Elliot smiled, “We can go shopping for nursery furniture and I’ll call mom to get murals painted on one wall of each nursery.” I smiled, “I would love that!” We need to let Calista know she’s right and I would love her input on what we are going to put in the nurseries.” Dr. Harper smiled, “I will leave both of you to do what you need to do. I would like to see you every two weeks for the time being, Elisa.” I nodded, “Okay, Dr. Harper. I’ll see you in two weeks.”
As soon as Doctor Harper left, Calista ran to us, “I was right, wasn’t I?” I laughed, “You were right, sweetie. Now you need to help me decorate the nurseries. We still have a couple months, at least, so we have plenty of time.” Calista smiled, “I would love to!” I heard Elliot call his mom, telling her we have two girls and one boy, then he asked her about doing murals for three nurseries. I could hear her tell him she would love to. When Elliot ended the call, he smiled, “Mom is so excited and wants to come out t

After a particularly steamy shower and getting dressed, I started to walk downstairs and stopped at Calista’s door. I heard Linden talking with Calista. She was sobbing as she asked, “Do you have to go?” Linden replied, “I miss my dad, little one. I know you know how that feels.” Calista sobbed, “I do. You’re lucky you can go back to him. I’m lucky I have a mom and dad now who love me just as much they did.” I put my hand over my mouth as tears formed in my eyes as Linden continued, “I can come back to visit any time. All you have to do is use the family mind link. Just tell me.” She smiled, “Okay. I can do that.” I chose this moment to peek my head in, “Are you okay, sweetie?” She smiled with a tear still lingering in her eye, “I’m okay. I know he needs to go home, but I wish this was his home.” I sat on her bed and put her on my lap, “I know, sweetie. He will come back occasionally. We might even get to video call with him, and you know he’ll be here for your birthday part
Linden was out of breath when he teleported to our dining room, “Calista, come here.” Calista’s eyes went wide and she ran to her Uncle Linden, “What’s the matter? Are you okay?” Linden wrapped his arms around her and he sobbed. Calista’s arms wrapped around his neck and she was patting his back as she tried to comfort him, “I’m sorry. Are you okay, Uncle Linden?” When Linden finally settled down to the point where he could speak coherently, he let go of Calista and sat at the table with the rest of us. Calista stood in her chair and held her hands up, “Everybody, STOP! Uncle Linden! Answer my Question!” We all raised our eyebrows at her and Elliot chuckled, “Uncle Linden, please answer her question. She is genuinely worried about you.” Linden put Calista on his lap and snuggled her as he replied, “I’m okay now. If it hadn’t been for this little girl’s warning, I wouldn’t be.” We all furrowed our brows at him as I asked, “What do you mean?” Linden sighed, “I teleported there, and my d
Selena sat next to me on a log as we looked over a golden pond and continued, “Linden’s stepmother is not going to stop until he is dead. She refuses to allow a child that is not hers in her family. She will not rest until she has her way.” I asked, “Will she try to kill him here at my home?” Selene replied, “Only if his father brings her to see him. She does not know where he lives now.” I sighed, “Good. I will make sure he knows this. I also know that we will have to let his dad know that she is not welcome at our home.” I sighed, “I guess this just means life still hasn’t settled down. I’m not so sure it will. Oh wait! How is this thing with Linden’s mom going to affect my babies?” She smiled, “Your babies will be fine. They have too many protectors to allow anything to happen to them. So, now that I have told you all that I need to tell you, I will let you sleep, my child. Just rest for tonight. Life will resume when you wake.” I woke the next morning in our bed, with Elliot’s arm
We all looked at the woman and, on instinct, I yelled, “Selene! A little help here?” Selene appears in front of the woman and yells in a commanding voice, “Anna Mae Cole! STAND DOWN! Your mate’s son is destined for great things. You will not interfere!” Linden’s mom stopped and dropped to her knees, “Moon Goddess! But he is not my child! I cannot have him in my family!” Selene argues, “Then leave! I will make sure your mate gets another mate. You, however, do not deserve another one!” Linden’s mother lowered her head, “I will allow him to live and I will leave him alone. Please, allow me to keep my mate.” Selene snarls, “I have seen into your heart. You will never allow any of them to live peacefully, and I will not have that! You do not deserve to live.” With that, Selene drags her outside and rips her head off. Then she turns to Linden, “I’m so sorry it came to this, Linden. She followed your father here the first night you were back. We were all too late in agreeing not to let her
I laughed, “We rescued her from Alpha Johnathon. He killed her parents and her brother to get to her. Has he been tried by the council yet?” Beta Seth nodded, “He was only in the dungeon for two days. The council found him guilty and he was beheaded for what he did to that sweet little girl and her family.” I smiled and nodded as another group of kids appeared with Max and Blaise. I noticed Blaise was starting to look a little deflated and I asked, “Hey, Blaise, are you okay?” He replied, “Yeah, I’m okay. My heart is just a little broken right now. You aren’t seeing everything we are. It’s not a pleasant sight.” I asked, “Do you need a break? I can take over for you.” He shook his head, “We’re taking turns with teleporting and using magic. Don’t worry. You have the dream team on this. You just take care of the kids we bring in.” I nodded, “You make sure to take care of yourself too.” Blaise and Max teleported back and we took this group of kids to the medical room. Doctor Harper star
Beta Seth furrowed his brow, “What do you mean?” I smiled as I held up my index finger in a motion to tell him to watch, then I turned to my daughter, “Calista, can I ask your help with something?” She skipped over to me and wrapped her arms around my neck. I kissed her cheek and hugged her tightly, “Sweetie, some of these kids are having a hard time talking about what happened and what pack they are from. Do you think you could get them to speak with us or maybe tell you what pack they’re from?” Calista smiled, “I would love to help. It makes me feel good to do these things for you.” Beta Seth smiled, “Thank you, little one. You are so strong for having such a little body.” Calista approached the first child, “Hi. My name is Calista. What’s yours?” The little brown-haired, blue-eyed boy answered, “I’m Cody.” Calista empathized, “I know what you’re going through. Princess Elisa isn’t my real mom. My old Alpha killed my parents and my brother and kidnapped me. He kept me in a room unde
I replied, “I believe we have. Can you bring Prince Aidinth and Princess Chloe with you when you come out?” He chuckled, “Princess Elisa, you really do have quite the talent.” I shrugged, “We aren’t done yet, and I’m afraid I may not have saved them all. I will fill you all in on what happened to them when you get here.” King Uther agreed and ended the call. I put my phone down and looked at the wall again. I walked into the first medical room and found that the little boy who couldn’t walk had been paralyzed. Apparently, he was one of the children who had been thrown. I conjured a wheelchair for him and wheeled him into the living room to sit with the rest of the children. He smiled at me, “Thank you so much, Princess. You are so nice!” I chuckled as I turned to walk away, “It was the least I could do for such a sweet boy!” I heard Calista and Beta Seth talking with him as I walked back into the conference room. I smiled knowing this boy would be okay as long as he has a loving home.
Elliot sighed, “I know, my tiny mate. It’s sickening to me too.” I lean into him and break down for the first time since we started this rescue. I look at the clock and realize we have been at this for almost 24 hours. I gasped, “You would’ve been so proud of our daughter. I think it was after the second group of kids was teleported here, Calista had been in bed, and she heard a couple of the boys crying. She ran downstairs and asked me why I didn’t wake her, then she started singing and calming them.” Elliot smiled, “That’s my girl.” I told him, “Some of the kids were too traumatized to speak, so she was able to get them to speak to Beta Seth about what happened to them. She even held some of their hands while they talked to him.” He smiled, “I’m so proud of her.” I informed him, “I told her to eat some lunch and go take a nap.” I was about to eat some lunch when my mom walked into the conference room, “Hon, why don’t you get some lunch and a nap? We can take care of the rest of the
