**Keira's POV***The Alpha and my mom both stared at me like I was some alien who descended from the sky. I wish I understood the reason as to why they were staring at me that way. I was confused at that moment. “So, she's Keira?”The alpha asked, still staring at me. What the hell is going on? “Yes. She's the one. I never would have thought that she would be having a wolf again,” she said and burst into sobs. All of this didn't work on me. I could still remember what she said and did to me. How could she act all loving right now after what she did? She never ceases to amaze with all of her pretenses. “Alpha, you don't need to keep us here. You can send us on our way now, and I promise we'll never come this way ever again.”The Alpha, for one reason, stared at me in a daze, and I don't know why. “Keira, I still can't believe you're sitting in front of me. I've sent my best men to go searching for you. They aren't even back yet. I kept hope alive that you're not dead. Just as I f
**Keira's POV***The Alpha opened the door to the room, but didn't go in.“When was the last time this place was cleaned up?”He asked the beta. “Three days ago, Alpha.”I creased my brow. I was completely lost. Just what is this place that the Alpha tends to pay so much attention to? Just then, he took his gaze towards me with a smile. “Please come in, Keira,” he said, stepping out of the way for me.I looked at him for a few minutes before I made up my mind and took the lead. As soon as I got into the room, I instantly went wide in surprise. I have to be honest that I was expecting a secret room of treasure or something. But to my greatest shock, what I saw was a room filled with a toddler's stuff. The room was decorated in pink. It looked almost like the room of a loyal princess, or should I say a Disney princess. I got captivated by the room that I didn't realize that I had begun to rummage through things in the room. I went wide at whatever I saw, fascinating to my eyes. I o
***Keira's POV***“You must not know this, but the Alpha had spent his entire years searching for his long-lost family. He managed to find your mom just about a month ago, and nod you showed up right in front of his pack. The goddess indeed works in mysterious ways. Even though I didn't seem to show interest in what Dark was saying at the moment, I was literally listening to him but pretending not to care about what he was saying. “Now that you are here, I wonder what it would be. Will you be Alpha? If that's the case, doesn't this mean I'll be your beta?”My goodness! Just how old is this Dark? If I didn't know better, judging from the way he looked, I would have mistaken him for someone who's as old as Drake himself. But when he speaks, childishness is all over the place. “Why aren't you responding to the things I say! Is it because of our encounter in the woods earlier? You know that-”Just as he was trying to explain, I suddenly heard the voice of Abigail from the room ahead of
**Keira's POV***I came out of the room with him because I didn't want the others to know exactly what we were about to talk about. “What is it?”“Now that you've seen them, why don't you decide. The alpha would like to know what your decision is, so we could finally plan about where to keep them.”I raised a brow at my father's beta, who seemed to be all reasonable and mature now. “You talk like you are so sure that they are going to stay. How about I tell you that we would be leaving soon?”“Well, I don't really know about you, but the others don't seem like they want to leave seven if you'd like to.”“I'll decide whether they'll stay or not. Their safety is in my hands, and I wouldn't want them to suffer any injustices.”“Why does it seem like you're referring to me? I mean, I don't remember having any problems with you, but it seems like you see me as your worst enemy.”“Well, you can't blame me if I think that way of you. Don't tell me you've forgotten about it. It happened hou
***Keira's POV***“Yes, why do you wish to see me?”“The Alpha would like to have a word with you over dinner.”“Oh, tell him, I'll be right there.”“I can't go to the Alpha without you. Since he wishes to see you, why don't we both go together?”“I creased my brow while staring at him. Was he for real?”“Wait a minute, you want me to go with you? And why should I do that?”“Because he wants to see you. You might not know this, but in our pack, which is now your pack, the rules are set differently.”“Oh, forgive me. You know, I've never actually lived in a pack for long before I got banished, so I'm totally unaware of the rules and regulations binding a pack. All the same, I don't think I want to go to him with you.”"But why not? Do you have another problem with me, now, Miss Keira?'”Dark asked, with a frustrated sigh. “I don't have a problem with you, to be honest. But I don't think we are that close for us to start walking together.”“I have a question I would like to ask you. Mi
***Keira's POV**Being bored was an understatement, compared to how I feel right now. In fact, I don't even know what to say to Ramona. It's not like I can blame them for the fact that they cannot accept me. If my mom was a nice woman, I'm sure they wouldn't spend any effort to accept me. But then, having a mom that's worse than all the evil Witches I know, this is bound to be my fate. While the argument was going on. I slowly picked up the tea cup and drank the tea inside. “Why aren't you both saying anything? This is about you two. Who knows if all of this was your plan to destroy our once beautiful family!” Ramona lashed out at me and her. I wish she was the only one being lashed out because I didn't do anything wrong to suffer for the crimes of my mom. If only she had stayed, maybe there would have been a better solution to all of these problems. I dropped the tea cup gently and took my gaze up at Ramona.“You know, I wasn't going to say anything until you talked directly t
***Emilia's POV***The moment I got into my room, I quickly walked over to the dressing mirror and sat down. I looked at myself in the mirror and gritted my teeth. I blinked back the tears that stood in my eyes, but it weren't going to budge. After trying to hold myself for some seconds, I had no choice and so burst into tears. This was so not what I had expected, but I just couldn't hold myself anymore. It was so painful, seeing my daughter look at me with scorn. I couldn't even defend myself in front of Ramona because I had no right to reprimand anyone when I did worse things to my daughter. To make things worse, I could tell that Keira was ashamed. Though she's been in the pack for a week now, she had never once come to see me. And why would she? This all started with me. If I hadn't made things come this far, nothing like this would have happened. I was the one who abandoned her first. No matter the reason, I did what I did. It was never enough to treat my daughter that way.
***Alpha Drake's POV***Amanda stood in front of me with a file in hand. I didn't bother looking at her expression at that moment. She was fuming with annoyance, and that was just all I needed to make me feel better. “What is the meaning of this, Alpha?''“I'm not your Alpha. Call me boss.”“What? I can't believe this. We are married, for goodness’ sake.”“Oh, that reminds me,” I quickly brought out the other document and presented it to her. She slowly took the document from me and read through it. Her hands trembled badly at that moment. “How could you do this to me, Drake? A divorce papers and a contract termination letter all at once. Do you hate me so much that you never hesitate to see me suffer this way?”“I don't think that's the right language to use. If there's anyone who has a heart of hate, it should be you. Do you hate my mate that much that you made her become extinct? You think I'll keep being married to you after what you did to my mate, huh?”“That was an accident
