The loud wails of a child filled the dungeon cell.

"It's a girl!" The midwife announced cheerfully.

Julian received his child with tears. Livia sat up weakly.

"She looks just like you," Julian smiled, placing the child in her arms.

The midwife smiled at them and walked out.

"Tell the queen it's a girl child, she need not bother about killing the poor child," she whispered to a guard. The guard marched off.

"Oh, it's enough," she cooed, entering back into the cell with a false smile, "let's have the mother and child cleaned up."

Julian paced about the well furnished Brevian royal room. He felt out of place in the sparkly clean room with his dirty clothes and body. He wondered why the queen suddenly requested for them to be moved out of the dungeon.

Livia was brought into the room. She was in tears.
