BELLA
"You're freaking out, Bella and in turn you're freaking me out. Calm the fuck down woman. Jesus!"
Eva yelled, already unable to take my attitude.
I was pacing around the living room, unable to believe it had happened to me again.
Unable to believe that something definitely happened that I can't even remember.
"Okay! Okay! Here's my theory. I probably hit my head on something when I got in yesterday and because of that, two mosquitoes climbed my neck and stung me and then I woke up this morning because of how hard you knocked on my door, right?" I asked.
Eva creased her eyebrow before shaking her head quickly.
"You're so right, girl. That your theory is perfect" she stood up, picked up our bags before she continued. "Can we get to work now?"
"Are you sure I'm correct?" I asked. I was trying to get someone to be on the same line as me. To actually believe that I'm not crazy and that my theory was right.
"There's nothing as right as what you said, baby girl. Let's go"
I picked up my scarf and tied it around my neck to cover up the bite marks, and collected my bag from her as we left the house.
Since the restaurant and the library was just a few metres from our apartment, we usually walk. Well, I usually work but now that Eva got a job and stopped depending on her rich daddy, she's now a co-worker even though our jobs are different but at least the two works are directly beside each other.
"If my theory is right, why did I wake up on the bed and not on the floor if I'd hit my head on something like I propounded in my theory"
Eva groaned.
"Are we still talking about this?"
"There's no explanation for what is going on with me exactly. I wake up with a bite marks twice now and I can't even remember how it happened"
I cried out.
Eva grabbed my hand and consoled me.
"At least you remembered the first one, right?" I nodded.
"But I don't remember his face," I confessed.
"Who?"
"Adonis. I only remember his name. He's the guy I saw in my dream and he looked really familiar but I can't remember his face"
"Normal and regular Eva wouldn't believe any of these stories but since they're coming from you, I'll try my possible best to believe you"
"It felt so real, everything felt so real. It wasn't as if I was dreaming. It felt real, Eva. I'm supposed to be scared about this but it's so frustrating because I'm actually excited about it"
"You calm down and let time take care of it"
She said as we stopped in front of the library that she works at before I'll get to the restaurant.
"I didn't remember to ask you. Did you like working here?" I asked.
"Of course. The boss let me take some smoking breaks in between work. All I just do is get my stuff and go do my thing in the staff toilet. He's super cool too"
I smiled.
"Ethan is cool. I haven't really had a one on one conversation with him but some of my co-workers believe he's an amazing guy" I agreed to her statement.
"I heard my name" A voice suddenly interrupted our conversation from behind me. Eva and I turned to the direction and saw that it was Ethan.
"Hi Ethan"
"Morning boss" Eva greeted and disappeared into the library without even saying goodbye to me.
"Hi Bella,"
"You know my name," I said surprisingly.
"Of course, how am I supposed to miss the name of the most beautiful woman I've ever seen?"
That just proved he's a smooth talker.
"That's so nice of you and it's really good seeing you and talking to you. I'll see you around, Ethan"
As I turned to walk away, he stopped me.
"If you don't mind, can we grab some dinner tonight?"
"Sure, why not?" I replied
"When do you close from work so I'll know when to pick you up?"
"It's not a date, Ethan. It's not necessary for you to pick me up. I'll meet you here after work. I close by five" I replied, a forced smile on my face.
Ethan is a nice guy but I've got a lot of my mind right now to actually give someone a real smile.
"I'll get your number from Eva and I'll see you later"
"Yeah, take care of my girl"
I joked and he laughed.
I didn't bother looking back to see if he was still there or not as I walked away towards the restaurant door.
As I walked in, Maria handed over a bucket and a mopping stick.
"You're late, Bell. There's no better punishment for you than cleaning up the toilet. Good luck with that" She waved, smiled and walked away like a turkey as she usually does without even giving me a chance to say something.
"My name is Bella, not Bell" I called after her.
I couldn't probably beat her up or say anything against her because she's fucking the boss and also because I need this job. The last person who had a faceoff with Maria ended up in the boss's black book and got fired three days after.
"I like your scarf, Bella" Dede, the girl at the counter, said. She's eighteen and had just graduated high school but she's the sweetest person in this restaurant.
"Thanks Dede. How's your mama?" I asked.
Her mum has been in and out of hospital making the poor girl work twice as hard and that makes her so pitiful.
"She's responding to treatment and the doctors think she should be out of the hospital this week" she replied smiling.
"That's good news, I'm so happy for you"
"Thanks Belle and I'm so sorry you had to clean the toilet. You know how Bitchy Maria is"
"Don't worry about this. I'll be fine. See you soon"
I dropped off my bag with her before walking into the toilet area. For three hours, I scrubbed, washed and mopped the three male and female toilets without any help from anyone. Everytime I tried resting for a moment, Maria would be there with her thick blonde hair and I wouldn't have a choice than to continue the work.
My phone vibrated at some point, just a few seconds after she left. I brought it out and saw a message from a strange number.
"You shouldn't let her treat you like that, Mi Bella"
I frowned at the text but quickly brushed it off as nothing and faced back my work.
Once I was done, I made sure to clean up thoroughly in the worker's bathroom before walking into the kitchen to resume my work fully.
The old pervert I was working with still didn't stop passing silly and naughty comments at me and like the good girl that I was, I ignored everything and could only smile.
By the time I was free from my kitchen duties, it was almost five. I retrieved my phone from the locker room as we weren't allowed to use our phones during work hours.
I checked it and realized there was no message from Ethan, making me wonder if he had forgotten about our dinner so soon.
"Bella," Dede called.
"Yes"
I replied and walked towards her, changing direction as I was walking towards the door to leave for dinner or home, whatever the case will finally be.
"Someone was here to see you earlier. He was really strange because he only asked where you were and if I knew you but he refused when I told him I could call for you" she narrated
I was confused. I'm not expecting anyone, not even my family.
"What does he look like?"
"I can't really say but he looked really good. He was wearing a black hat and had an umbrella with him"
Eyes widen, I asked. "A black umbrella?"
"Yes, do you know him?"
"When did he leave?" I asked, hoping I'll meet up with him.
"About two hours ago. Ooh and he told me his name" I began shaking my head, hoping the name would be different, hoping all I had was just a dream.
*Please don't be him. Please don't be Adonis*
"Adonis. Yes! Adonis is his name. It's a really…."
I didn't wait to hear anything else from her before I started walking away towards the door.
As I walked out of the door, still confused and super confused, I collided into a body.
"I'm really sorry, I didn't look where I was going. Oh my God!"
I screamed as I saw Ethan. His face was bruised, swollen and beaten up.
"What happened to your face, Ethan?"
"Why didn't you tell me you had a boyfriend, Eva?"
What!
"I didn't even ask you out for a date. It was just dinner and he told me to stay away from you or else, I wouldn't survive the hit next time"
"I don't have a boyfriend, Ethan" I argued.
"Well, whoever the hell Adonis is, I think it'll be better if you stay away from him and please, stay away from me as well incase you see me ever again"
He almost hit me by my shoulder before walking away as I looked on in shock.
Andro"Hello Andro, it's been a while, Boss" George mocked from the other end of the line."What do you want, George?" I asked him, acting indifferent"Guess who I have here with me," he asked."I'm not in the mood for your games, George. Go straight to the point""Your girl, Annika" he laughed hysterically, waiting for me to react rashly. The thing is, I knew Annika was with him. I'd instructed Annika to go with him while she was in my car earlier today. Even though she was hesitant about it, I assured her that she'll be fine. Adonis and Bella would be in the restaurant with her, disguising as the cook and his assistant."She has nothing to do with this, George. You need to let her go" I warned him."I need you to step down, Adonis. That throne rightfully belongs to me and me alone" He yelled."Fine, how do we go about it?" I
AndroHours earlierAnger surged inside of me as I marched out of Annika's room. That bastard has disguised himself as Nathaniel and still went on to make plans with my woman but I can bet that whatever his plans are will go down the drain."What's up with you? I can feel your anger from across the room" I didn't have to turn before I knew it was Adonis."Nothing you should concern yourself about" I replied."Even if I'm still mad at you for not telling me about Annika, I can't let this one slide. What's up?""I didn't mean to keep her from you," I replied honestly."I know you don't but the fact remains that I just got to know about her yesterday and you got to know about Bella just a few days after I'd met her""That was because you called for something, Adonis. If you hadn’t needed my help, you wouldn't have mentioned her to me"&nbs
Annika"What did you say I'll be doing here again?" Galina asked as she dropped from her car, in front of my parent's home"Moral support," I replied and winked at her.Andro had dropped me off a few minutes ago as well as the lawyer to the police station where he went to file the case. The lawyer told me it might not be easy since there was no medical evidence against my stepfather. After I mentioned that I'd gone to the hospital the first time it happened, he said he'll pull all the strings and get the reports out but for now, the evidence at hand was enough to get him arrested as well as my mother."What will you be doing
AnnikaThe bed was warm and cozy, so I snuggled into it and refused to open my eyes even when I felt Adonis kissing my shoulder. Last night was incredible, I was scared that I would've messed things up but when Andro took charge and made me take charge after, I knew this place was meant to be home."Open your eyes gorgeous," he kissed my shoulder yet again. I groaned before I opened them to see a shiny object dangling in front of me.I opened my eyes widely to realize that it was a necklace. I touched it and collected it from Andro."What's this?" I asked him, waking up properly."My family heirloom. I was my parent's only child before they died centuries ago when the vampires were under the serious invasion of hunters because our supposed to be werewolf king preferred to be an asshole and walk away from the pack leaving us vulnerable to hunters"I hummed."Why are
Andro"Annika,"I called out as she walked past me, tears rolling down her pretty face. What the hell could be wrong?I had come out from the garden to feed Raven when I saw her marching off."Annika," I ran after her hoping she'd stop once she heard her name but that didn't stop her. She was marching off as if she was mad about something.I threw myself in front of her, trying to stop her. She stopped in her tracks, looked up, and when she saw me, she tried moving away. I changed to the direction she was trying to walk and blocked her path."What's wrong Annika?" I asked her, holding her face in my palm."Nothing is wrong. Nothing else could be wrong other than you being a jerk, an asshole and a loser" she spat."What's going on? What did I do?" I asked. I know I've messed up by keeping my distance from her these past few d
Annika It's been a week since I last heard from Andro. The first three days of his absence were hell. I was so worried about him and scared as well. I called his phone several times and he didn't pick up which was unusual. Why act like I was the air you breathe one time and act like a stranger the next? I was gulping down the juice boxes I had stacked under my bed like ten times a day. My emotion was out of place and I could feel a conscripting pain in my heart every time. On the fourth day, I paid a visit to his place, and to my surprise, the gates were locked. I had no other option than to leave after waiting for several hours. There was no one I could talk to or call to ask about his whereabouts. I could feel myself drowning away with no other option in sight. It was at that moment of my life that I realized Andro w
