**Keira's POV***I came out of the room with him because I didn't want the others to know exactly what we were about to talk about. “What is it?”“Now that you've seen them, why don't you decide. The alpha would like to know what your decision is, so we could finally plan about where to keep them.”I raised a brow at my father's beta, who seemed to be all reasonable and mature now. “You talk like you are so sure that they are going to stay. How about I tell you that we would be leaving soon?”“Well, I don't really know about you, but the others don't seem like they want to leave seven if you'd like to.”“I'll decide whether they'll stay or not. Their safety is in my hands, and I wouldn't want them to suffer any injustices.”“Why does it seem like you're referring to me? I mean, I don't remember having any problems with you, but it seems like you see me as your worst enemy.”“Well, you can't blame me if I think that way of you. Don't tell me you've forgotten about it. It happened hou
***Keira's POV***“Yes, why do you wish to see me?”“The Alpha would like to have a word with you over dinner.”“Oh, tell him, I'll be right there.”“I can't go to the Alpha without you. Since he wishes to see you, why don't we both go together?”“I creased my brow while staring at him. Was he for real?”“Wait a minute, you want me to go with you? And why should I do that?”“Because he wants to see you. You might not know this, but in our pack, which is now your pack, the rules are set differently.”“Oh, forgive me. You know, I've never actually lived in a pack for long before I got banished, so I'm totally unaware of the rules and regulations binding a pack. All the same, I don't think I want to go to him with you.”"But why not? Do you have another problem with me, now, Miss Keira?'”Dark asked, with a frustrated sigh. “I don't have a problem with you, to be honest. But I don't think we are that close for us to start walking together.”“I have a question I would like to ask you. Mi
***Keira's POV**Being bored was an understatement, compared to how I feel right now. In fact, I don't even know what to say to Ramona. It's not like I can blame them for the fact that they cannot accept me. If my mom was a nice woman, I'm sure they wouldn't spend any effort to accept me. But then, having a mom that's worse than all the evil Witches I know, this is bound to be my fate. While the argument was going on. I slowly picked up the tea cup and drank the tea inside. “Why aren't you both saying anything? This is about you two. Who knows if all of this was your plan to destroy our once beautiful family!” Ramona lashed out at me and her. I wish she was the only one being lashed out because I didn't do anything wrong to suffer for the crimes of my mom. If only she had stayed, maybe there would have been a better solution to all of these problems. I dropped the tea cup gently and took my gaze up at Ramona.“You know, I wasn't going to say anything until you talked directly t
***Emilia's POV***The moment I got into my room, I quickly walked over to the dressing mirror and sat down. I looked at myself in the mirror and gritted my teeth. I blinked back the tears that stood in my eyes, but it weren't going to budge. After trying to hold myself for some seconds, I had no choice and so burst into tears. This was so not what I had expected, but I just couldn't hold myself anymore. It was so painful, seeing my daughter look at me with scorn. I couldn't even defend myself in front of Ramona because I had no right to reprimand anyone when I did worse things to my daughter. To make things worse, I could tell that Keira was ashamed. Though she's been in the pack for a week now, she had never once come to see me. And why would she? This all started with me. If I hadn't made things come this far, nothing like this would have happened. I was the one who abandoned her first. No matter the reason, I did what I did. It was never enough to treat my daughter that way.
***Alpha Drake's POV***Amanda stood in front of me with a file in hand. I didn't bother looking at her expression at that moment. She was fuming with annoyance, and that was just all I needed to make me feel better. “What is the meaning of this, Alpha?''“I'm not your Alpha. Call me boss.”“What? I can't believe this. We are married, for goodness’ sake.”“Oh, that reminds me,” I quickly brought out the other document and presented it to her. She slowly took the document from me and read through it. Her hands trembled badly at that moment. “How could you do this to me, Drake? A divorce papers and a contract termination letter all at once. Do you hate me so much that you never hesitate to see me suffer this way?”“I don't think that's the right language to use. If there's anyone who has a heart of hate, it should be you. Do you hate my mate that much that you made her become extinct? You think I'll keep being married to you after what you did to my mate, huh?”“That was an accident
**Drake's POV***The hall Instantly went berserk at Alpha Reynolds' answer. “I'm sure most of you are not aware of the hidden prophecy, which most seers and witches in your packs failed to tell you. Besides, I'm not the first Alpha who accommodates the Wolf less.”“We don't seem to understand where you are hinting at, Reynold. What is this prophecy you're talking about?” Reginald asked. I was also curious to find out what this hidden prophecy was all about.”“Well, since you don't know what this is, it's only right that I tell you about it. This prophecy has been passed down to all witches and Seers, but it's such a shame that the lot chose to bury this side of the prophecy, which states that the Wolfless have been redeemed from the curse from a thousand years ago. This Prophecy never took effect, and most packs never stopped banishing the ones they have. Now, there's another which States that failure to do so will bring perpetual setbacks and ill fate to any pack who continues to t
***Keira's POV***Ever since that day, I started having breakfasts and dinner with the family. Lunch was solely our choice, and we ate whatever we wanted. Though my siblings still did not show me any form of likeness, at least they didn't insult me anymore. “Oh, lest I forget, after the Alpha's meeting, I was opportune to meet the Alpha Drake and his brothers.”I paused the moment I heard the name of the pack. Did I hear wrongly?”“Dad, you mean the famous Alpha who is known to be a celebrity?”“Yes, I'm talking about Alpha Drake.”That Instant, I suddenly developed a cough that I ended up distracting everyone at the dinner table. Shit!“Keira, are you okay?”“I think you need some water.”“Y…yea,” I muttered as I quickly picked up the glass of water in front of me. I looked up, only to notice how. Ramona stared at me with an irritated expression. I wasn't surprised that she looked at me that way. I should have known what to expect when I coughed out suddenly. “Dad, as we were sayi
***Keira's POV****After narrating the story of my life to Abigail, she stared at me and at a loss for words. “Aunt Abigail, what's the matter? You make me feel like I should never have told you about this, you know.”“I'm sorry for my reaction, really. Please forgive me if I may have made you feel uncomfortable with the way I acted. Bit Keira, this is a lot. Are you sure that you're okay?”I nodded my head. “Yea, it's past anyway.”She shook her head and that made me heave a long, deep sigh. “It's not, Keira. You're still very much hurt. I'd be hurt as well if I were to be in your shoes. What you went through isn't what you should have gone through. You ought to be enjoying your life and your youth, not suffering this way.”The tears I was trying so hard came pouring out of my eyes, but I dabbed them away.“Even though I'm not okay with the way things ended, at this point I don't have a choice but to be okay for my peace of mind, don't you think?”“Of course, my dear. You owe no o
