The three dropped like dry leaves in autumn in the middle of the forest. Agatha stood while Nate and Seb caught their breath. Sebastian emptied his stomach, and Nathaniel crunched his face as if repulsed by it.

Sebastian wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, “I’m sorry. I know it’s gross. I don’t know if I will ever get used to this,” giving Agatha an awkward grin. Agatha tapped his shoulder affectionately. “It’s ok.”

Sebastian straightened his back and snaked his arm around her waist before glaring at Nathaniel.

“Now, now, Alpha. You seemed fine and thriving.”

He glanced in Agatha’s direction, and she nodd

Inside the darkroom of the Phoenicia Covenant headquarters, Baltazar was shouting expletives. All the cloaked members of the covenant were helpless, their heads hanging low. They couldn’t use any magic to break it or even teleport out of the ritual room.Today is the day Baltazar got the first taste of Agatha’s power. He underestimated her in the past and thought of her as a weakling.Without the guidance of an elder, it is nearly impossible to muster deep magic, but Agatha proved him wrong.“Eon, can you see where those rats went?” He blurted.“They are constantly moving, Baltazar, and I AM A

  • The Witch Luna   Prologue

Most fairy tales known to man feature witches. They always paint my kind in a darker shade, the villain of the story, the root of all misfortunes, the cause of earth’s damnation. They forgot one thing, black is not the only color in existence. There’s good and bad in every species. It’s what keeps the wheel of life hanging in the balance. My tale started when I came of age. Like typical fairy tale stories when the heroines came of age, I was supposed to use my feminine charm to seduce strong men to earn their protection so that I could live happily ever after. Except that my life is anything but a fairy tale. If there’s any consolation, at least I’m the hero in my story and not the evil witch depicted in most books.*****My full power was unlocked on my sixteenth birthday, or so I was told. Mom took me to the makeshift library in the coven which happened to be where she sleeps. She guided me to one of the single-seater couches and sat on the opposite side facing me. In her hand

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 1 - Agatha's Vision

Three years later.“What will you do if your Moon Goddess fucked up with your mate pairing?” I asked.“Language, Agatha!” Nico lifted his gaze from the book he was reading, looking petulant. “Is this conversation taking us anywhere worthy of a conversation?”I brought the teacup to my lips for a sip, took a deep breath, and looked him straight in the eye. Most days pass like this, I ask a question, and this disgruntled ex-commander answers impatiently. I don’t even understand why he needs to read that same book over and over again. If it was me, I would have memorized it by now and just play it in my head like a broken record. Plus, he doesn’t even sound like an ex-commander, he talks like a college professor. Not that I’m complaining, he’s a badass and he protects me like how a big brother would. “I had a vision last night!” I lazily whispered, fidgeting with my fingers. He gently closed the book in his hand, dropped it on his lap, and squared his shoulder. He relaxed his back on t

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 2 - Into the Cave

The cave reeked of a peculiar smell. A stench of dampness, a suffocating sulfuric emission, ammonia-ish stench, and something rotten, enough to make me nauseated. Perhaps rats and bats are the culprits to some extent, and the rest would be the chemical reactions from mineral deposits. I decided to search for a dryer land with better natural light. I walked for what seemed like hours, climbing, crawling, tiptoeing, and sliding into different sections of the cave. Exhaustion started kicking in when I found an opening. I walked a little further and found a plantation of aconite plants at the end of the cave, wolfsbane. The area of the aconite plantation is like a sandwiched shelter between rock formations with merely a six-foot gap. One side was barricaded by a pile of teak trees. The tree line resembles a fence aimed to conceal the cave opening. With the overgrown bushes and vines, the cave’s mouth is completely hidden. If you cross the teak trees, it will lead you to the deep forest w

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 3 - I'm Home

[Sebastian’s POV]I pushed open the double-panel wooden door at the entrance of the pack house.“I’m back!” I shouted.“Good, good! ‘Bout time you came!” My dad took long strides from his office door to meet me halfway. “Now, you can travel to find your fated mate. Start with the neighboring packs first!” he added.“Dad, I just arrived!” annoyed, I stepped back to look at him sideways. “Can’t you at least give me a few months to adjust? I was away for four years! Geez!” I complained, but not disrespectfully.“WATCH YOUR TONE, SEB!” he playfully scolded with a smirk across his wrinkled face. Dad slaps my shoulder with his calloused hand and drags me to his study. “This is not a negotiation, son! You wasted enough time goofing around with the humans. It’s high time to take on the responsibility. Your mom and I are getting old, you have to take over the pack and give us an heir!”I raised my hands in the air in desperation, feeling defeated. “Alright, alright!” I turned to my right to

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 4 - Mate

It takes twelve hours to drive from the human-populated city back to our pack. This is the only land travel I loathe the most. The route was not bad but we had to take a parallel road to the perimeter line of the River Bed Pack. Though Silver Mountain and River Bed are not considered enemy packs, we are not allies either. We share a two-hundred-mile boundary line with them, requiring nearly a third of our warriors to take several shifts on border patrol to avoid rogue or non-pack incursion. I guess they do the same from their side of the perimeter line. Most of our border patrols engage in glowering and growling contests with theirs at any given time, or so I’ve heard from my father’s Delta and Gamma. I was wasted last night and swiftly drifted into a deep sleep the moment Arci stepped foot on the accelerator. I don’t know how long I slept but I was startled awake when Six started getting restless. “How far have we reached, Arci?” I ask while rubbing my eyes trying to adjust to t

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 5 - Disowned

Before I could react, the leader of the border patrol jumped over the six-foot-high barbed boundary line. The scrambling of the other pack warriors follows him but I can barely understand what they are saying. Arci stood in front of me with his right hand twisted backward, pinning me between the car and him. His knees were slightly bent, ready to shift in a fly to fight if need be. The leader stopped barely three steps away from Arci but his predatory eyes never left mine. The rest of the group caught up and Arci spread his arms for the barricade, ordering me to get inside the car and drive as fast as I could. He was ready to sacrifice himself for me. There was no way any of us would survive this fight. But what kind of Alpha would I be if I ran away with tails between my legs at the first sign of trouble, leaving my driver behind? I stood tall, not breaking my gaze on their leader who just cleared his throat. “I want to speak with him,” the leader tilted his head slightly to the le

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 6 - Anniversary

It’s been three years since Dad disowned me. I still remember that day. I got so furious that I relentlessly cursed the Moon Goddess for pairing me with another Alpha as a mate. I have no physical attraction to Nate, but the mate bond messes up my head, and I feel protective of him. I have this whimsical desire for his company. When my connection with the Silver Mountain pack snapped, it all became clear to me, I lost everything and everyone dear to me. My chest tightened, fighting the urge to thrash everything I lay my eyes on. I was enraged but couldn’t blame anyone.I have a limited time.I stepped out of the packhouse and ran through the thick forest allowing Six to take over. I ran for what felt like an eternity until the breeze suddenly changed.

[Sebastian POV]“What was that all about, Agatha? Who was Glinda?” I asked her. I never saw her talk roughly and coldly until now. And that, too, to my parents.I paced inside the bedroom as she stood by the window, emotionless. Her cold expression looked troubling. I had never seen Agatha this way before. She was always warm and respectful toward others. Did my parents offend her? I had many questions that required answers from her, but I couldn’t force her to tell me things she wasn’t prepared to share. Just as I was convinced she wouldn’t answer, her next words surprised me.“She was my mother. I never mentioned her name to anyone, the coven called her the High Priestess, never by name, not even once.”

After a few attempts, and with the help of her hands to cover the sunlight streaming through the thin fabric of a semi-transparent white voile curtain, his vision adjusted to her surroundings.“Good morning,” Sebastian’s glowing smile greeted her as he lay next to her on the soft surface. She scanned the room with an impressed look. She glanced back at him with an innocent smile before responding, “Good Morning.”“Did you sleep well?”“Uh hmm,” she nodded.“You can freshen up. I asked o

[Third POV]Nathaniel was pacing in his bedroom, ignoring the blood from his wounded feet. Broken glasses, wine bottles, and side lamps were scattered on the floor. The room was a mess, contrary to its usual tidy and clean appearance. He didn’t get a minute of sleep after the realization hit him of what was happening the previous night. Being connected through the mate bond, he felt the intimacy between his two mates and it angered him even further. He can sense their arousal through the bond and spends hours in the shower to cool off his erection. For hours, Bastien and Agatha’s intimacy was thick over the mate bond, and Nate hated every minute of it.Though their mating cannot be considered cheating, he still felt betraye

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 48 - Time is Ticking

[Sebastian POV]It’s hard to control Six. He is a strong Alpha wolf and very possessive about his mate. I fought so hard to restrain him from marking Agatha the night we mated. His canines were out and nearly touched that soft flesh in Agatha’s neck. I was relieved when I noticed that her eyes were shut at the time. I loved how responsive she was with my touch. With every hard thrust, I met with her writhing beneath me. She was so tight, so sensitive, and so delicate. Perhaps it was the same reason Six struggled to control himself.I understand Six. I want to do the same and seal our bond, but I can’t mark her without asking permission first. Although she agreed to mate with me, bearing my mark on her neck is an entirely different story.

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 47 - Six Wants to Mark You

Warning: This chapter contains some intimate details.[Agatha POV]I am completely unclothed. I can see how Bastien’s eyes darken with desire. His touch sends a shiver down my spine. Every kiss and every skin contact is electrifying.I wanted to cover myself; no one had seen me naked before, but he somehow convinced me to keep myself as naked as the day I was born. He said that only then would I learn to embrace myself as I am, with no inhibitions, free. Now, I feel like hiding my face. I can’t bear the thought of seeing him again when there is not a single inch of my body he hadn’t seen, touched, or tasted.

  • The Witch Luna   Chapter 46 - Getting Intimate

Warning: This chapter contains some intimate details. [Sebastian POV]My heart hammers against my ribcage. The moment I saw a tear falling from her eye, I felt like protecting her from all forms of pain and danger. It breaks my heart to see her in pain. She doesn’t deserve all the suffering she endured over time. She is so young, so innocent, so pure. Life has never been fair to her. I want to chastise the moon goddess for allowing her to suffer this much. I could have taken her two years ago to give her the comfort and love she deserves and longs for. But I didn’t know she was my mate then. If I could only turn back the hands of time. If only I could…I cradle her in my arms as she cries her heart out. If only I could, I want her to stay this way forever, free from harm and misery. But I know it’s not possible. She is bound to achieve great things, and I will not stop her from doing so. She has a purpose bigger than our mate bond, and I will be there to support her with whatever I ca
