Chapter 82

Sebastian and I spent the rest of the day at my grandparents’ house, watching over mom. With each time she drank dragon blood, she looked more like her previous self and stronger. At two a.m., Grandma Gabi drew another sample of mom’s blood and smiled as she walked out of the house, “This should be the last time. The last blood draw looked really close to the way it should. Just in case, when you wake up this morning, don’t take your anti-rejection meds. The blood work will tell us if they are still needed.” Mom nodded in agreement, then turned over and went to sleep after yawning, “Thanks, grandma. Goodnight.” I chuckled as I walked Grandma Gabi and Grandpa Cade out of the house. I nodded to their guards and she walked away.
