Chapter 10 - The Royal Pack

Stella POV

I was waiting for my discharge papers at the Royal Pack Hospital when I got a phone call on my cell phone. “Hey Mom, How are you?” I asked, and she sounded concerned.

“What the hell is going on? I just heard that you decided to stay at the Royal Pack and agreed to become part of a Special Ops team. Are you insane? You are wolf-less!” She yelled at me. I could understand her concern for my well-being, but her words were harsh, and the way she said them was unnecessarily aggressive. They hurt. After all, she is my mother. The one person who should have accepted me unconditionally.

“Look, Mom, I know what I am, and am aware of what I am capable of. I would take the opportunity if Nathan asks me to join his team. I hate to feel weak and helpless, just doing meaningless house chores, like an Omega, just because I can't shift into my wolf. I know I am capable of more, Mom!” I said
