Chapter six

Maddox

*FLASH BACK*

I groaned as the silver chains cut through my skin .The pain was minimal but it was enough to subdue my wolf.Clover and my mother looked at me worriedly through the cage .

                       "Why are you doing this ?"I screamed.

                       "We have to put your beast to sleep Maddox ,we can't deal with something else.."

              "Something else huh..." I laughed humorously ,"of course but you don't know what you are doing because I can control myself." I growl so loud the walls shake 

                  "You can't ,"Clover jumps .She smiles sadly and looks at me with that same look 

                 "And how would you know it just let me out," I growled.

                    "You have no one else to answer to Maddox and you don't have a mate to remove the curse ..we need to fix you for now,"

                      "You are making a mistake !"I scream." No! noo !let me go!"

            I thrash around and groan as I try to get free from the chains but the silver  that cut through my skin make me shout in pain .These people don't understand me .They don't know that the beast inside can never be tamed.Clover smiles then closes her eyes as she chants some words in Latin.

          As she chants the same words in Latin I feel a sharp pain in my heart .Voices scratch my head begging me to stay but I can't.My blood freeze as I scream in pain .

    I wake up panting fast and loudly I look at the digital clock next to my bed and discover that It is only just 4am and I can't go back to sleep at this point .Beads of sweat fall down my face as I wipe my face.I sit up and look out my window and notice that the moon is full and bright . This is perfect a time for a good run .A good time to shake every feeling I have right now.

         Fuck! I can't stand these thoughts and dreams that haunt me every night .I can't stop thinking about my mate .My Wolf keeps on pacing back and forth in my mind .The urge to to find her and take her and just mark her .I just can't ....My Wolf growls at me in anger telling me to go and take her but my human side isn't ready to accept that fact .I need a fucking run.

                    

                     I quickly get out of my bed and slid off my boxers. I open the door to the house and take in the fresh breath of cold air outside. I completely let my Wolf take over .

                     Black slick fur sprout from my skin and my eye colour still remains green .Every were wolf changes its eye colour when they shift but to show that their wolf is in control but not mine .I go down on fours immediately my bones crack taking form of my Wolf . After my run . I quickly take a shower and dress in my usual black jeans and black cap . I jog downstairs to find Luke having his breakfast. His plate is full unlike me Luke eats like a horse .He never gets full and is always hungry .Thank God for our fast metabolism as werewolves.

                            "Hey man ,"He greets me nonchalantly as he grabs a folk full of eggs and eats quickly.

                        "Alpha...."I correct him even though he never listens to me .My wolf hates the disrespect but I'm used to my asshole beta .

                           "No shit ,"Luke replies with a monotone voice and continues to eat like he didn't just annoy me.

                                    "I heard you found your mate,"He adds with his mouth full of food .

        At the mention of my sweet little mate .My wolf purrs and a growl escapes my lips . I can still smell her sweet scent and I get agitated immediately because I will not let the mate Bond dictate my feelings for someone much less a human being. Iam better off alone .

        " I don't see how my mate concerns you,"I growl 

     

                    "It concerns me alot a hell lot and the pack as well.The pack can feel their Luna and the effects of the bond between you two .I believe ....."

                            "Wow Luke !"I interrupt him with a loud voice," I don't think my personal life has anything to do with you or the issue at hand here or the future of the pack . Besides no one thought I was fit to have a mate not even you believed In me," trying to keep my composure because I was almost losing my shit this morning

                 "Yes it does have everything to do with it , she's the only person that can make you happy Maddox !"

    

                      Silence.

           "She's the only person that can calm your wolf down and you know that,you are always out of control with yourself ,"

                   More silence.

"She can heal you Maddox ,I know you have been hurting and you are struggling with the curse ........"

                 

                 "Please stop," I cut him off almost ready to rip off my beta's throat because I don't like the fucker's tone at all .

           "No  I won't , because I can see the way you look at her ," he answers mockingly finishing the last piece of pancake on his plate.

              I inch closer to face Luke over the kitchen island .He wasn't lying about anything at all.I was totally fucked and im acting like an asshole .My wolf growls at me in agreement with my beta .I cant lie ever since I laid my eyes on my mate .I haven't stopped thinking about her for weeks and weeks . My brain was not agreement with my wolf .My brain was always about logic and pain .

          "We need a Luna ," Luke breaks my thoughts.

                        "Wow ,"i answer nonchalantly.

                     "Atleast make things right,"he pleads.

                  "Yeah .... you and everyone thinks if I mate ,I'm going to suddenly change into someone I'm not.... what are you smoking Luke ? "

                   "Maddox the pack needs ...,"

             "The pack only needs me ! I have run this pack as an alpha ever since I was young and not once did we ever need a luna . A human for that matter," I trail off trying not to think about my mate.

           I'm not going to mate with anyone much less a human . My wolf whimpers at my thoughts and retreats further back in my mind . I don't care if his depressed !I have always lived my life by myself ruling this pack alone. I didn't want to continue this conversation with my beta anymore. He certainly didn't know what I wanted and who I was. I quickly stood up to leave .

                                "C'mon Luke,we are late for school," I change the subject.

                                        "Right behind you,"he answers.

        I enter class and sit behind as usual waiting for the class to fill up . Suddenly the room is filled up of My mate's sweet vanilla and cookies scent . 

                          "Mate"my wolf purrs as we look at her .A growl unconsciously slips out of my lips as I look at our mate . 

  Her movements are slow as she walks in . Even though she is wearing baggy jeans and a small fluffy sweater . I can still see her ample curves,which make my dick twitch .Her beautiful blue eyes are cast down as she adjusts her glasses shyly .This time she sits on the chair Infront of me which excites my wolf . I don't know how I will deal with this boner the entire period of physics . I have never felt this much lust before.

                                    "Glad I'm not the only horny one here,"My wolf mutters after being silent for what seemed like forever .

                                " No I'm not,"I roll my eyes .

                                "Yeah you are ! Our mate is perfect,"

      Before my wolf and I continue bickering.The teacher walks in and starts to introduce the new topic. I fail to focus on the teacher because my mind keeps on drifting back to my mate . Her scent is driving me wild and my wolf is almost surfacing .The chair creaks loudly as I try to adjust my trousers to hide my boner.

                            " Maddox is everything okay?"Our teacher ,Mrs Black asks as she looks at me with a little bit of concern in her voice .

                            "Nothing ,"I answer with a pained face .

                                    "Are you sure?"she asks not buying my answer.

                                "Of course Mrs Black,"I wave her off .

                "Well in that case ,This year's project on physics will be based on electromagnetism and this will be done in pairs, "She continues

                                    "Do we get to choose our own project partners" Megan asks as she raises up her hand .

                            "No I'm pairing you myself to allow you to interact more ,"Our teacher answers but the class only murmurs in response.

            

                        "Maddox you will be with Bloom ,"Miss Black announces. Everyone grows quiet . Jane raises her hand eagerly much to everyone's dismay . 

                                    "Yes Jane ," Mrs Black points at her .

                                        "Are you sure Bloom needs to be paired with Maddox ,she's still a newbie and not that smart ,"she sneers looking at Bloom .

          My wolf growls at the disrespect to our mate .I try to calm my wolf down before he takes control and does something stupid .

                                    " Well I will be the judge of that Jane alright and I will pair you with Henry,"she responds with a smile on her face .

                                    "You can't possibly pair me with ... Henry,"Jane replies mortified. Everyone snickers quietly because Henry is the one of the weirdest nerds in our class.

                                    "yes I can Jane and no more arguments about It,"

                                    "fine ,"she huffs and crosses her arms. 

                        Now I'm totally fucked .It just had to be my mate . The one person I'm trying to avoid. My wolf is excited because he gets to be close to our mate .Mrs Black goes ahead to announce the rest of the pairs and dismisses the class . I look back at Luke and he has a stupid smile on his face .
