The Great Escape (3)

I'm scared of how smooth everything is going actually. How the early morning breeze slapping our faces didn't feel so biting. Or, how Dylan could pedal this vehicle at almost the same speed as a horse so that we quickly arrived at the meeting point. Or, how our journey went smoothly without any major interruptions, even when we met the knights.

They readily accepted us in disguise, then led us to a group of people who were preparing to leave the capital. We were only asked where we came from and how we survived this long.

This led us to speculate about the possibility that King Haddad was not after or looking for us despite his desire to possess Dylan and me. Or, the soldiers were ordered to save as many humans as possible so there was no need to care about identity.

Still, disguises were necessary just in case Hayden's men intruded.

"Eugh," Tuyul shivered.

I thought fairies couldn't feel cold, but that seems wrong.

"What's wrong, Tuyul?" I asked out of concern but was ignored by Tuyu
