After achieving her goal, Xu Yi naturally would not continue to pester Ye Shaotang like an idiot.

Even though Xu Yi was not a man, but she knew a man would be extremely sensitive about his ability in that field.

Plus, she did not want to be wronged and just wanted a comfortable place to sleep, not to argue with someone.

After taking in a deep breath, Xu Yi looked at Ye Shaotang intently for a moment before saying, “I feel that since you’ve already agreed to the first condition, then the second won’t be a problem. I think you should just agree to it, so I don’t have to waste my time explaining it to you.”

Ye Shaotang looked at Xu Yi like he was looking at an idiot. “Did you say it wrong or did I mishear you? Xu Yi, why do I feel like you’re so confident that you’ll be able to devour me? Can you be absolutely sure that I would agree instantly after you mention this condition?”

When she was fighting for her rights, she did not plan to save her face when talking about rules. She chuckled at Ye Shaotang and said, “Actually, my second condition is simple. Ye Shaotang’s face changed. He rushed over to Xu Yi and choked her. He looked at Xu Yi like she was a retard. “Did you hit your head so that’s why you’re spewing all this nonsense? Ye Shaotang flung Xu Yi away just like he was throwing away a rag and chuckled coldly, “I don’t care where did you get the confidence to talk to me like that, but at the end of the day, Xu Yi, you should behave like before and stay home as the obedient Madam Ye and attend some necessary occasions with me. Ye Shaotang’s eyes suddenly lost their glimmer, his gaze became solemn as he continued, “An Xin’s funeral.”

Xu Yi’s eyes wandered. The memories of the two of them when they were young replayed in Xu Yi’s brain and her mind went blank.

She still had some conditions she wanted to haggle with Ye Shaotang, but in the end, she did not say anything. She went to clean herself up quietly.

Ye Shaotang was so important to Xu Yi.

The previous Xu Yi would differ from her usual gentle self and roar at An Xin like a lioness when she started talking bad about Ye Shaotang.

In Xu Yi’s eyes, Ye Shaotang was the best husband in the world. He was the man that she would love and give her all to. She would not allow other people to talk bad about him.

Perhaps…this was God’s arrangement. So now, her best friend is looking out for the man she loved the most.

Xu Yi would never scream at Ye Shaotang. She was always so amiable. She wished to use her gentleness to change the stubborn Ye Shaotang.

Xu Yi’s tears streamed down her face. She could feel her heart hurting. “That garbage of a man, Ye Shaotang. What did he do to deserve being treated like this by Xu Yi?”

Ye Shaotang came out of the bathroom after cleaning up and saw Xu Yi had cried herself to sleep.

At this moment, Xu Yi was not arrogant and fierce anymore. She was not pretentious like the previous Xu Yi too. She was sobbing without a care in the world.

But no matter what reason, the woman in front of him was indeed the previous one that he knew. That face had not changed, but Ye Shaotang felt this current Xu Yi was genuine even when she cried. She looked so fragile and pitiful…

Ye Shaotang retracted his hand quickly that was about to touch Xu Yi’s face. He ran his fingers through his hair in frustration and turned around where he stood. He mumbled to himself, “No way, Ye Shaotang. Do you feel pity for this woman? I think when An Xin passed away, she took away half of your sanity. Do you think you could compensate by projecting everything onto her best friend after she passed? I’m telling you now, you can’t!”

Ye Shaotang was in self-denial. He could not get himself out of the cycle. He was like a caged animal turning around in the cage, unable to find an escape.

The faces of Xu Yi and An Xin kept on changing in front of his eyes. He felt like he was about to go crazy.

Right. Work. As long as he worked frantically, he could forget about the bloody An Xin who was in his arms.

Xu Yi did not know how complicated Ye Shaotang felt. She did not know that the person Ye Shaotang liked was An Xin. She also did not know that she was the one who caused Xu Yi to be cold-shouldered by Ye Shaotang after their marriage.

When Xu Yi woke up the next day, she did not see Ye Shaotang beside her. She could tell that no one slept in his spot last night.

However, Xu Yi did not expect Ye Shaotang waiting for her at home when she came back at night.

When he saw Xu Yi returning, his face turned dark. “What time is it? You’re only back at this hour. Do you still remember that you’re someone’s wife?”

Xu Yi lifted her arm to look at the time and exclaimed, “Oh, it’s only 8. My god, I came back so early. Eh, Young Master Ye? Oh no, Young Master Ye looks unhappy. What should I do? Did I provoke Young Master Ye by coming home? Sigh, Young Master Ye, if that’s the case, you should tell me. Don’t keep it in your heart. You’ll suffocate. When he saw Xu Yi putting on her shoes ready to go out again, Ye Shaotang was fuming with anger.

Xu Yi flung Ye Shaotang’s hand away. “Why? Young Master Ye’s unhappy if I’m back, Young Master Ye’s also unhappy if I go out. Then teach me, Young Master Ye, what should I do to make you happy and not get angry like an insane person?
