After narrating the story of my life to Abigail, she stared at me and at a loss for words.

“Aunt Abigail, what's the matter? You make me feel like I should never have told you about this, you know.”

“I'm sorry for my reaction, really. Please forgive me if I may have made you feel uncomfortable with the way I acted. Bit Keira, this is a lot. Are you sure that you're okay?”

She shook her head and that made me heave a long, deep sigh.

“It's not, Keira. You're still very much hurt. I'd be hurt as well if I were to be in your shoes. What you went through isn't what you should have gone through. You ought to be enjoying your life and your youth, not suffering this way.”

The tears I was trying so hard came pouring out of my eyes, but I dabbed them away.
