Hailey was wearing a smile as she walked to her sister carrying a tray of cookies. Lily would be surprised to see her because she had visited her just the day before, but she had tried a new recipe and couldn't wait to share it with her twin sister.
She glanced around Lily's garden and felt her heart swell with pride.
Her sister had come a very long way.... They both had. It has been five years since they came to Hollow Springs and everyday since then has been nothing but blissful.
Nobody suspected what they were, and that's because they did a very good job in hiding themselves.
They only feed on wild animals twice a week and took an oath not to hurt mankind.
It was very hard for them both, especially Hailey. Lily had more control.... It was very hard for Hailey because they literally crave human blood. She could smell it and it tore her apart.
So she tried her best to stay away from human company.
They had tried their best to blend in which was working perfectly for them, besides the hunger.
They had both gone after their dreams.
Lily got married two years ago to Dax and she now has her own garden while Hailey has the biggest Bakery in the village.
They were really doing well
"Hailey?" Lily called when she saw her sister and ran to her.
"What are you doing here? I wasn't aware that you were coming over today."
"Well I wanted to surprise you. Plus I brought some cookies..it's a new recipe so I need you to taste it and tell me what' it's like"
Lily smiled and took a cookie from the tray in Hailey's hands. She bit Into one and moaned in pleasure.
"Oh my God this is so good" She said eating the rest of it and picking up another one
"You think so?"
"Of course.." She reassured with a mouth full of cookies. "They are really good. Are they all for me?
"Yeah yeah. I'll make some more for the store tomorrow. I'm glad you like them"
"That's great. I'm really busy right now and I can't leave them here. Can you be a good girl and take them to the house for me? Dad is around and he would love to see you too".
Hailey smiled and nodded. She gave not seen her in law all week and she would love to see him too
Dax was an angel and Hailey was happy that her sister found her own happiness in a man like him. She deserved the world and Dax was the best.
"I'll do that. Come over tomorrow okay? I have some things I'd love to show you in the store" Hailey said and kissed her sister goodbye.

"Dax?"
Hailey called knocking on his door and frowned when she didn't get an answer. Didn't Lily say that he was home? Did he go out?.
Well...she could just drop the tray and leave...or she could leave and come over later, because it was rude to go into someone's house like that..even if it was her sister's house.
She turned and was about to leave but the smell of blood stopped her immediately and she froze.
The smell was so heavy it had Hailey worried. That wasn't blood from an injury...that was a huge flow of blood.
"Dax!" Hailey screamed and rushed into the house with her super speed, heart beating very fast.
The smell got worse and Hailey could feel her self control slipping away but she held it in.
"Dax!" She screamed again and ran into the room bursting the door open.
She gasped at what she saw panicking.
"Oh my God please no!" She cried getting down on her knees. There in the room was Dax's head torn away from the rest of his body, lying down in a pool of his own blood
Hailey screamed again in pain, staring at the body and head in front of her.
Why?
Why....why why why?
Why does this have to keep happening to them? What had they done wrong to deserve this?
Just when Lily was finding her own happiness.
For the first time in years, Hailey felt hot tears slipping down her cheeks. She was torn and in pain.
"Hello daughter"
Hailey gasped in horror at the voice behind her and she turned immediately to see the face behind their daily nightmare.
"Vanessa," she whispered.
Vanessa stood by the door smiling, with an older woman beside her.
Now it made sense...but why?
"What are you doing here?" Haily whispered.
"Did you really think that you could hide from me forever Hailey? Did you think I'd let you get away with the betrayal?" She asked, the smile on her face vanishing.
"Forgive me Vanessa. Forgive me for wanting a little freedom" Hailey cried.
"Whatever we did, you could have just come to us. You didn't have to involve an innocent. What wrong did Dax do to deserve this?"
Vanessa raised her eyebrows and shrugged
"I don't care. He's not innocent Hailey. You see, your sister cares about him...and that's the perfect revenge I could think of"
"Lily won't forgive you for this. We are your daughter's for Fuck sake. What did we do wrong? Why must you make us suffer so much?"
"Getting married is a taboo for us love. Unless you decide to turn the human. How can you fall in love with a prey? It was doomed to fail." Vanessa said with another smile looking back at the old woman beside her who was just watching them both with a blank expression.
Hailey breathed in heavily, and in seconds stood up and pressed Vanessa against the wall Choking her with her hands
"You are a sick psychopath. That's what you are" she whispered and pressed her neck tighter
Vanessa didn't wince or move an inch as she looked down at Hailey with a mocking expression.
"All I wanted was to give you both the world. What did you pay me back with? Betrayal" she spat out and Hailey laughed sadly
"The world? You call this a favor?... You killed our father you witch!. You took away our dreams and everything we ever wanted and you think you were doing this a favor?" Hailey screamed and pressing her neck tighter threw her across the room with full force
Vanessa swung perfectly in the air and landed on the bed effortlessly.
"You are stronger" She said with a proud smile and Hailey shrugged.
"Lily will come for you Vanessa. And I'll help her find and kill you " she knew that Vanessa was too strong for her alone.
"No she won't. Because she would be too busy chasing after you, and haunting you" Vanessa said walking beside her.
"What...?"
"You see I'm not planning to make things easy for you both at all. I have it all planned out. Kill Lily's husband, frame you and turn you both against each other. That's the perfect Revenge" She smiled clapping her hands
"Lily would never believe that. She knows that I would never do such a thing bro her ...so it's game over for you Vanessa"
"I know that. That's why you are going to tell her that you killed Dax. My witch Friend here is going to put in the memory of how I killed Dax in your head, but this time make it yours. By the time she's done, you will believe yourself that you killed him"
Hailey's legs weakened immediately and she turned to the witch in question
"Please don't do this" She whispered, although she knew that was useless. Her mother always gets her way.
She tried to run away from the room, but a pain in her head stopped her the moment she walked past the witch.
The agonizing pain increased bit by bit bringing her to her knees.
She saw Vanessa... herself knocking on the door and Dax opening the door. Then inviting her in.
She saw herself sinking her teeth into Dax's neck and drinking his blood. She heard Dax's screams and tears welled in her eyes
"No no," Hailey whispered.
Then she saw herself tearing looking deep into Dax's frightened and tear filled eyes before grabbing his head in both hands and ripping his head off.
Hailey screamed and collapsed.
Hailey woke up later with her head banging. Headache? When was the last time she had a headache? She opened her eyes and frowned at her surroundings... Was this not Lily's house? What was she doing here? Then her stomach turned as she perceived the smell of blood.Wincing she got up from the bed rubbing her eyes over her face and froze again at the wet feeling on her face. She looked at her palm and saw blood.Hailey gasped in horror trying her best to remember where the blood came from. She tried to remember how the blood got to her hands. That was the smell of human blood.Only thing she Could remember was leaving Lily's garden with a tray of cookies and coming to her house. She remembered knocking and Dax opening the door with a smile and inviting her in. Inviting her in? Why wasn't she carrying the tray of cookies then? Where had she kept it?She didn't remember. With stomach still turning and head turning she got down from the bed and almost screamed at the sight beside the be
