71: in the room

I woke up the next morning feeling very tired, and then one of the King's guards came to knock on my door.

I got to my feet, looking up at the wall clock. It was barely five in the morning. I shook my head and shrugged.

I brought this upon myself when I decided to take this job to be his personal servant, but I didn't mind it at all.

I answered the door and poked my head out. "Is there anything the problem?"

"Yeah. The king has requested your presence for his daily Morning bath."

"Seriously, five in the morning?” I frowned.

“I'm sorry my lady, but he has a meeting that he needs to be at before seven So he was asking for your presence."

"Alright," I nodded and locked the door. "I'll be there in a minute." I went to my children. Now that Clyde was not here, I had to be extra attentive to them. I hated that he brought them here, knowing that I couldn't do anything without putting them first.

I didn't want to wake them up and force them to get ready for the day. I found myself promising
