Droplets of hot water washed all the grime from my body as they hit my skin. My cramped muscles melted under the water’s pressure. Fresh and relaxed from the hot shower, I step out of the steamed-filled bathroom.

I dress in fresh formal clothing and head to the dining area for breakfast.

The dining room consists of a rectangular white table surrounded by six grey chairs. A flower pot with Inca white marigold resides in the centre of the table. From the ceiling dangles a waterfall crystal chandelier just above the flower pot.

The dining environment is rather cheerful.

The butlers and housemaids were serving breakfast as usual as father sat at the head of the table having a delightful conversation with mother, who sat next to him.

Luke was about to bite the crimson apple, but Daniel grabbed it from him before he could do so. Jacob, shortly followed by Annabeth, entered the dining room.

*****

Annabeth Olivia Knight. Daughter of Beta Jordan. Ever since we were little, she has been my closest friend. Annabeth, or Ann as we call her, has two brothers, Daniel and Jacob. Annabeth is the youngest of the group, followed by Jake and Daniel.

Ann knows me like the back of her hand. She is the only person around who I feel like I’m not walking on eggshells. In my heart, she is irreplaceable.

Luke, Daniel, and Jake are close buddies. His crime-fighting colleagues have always been Daniel and Jake. The group has played a variety of pranks, from bothersome to explicit. Don’t even get me started on the shitty things they have pulled and how many boys they have scared off every time Ann and I bought them home for our school projects.

Luke and Daniel graduated college a few months ago, so they spent a lot of time with my father and his work. Jake still has one year of college to go.

My father and Beta Jordan have been best mates since they were kids. His two other best friends live in the Red Dawn Pack, Alpha King Alaric and Beta Blake Anderson. We had to listen to all four of them reminisce about their "mischievous days" every Christmas. Although it was intriguing the first time you heard it, you hear it over and over again, each year. It starts to resemble more of a bedtime story.

We are the world's second-largest and most decisive pack after The Alpha King's Pack, The Red Dawn Pack, which is only a short 30- to 45-minute run away.

Additionally, King Alaric often visits my father and Beta Jordan, or we travel to see him in his pack. Along with Beta Blake, he also views my father and Beta Jordan as his brothers. They accompany us on several of our holidays and travels. That is why we are so familiar with one another's families.

While my parents greeted Ann and Jake, Luke glared at Daniel for taking his apple.

I rolled my eyes at them.

It's hard to believe they are college graduates when they act like kids.

Soon Ann joined me at the table. We talked about everyone we were going to meet today over a plate of chocolate pancakes when mother interrupted.

"How is Diana?’’ mother inquired.

“Mom is doing well,” Ann replied.

“So, how did training go?” Jake questioned.

“As usual,” I shrugged.

As Daniel took a bite out of the apple he stole from Luke, Jake sympathised and said, "Fighting with a white wolf isn't a piece of cake." Daniel nodded his agreement as he swallowed the apple.

The Jordan family is aware of my identity as a white wolf. It’s a long story.

Flashback

Jo

I was seven years old when one evening, my father was teaching me the different evasion techniques I might employ if I ever found myself in trouble in my wolf form.

We heard a peculiar sound coming from the woods as my small wolf battled, which involved climbing on my father's wolf and nipping his ear.

My father immediately shook me off of him before grabbing me and tucking me under him. He growled at the woods, urging the intruder to come out.

It wasn't every day that someone ventured into this part of the woods. Only higher-ranked wolves were allowed access to this part of the woods because it was restricted. My father chose to train in this area, allowing us to practise in peace without being concerned about anyone finding out that I am special.

We were stunned to see another white wolf coming toward us. White wolves were rare, and seeing another white wolf was even rarer.

I ran towards the little white wolf with emerald eyes, eager to make a friend. My father’s wolf caught me by the scruff of my neck and set me aside.

My wolf, Jenna, whined at my father’s wolf, who ignored her and returned to face the problem we were stuck in.

Another wolf was with the white wolf, but something about their scents felt familiar.

“What is the meaning of this, Jordan?” My father questioned the wolf with disbelief in his eyes.

Jordan? As in Beta Jordan? Little me wondered.

As my father was the Alpha, he commanded them to shift. The brown wolf turned back into his human form, but the white wolf did not.

We discovered that this was the case because the Alpha's command had no bearing on white wolves at all, though it was helpful to me. After all, I was an Alpha's daughter. It got me out of doing chores.

An Alpha’s command/ tone compels a wolf to listen to whatever its Alpha says, and the wolf is obliged to do so.

Beta Jordan and my father talked while the other white wolf and I played on the grass.

That was the day I learned Ann was a white wolf as well. I was relieved to realise that I wasn't fighting this battle alone, which strengthened our already-growing friendship into a lifelong one.

Beta Jordan was thrilled that he didn't have to keep secrets from his alpha and best friend, and my father was happy that he didn't have to keep secrets from his beta.

Ever since then, Ann and I have been training together.

End of Flashback

*****

Dan, Jacob, and Ann often come to our house for breakfast. My parents treated them as if they were their own children.

After breakfast, it was time for school. The first days of school, which I was not looking forward to, were the worst.

Our school is situated in the middle of the woods, on a territory considered a neutral area for supernatural beings.

Our school accepts all various kinds of supernatural beings, Vampires, Witches, Werewolves etc.

Although there are several schools for the paranormal located around the world, only a few of them welcome students from all types of supernatural entities. The Clairvoyant Academy is the name of the institution where we study. To avoid raising suspicion, we strive to mix in with other mortal schools.

Our school's architecture is ancient, dating back thousands of years.

Initially, this building was the residence of The Originals, the first supernatural beings to walk on earth, the First Witch High Priestess, the First Vampire King, and the First Alpha King.

Their goal is to create a peaceful, harmonious environment for all three supernatural factions.

Over the years, the palace became more and more modern as we grew and evolved, and then it became a school.

The school contains a lot of underground passageways, hidden chambers, and clandestine mysteries. While some of them were discovered, others were lost.

As you approach the school's grounds, you will come to a set of big, vintage gates that lead to the driveway. Two ballrooms, a conference room where announcements are delivered, gatherings hosted, and other facilities on various floors of the school building.

Furthermore, there is a cafeteria, a beautiful garden that stretches several miles outside the school, and various fields and courts for miscellaneous sports.

All supernatural beings of various ages, colours, and ranks attend this school.

Those from all over the world who want to become werewolf alphas, vampire kings and queens, witch high priests and priestesses, betas or gammas would come to our school for training and discipline.

Additionally, there are also normal werewolves, witches, and vampires.

The school is divided into different sections and wings for all the distinct factions of supernatural beings so that we don't fight with each other.

We have a lot of fun throwing parties in the school's ballroom occasionally and inviting all the supernatural creatures.

At our school, we have peacemakers, councillors, and other people who keep the peace between all the factions by handling fights as they arise and ensuring peace between all of them.

Since there are so many potential future leaders attending our school, we have also made significant investments in defence mechanisms, which have helped deter supernatural beings and rogues with a hunger for power from taking advantage of us.

To protect us from harm, the witches have also drawn and magically spelled the perimeters of the school.

In a nutshell, there is nothing that can harm this academy.

Besides being a school, The Clairvoyant Academy is also home to many supernatural creatures.

It’s our haven.

JoThe weekend is coming to a close, and instead of getting ready for my first day of work tomorrow, I am lounging here watching TV with a popcorn bowl in hand.‘Procrastination is the thief of time,’ they say.Even though I am entirely aware of that expression, I just studied all night, so I deserve a break. As I flipped through the channels on the TV, I felt the couch dip on my side, and suddenly the remote got snatched from my hand.“Hey!” I complained, but Luke ignored me.Though being back home was fantastic, sibling quarrels were just unavoidable.“I was watching something! Give it back!” I argued.Luke just coolly shrugged and started flipping through the channels. I wasn’t about to go down so readily, so I retaliated and went to grab the remote. And that’s how my brother-dearest and I ended up in a fight over the remote. I was as relentless as Luke was obstinate. The struggle was a fruitful one; it reminded me of my childhood.Eventually, Elena came to my rescue and scolded L

Finally, with all my strength, I performed a twist strike that split his stick in half.“This is the third stick you have broken in the past hour, Aiden,” Liam stated, huffing as he threw the broken pieces away.“Want to talk it out?” he asked.I picked up another stick from the rack and rotated it in my hands before gripping it tightly, “Sure.”I pounced at him after I responded. He backflipped, somersaulted, and grabbed a fallen stick off the ground to avoid the blow."Sure, you want it this way. "Let's go," Liam said as he lunged at me.As we fought, our sticks collided.Unfortunately, I spent the night at Jo's with Adrik. Every time he smiled at her, I was on the verge of smashing his face. Thinking about him exacerbated my wrath."He dared to tell me he was keeping Jo 'company,'" I snarled a

It was a success.Goddess, the hours I endured listening to Liam ramble on and on about cafes, flowers, picnics, and other things.Currently, the couple is chatting on the couch across from me. Usually, I would eavesdrop, but unfortunately, eavesdropping on Ann's phone call would result in a lecture from Liam.“So, how was your date, loverboy?” I teased.Liam rolled his eyes as he relaxed on the couch, “Perfect,”I nodded my head, “I guess congratulations are in order,”With a playfu

Mr Larry, the receptionist, greeted me cheerfully.Mr Larry was about sixty years old. As far as I know, he has worked here for thirty years. He is a friendly, warm-hearted mortal.I made an effort to smile, but all I wanted was to be at home, safe and secure.I said with a shaky voice, "I'm good.”I clutched myself, hoping to get rid of the shivering. JoThe pleasant fragrance of food that permeated the air caused me to wake up as my stomach began to growl. Due to sleepiness, my eyes were still hazy. I stood up, feeling my body tense.I turned on the lights. The unexpected brightness struck me square in the eyes. It took me a while to adjust to the light, so I had to strain my eyes to read the time. I blew my entire evening away at 10:03.I hurriedly changed out of my now-wrinkled school clothes and put them in the laundry basket.I walked out to the dining area, where I found Ann serving herself some pasta carbonara."Welcome, sleepyhead," Ann remarked.I sat at the table as a yawn escaped my mouth."Well, I arrived late from Liam's, so... last-minute pasta carbonara!" Ann grinned and pointed at the dish.“Hm, it smells so good,” I moaned and served myself some.“So, what are your weekend plans?” I asked.Ann’s face flushed. “Um… Liam and I are going on our first date,” the blush on her face reached all the way down to her neck.“

After a few seconds, he turns back to Mr Jones and gives a nod of completion as he turns to leave.Ann leans forward and whispers, “Damn, he is hot,”And I couldn't agree more.
