Aiden

In the midst of Liam and Ann's passionate discussion, I found myself sitting on the sofa and going through my phone.

I went to Liam's house to hang out, but to my astonishment, he had finally asked Ann out.

He kept worrying about their ideal first date and judging them by their expressions. It was a success.

Goddess, the hours I endured listening to Liam ramble on and on about cafes, flowers, picnics, and other things.

Currently, the couple is chatting on the couch across from me. I glanced through my phone, uninterested in what the pair were doing.

What caught my undivided attention was when Jo’s name flashed on Ann's screen.

Ann excused herself and went out of sight to pick up the call.

Usually, I would eavesdrop, but unfortunately, eavesdropping on Ann's phone call would result in a lecture from Liam.

“So, how was your date, loverboy?” I teased.

Liam rolled his eyes as he relaxed on the couch, “Perfect,”

I nodded my head, “I guess congratulations are in order,”

  • The White Wolf’s Sacrifice   Chapter 1: A Typical Morning.

The loud alarm clock on the nightstand near the bed wakes me up every morning. I drag myself out of bed and into the bathroom like I do every day. I rinse my face with water after brushing my teeth to remove any traces of drowsiness.I look at my reflection while examining myself in the bathroom's enormous mirror. Some of the tiny hairs in my bun of brunette hair adhered to my damp forehead as water ran down my face. In the bathroom’s light, I could see my brown eyes. I inherited them from my mother, Rosetta Vanderbilt, the former Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack and the current Luna of the Silver Crescent Moon Pack. I looked exactly like her. I am proud of the athletic body shape I have kept up till now as someone who will soon turn eighteen. After dabbing my face with a towel, I changed into a loose black blouse and black leggings for a workout.I walked downstairs to the ground-floor home gym to start my workout while it was still hazy outside. ******After an hour of strenuous ex

JoDroplets of hot water washed all the grime from my body as they hit my skin. My cramped muscles melted under the water’s pressure. Fresh and relaxed from the hot shower, I step out of the steamed-filled bathroom.I dress in fresh formal clothing and head to the dining area for breakfast. The dining room consists of a rectangular white table surrounded by six grey chairs. A flower pot with Inca white marigold resides in the centre of the table. From the ceiling dangles a waterfall crystal chandelier just above the flower pot.The dining environment is rather cheerful. The butlers and housemaids were serving breakfast as usual as father sat at the head of the table having a delightful conversation with mother, who sat next to him. Luke was about to bite the crimson apple, but Daniel grabbed it from him before he could do so. Jacob, shortly followed by Annabeth, entered the dining room.*****Annabeth Olivia Knight. JoI placed my bag in my matte-red vehicle after examining it once more. Hopefully, nothing was missing. With black high-waist pants and black high heel boots, I wore a flowy, white spaghetti-strap tank top. My hair was in a high ponytail, and I wore a black leather jacket, ring earrings, and a black watch.Once I got in my car, I drove to Ann's house to pick her and Jacob up. My heart felt light as my body relaxed. I loved driving. Perfectly at half past seven, I was at Ann’s house. I took punctuality seriously.Jacob and Ann were already standing outside. After I had taught Jacob the great lesson the other day, Jacob will never dare be late again. While letting her dark, curly hair fall, she clasped the black leather jacket over her shoulders. On the other hand, Jake wore blue jeans and a white polo t-shirt tucked in neatly. The shirt accentuated his muscular build. White sneakers and a messy hairstyle finished off his outfit. Both of them sat in the car and greeted me. Since Ann h

The combination of numbers, alphabets, and symbols in front of me could not help but make me smile. My maths teacher, Mr Honey, gave us fifteen minutes to solve this equation.Ha! piece of cake.***** I am nowhere near solving it.I've done this question at least three times, there's no way my answer could be wrong. The anxiety increased, I felt sick. There was not enough time. I felt taunted by the clock. Time was ticking away with no solution in sight. Tick tock, Tick tock. Argh! Maybe the answer key is wrong. The school bell rang, signalling the end of the period. The lunchtime rush prevented Mr Honey from giving me a chance to ask him about this question.I made my way to the cafeteria with a heavy heart. The room was packed with students of all ages and a hum of conversatio

JoThunder erupted from the sky as the black clouds grumbled angrily.Shivers rushed up my skin all the way to my spine. I quickly pulled into the parking spot and raced through the double glass door. I swiftly put my key card in the slot at the door for the security check."Hey, Josette, how are you doing?" Mr Larry, the receptionist, greeted me cheerfully.Mr Larry was about sixty years old. As far as I know, he has worked here for thirty years. He is a friendly, warm-hearted mortal.I made an effort to smile, but all I wanted was to be at home, safe and secure.I said with a shaky voice, "I'm good.”I clutched myself, hoping to get rid of the shivering. Though, my efforts went in vain as the feeling clung to me with a relentless grasp.“Honey, are you alright?” his eyebrows furrowed with worry, “You’re looking a little pale there.”"No, I'm great," I stiffened. “You know, it's just the weather.”

JoThe pleasant fragrance of food that permeated the air caused me to wake up as my stomach began to growl. Due to sleepiness, my eyes were still hazy. I stood up, feeling my body tense.I turned on the lights. The unexpected brightness struck me square in the eyes. It took me a while to adjust to the light, so I had to strain my eyes to read the time. I blew my entire evening away at 10:03.I hurriedly changed out of my now-wrinkled school clothes and put them in the laundry basket.I walked out to the dining area, where I found Ann serving herself some pasta carbonara."Welcome, sleepyhead," Ann remarked.I sat at the table as a yawn escaped my mouth."Well, I arrived late from Liam's, so... last-minute pasta carbonara!" Ann grinned and pointed at the dish.“Hm, it smells so good,” I moaned and served myself some.“So, what are your weekend plans?” I asked.Ann’s face flushed. “Um… Liam and I are going on our first date,” the blush on her face reached all the way down to her neck.“

Chapter 23: The New BoyJo“Hello, mates. Adrik Haven is my name. I am a transfer from the London Institution of Magic and Mystical Creatures. " The dark-hair boy states, "I'm a werewolf.""I suppose that's it," he chuckles. After a few seconds, he turns back to Mr Jones and gives a nod of completion as he turns to leave.Ann leans forward and whispers, “Damn, he is hot,”And I couldn't agree more. He is indeed attractive, but as the saying goes, don't judge a book by its cover. The males sitting close to the girls didn't miss that comment. Their noses wrinkle slightly in rage and envy. Their eyes were razor keen, taking in every detail of the boy approaching them.“Hm, I don’t see it,” Liam mentions, his eyes hard and cold.Ann rolled her eyes at the prominent jealousy radiating from her mate.“I mean, look at those abs!” I exclaimed in awe.Scoffing, Aiden, with his breath tickling my ears, comes in close and murmurs, "I have better, fireball."Shivers run down my body as I turn to

JoI just have one question. What the heck happened to Annabeth? She couldn't have picked a worse moment to vanish than right now!Not only do I have to worry about resisting Aiden, but it will be impossible now that I have to tutor him. To top it all off, I need to study for my exams in order to get into a reputable institution.Great! just great.I am utterly confused. My heart, without a doubt, longs for Aiden, but my obstinate head refuses to give in and fuel his ego.I won't lie; Aiden King is the most spoiled, egotistic, and annoying brat I have ever encountered, yet why does my heart race every time we are near one other? Why does my body react to his touches? Why does being in his hands make me feel at home? They say that the mate bond grows stronger with time.Despite the fact that it's only been a short while since the party, perhaps the feelings existed long before we even realised we were mates.Or maybe I’m falling for him.Presumably, in all of this, challenges and plots

JoI was still soaking in the water. I also damaged Ann's car seat, but she didn't seem to mind.Ann ushered me inside the penthouse as soon as we arrived."How is your ankle?" Ann inquired, her brow pinched with concern.I reassure Ann, rotating my ankle to show my point, "Yeah, the speed healing set in as soon as we sat in the car.""All right, stand still. I'm going to dry you out, "Ann proclaims.I nodded and complied.Ann closed her eyes and raised her hand towards me. Both her little and ring fingers were crooked.I could feel the water slowly evaporate. My wet clothes and body began to dry.Within a few minutes, my entire body was dry, and the heat Ann was generating began to sting.“Ouch, it hurts,” I say, wincing."I'm sorry, I'm still mastering these powers," Ann replies, pouting.“It’s okay,” I say and slump on the bed with a sigh.Ann comes and sits beside me. “Want to talk about what happened?” Ann asks.“Aiden and I fought,” I took a deep breath before continuing. “Ann,

I mentioned."What?" Ann, who was still half asleep, inquired."Take a look at the time, moron!" I told her."Crap!" cried Ann."Exactly!" I exclaimed. We both used our super-speed to tidy up our mess in the living room before rushing off to school.Luckily, we arrived on time.Surprisingly Aiden was nowhere to be fo
