Wait, what breakfast?

I suddenly realized that I'd completely forgotten to agree on a time with Kyrie yesterday because I'd been too excited.

It was fine. I could always figure out the time with her once I reached the company. Tonight would be a great time, for instance.

After calming down, I woke Luther up. He had to go to school, after all.

Mrs. Dawson, our housekeeper, was already busying herself in the kitchen at that time. When she saw me leaving the house, she quickly stopped me.

"Luc, did you take an umbrella?" she asked as she wiped her hands on a cloth while walking out of the kitchen.

I silently retracted my left leg, which had been about to cross the doorway. Then, I made a detour to pick up an umbrella for myself.

On the way to the company, I stopped by the flower shop to buy a bouquet of lilies, which looked ready to bloom anytime soon.

Kyrie looked up at me from behind her desk. I passed her the latest bouquet.
