“I’d like to know who halted my investigation, Chief?”

The homicide chief looked up through his spectacles, not interested to respond to the question.

“I think, I should let you know that I’ve got uninvited guests  in my home. Look at this.” Ian produced the photo he took on one part of his wall in his bedroom. “ I have let the forensic check my place.”

The chief  leaned back slightly to inspect the photo and the  report of forensic findings which Ian brought along.

“Someone wanted to scare me.”

Every policeman makes enemies along the way. Are you assuming that this has something to do with the case you are on now? There might be another potential reason beside that case or it might just be another juvenile prank.”
