Confusion is an understatement of how I felt. I was married? To Jenna? And she was pregnant. How in the fuck did that happen? Okay, I know how babies are made; I am not an idiot. But how have I been absent for two years of my life?

The harder I try to remember what happened, the more my head hurts. Against the doctor's advice, my father and Jenna came to take me home, where I would be more comfortable, according to them. And who would dare argue with Lord Barrington? He owns the damn hospital and probably the staff as well.

“Babe, you really shouldn’t try so hard to remember. The doctor said your amnesia is most likely temporarily.” Jenna cooed over me in Dad’s limo.
