashion magazines and he had a sudden feeling of de-ja-vu , the more he looked at it, the more he found similarities between her figure and the mystery lady but after doing a background check on the eldest miss of the Kingston family, he found out that she was a weakling that couldn't even defend herself, so how on earth did she singlehandedly kill a hundred assassins.

Draco was still staring at the picture when an old man walked into the office, he was putting on a purple robe as he tapped on his cane, most people feared this old man, he was Edward Steele, Draco's grandfather and Zephyr's great grandfather.

" Draco! How dare you bully my granddaughter, I've come to take her away!!" He thundered darkly.

" Grandpa" Zephyr's eyes brightened immediately as she rushed to hug him, almost pushing the poor old man to the ground.

" Ow.. gently.. don't break these poor old bones"

" Why are you here grandfather" Draco said coldly

" Is that how you welcome your grandfather, didn't I tell you already, I'm here to take Zephyr for the weekend"

" And?"

" And to set you up with a nice girl of course, there's this outstanding girl I've found, the two of you will be a perfect match"

" I'm not interested" Draco said flatly

" Do you know how much trouble it was to finally find a girl that meets your expectations yet you won't even take a look at her" the old man was enraged, he was about to throw a fit when his eyes stopped at the picture lying on the desk, he snatched it immediately

A mischievous glint appeared in the old man's eyes " no wonder you won't take a look at the outstanding girl I've found, you've found such a beautiful young lady already"

The old man continued to smile as he observed the picture " why don't you just ask her out on a date immediately, well don't worry, I, your grandfather will help you handle it, Ricca, set up a date with your boss and the lady in this picture tomorrow"

Ricca took the picture as if he had just been granted a death sentence, how could he set up his boss with a random woman, was he tired of living

" B.. but..I.. it's not proper"

" What do you mean not proper! Do you want me to beat you up, stop looking down on my old bones, I can easily beat you up" the old man hollered furiously.

Ricca trembled, even though he was beaten to death, he wouldn't set his boss up with a lady.

" Ricca, just do as grandfather says"

Ricca's eyes widened in shock, did his boss just agree to a date

Draco wanted to meet with the eldest miss, there was a lot of things he wanted to find out, but for the old man, he couldn't control his excitement.
