I had a super long day. After the meeting with my dad, I got a notification from the Eastern packs reporting some rogue attacks. I quickly had my assistant make copies and sent them to Nate to see what we could do about it.
The book my dad gave me was there on top of my desk. I was about to read it when Paige entered my office. “Hey babe…” She said, pecking my lips. Just that little affection made my insides churn. I took a deep breath, and she sat on a chair across from me. “Babe, I have been going around with your mom, she is great…” She said, and I nodded.
