Leaving the comforting silence of our designated bedroom, we make our way back out to the group. “How is everything looking?” I ask as I huddle around the monitors with everyone. “We can see them moving along the barrier, but none have made it across just yet.” Harmony announces. “Any idea how many there are?” I ask. “Feels like a lot,” Sydney reveals from her place on the couch. Her face is ghostly white, and she looks ill. “What is wrong?” I move to her side and place my hand on her forehead to check her temperature. “Can you guys get a fever?” I ask, looking to Lawler for an answer. “Yes.
