The Rising dead: The story of the Photo

There was a tenderness in her seeing the photograph, for the last conversation Elizabeth had with her it was clear she was extremely close to her mother and the picture brought a lot of emotions back so it was expressed in her face.

“This picture was taken so long ago when they were young. They were very good friends…they even were each other's bridesmaids at their weddings…” there was a pause to stop her feelings from pouring out.

“They had their little inside jokes, they would knit together and were godmothers to each other's daughters. They were as close as only friends can be”

Suddenly it felt like Claudia Martin was frozen in time as if she was actually seeing them around the house: around the fire knitting, with their goddaughters having a funny conversation or both of their families having dinner together, many memories contained in one house, where she was the sole guardian.

    Maggie's father had left for a social event between friends that night, so she was all alone in her house the sun was starting to set and the views from the window were foreshadowing a night where the fog would cover the streets and her nerves would be shattered once more. Ofcourse she thought of going to Rory’s house for company but if she were to be found out to be with him her father would probably disown her. She tried keeping calm and tried focusing on house chores and reading a good book, but at the moment when she would forget everything and start to enjoy what she was doing the image of her sister's corpse would appear in her mind and perturb her again. Maggie was not the superstitious type but the events of the last days really got her and it got significantly worse when she looked out the window again and saw nothing more than a dark thick fog, she deduced that it must have expanded to the entire town.
