ADONIS

Keeping my Bella safe is my new mission and major priority, so for the first time, I dismissed my driver, Gregory and informed him that his services will no longer be needed until when necessary.

Since I'm just a property owner and what is called a landlord, I don't necessarily have to go to work and that made it possible for me to keep a close eye on Bella.

From the moment she walked out of her apartment this morning with her roommate who for unknown reasons gives me negative vibes, to them walking to the restaurant together, I've been lurking around her. 

Bella looked so beautiful as the sun appeared to radiate on her skin. Men turned whenever she walked past them and women were jealous at how the men looked at her with so much lust and admiration while all I  could do was boil with jealousy and anger. 

I wish I could snap their heads off their necks and feed them to vultures. 

Bella in turn, didn't notice any of these as she was busy explaining to her friend about what had happened to her and how it was almost impossible to happen twice and she still doesn't have any memory of it happening.

I purposely left her with the memory of the previous night, I let her remember my name because I wanted her to know she belongs only to Adonis and only to him.

Her soul belongs to me. I've bonded with her soul, I've marked her soul as mine. She's my Emerthus and I already connected to her but the problem is appearing to her physically. It'll scare her off and I don't think my heart would be able to bear that. 

Instead of making myself physical this time, I try to be as invisible as possible.

She looked worried about something and once I used my supernatural senses, I could hear everything she was saying to her friend.

Appearing to her would scare her away, letting her know I bit her could make her go crazy and like Andro had said, I'll sure need a whole lot of luck to get her to be mine finally.

"Hi Ethan" Her cheerful voice got my attention and when I looked up, I saw red.

She was smiling at a guy who was also smiling back at her. Then the guy said something about dinner and picked her up at home.

"It's not a date, Ethan. It's not necessary for you to pick me up. I'll meet you here after work. I close by five"

I was half satisfied with what her response was but I still wasn't satisfied with the fact that she'll be having dinner with this guy.

I watched intensely as she walked into the restaurant. Ethan was licking his lips seductively as he watched her walk into the restaurant, swaying her behind. The same ass that belongs to me only.

Instead of walking up to him and punching his face in, I stopped and had a rethink.

I'll deal with him later but until then, I have to keep an eye on Bella. 

By the time I walked closer to the restaurant, Bella was already by the counter, talking to a girl. She was holding a mopping stick and a bucket.

So, I waited, until I realized she was actually in the bathroom, mopping and washing the floors.

I had heard Blondie talking to another guy about giving Bella a well deserved punishment for getting late to work. I wish I could strangle the girl but I didn't.

I waited for the perfect time. 

Even though it took the blonde three hours to finally walk out of the restaurant, it was still the perfect time to make my revenge active.

Using telekinesis, one of the uncommon attributes I'd been blessed with as a vampire, I made her walk into a moving vehicle.

I smirked as the bus hit her, throwing her halfway off the road. Her body sprawled on the floor as people screamed, some called 911 while the other only looked at her and walked away.

The impact of the accident wouldn't be much on her, because the car was not actually moving fast and I'd purposely made her run into that particular car.

It was only to teach her a lesson, not to kill her. 

A man, the same man I saw her talking to this morning,  ran out of the restaurant and once he saw her being lifted into an ambulance, he walked back in, took his car key and yelled some instructions to the girl at the counter before he drove away to the hospital.

Hours after Bella emerged from the bathroom, she walked into the kitchen, tying her red hair on the way. I wish I could run my hands through her hair right now. I longed to feel her body against mine. I long to kiss her face and tell her how much I want to spend eternity with her.

"How may I help you, please?" 

I'd already walked into the restaurant and I wasn't surprised when the girl who was talking to Bella this morning walked up to me.

I've been sitting for a few minutes now and I haven't even gotten anything yet.

"Do you need anything? A meal or a drink? We sell snacks too" she announced with a smile on her face.

"Where's Bella?" I asked, as if I didn't know where she was.

"She's in the kitchen. If you need me to get her for you, sir?"

"No" I replied sharply.

"Do you need to get anything? I can take your order" She repeated, getting on my nerves.

I hate it when people sing in my ear like a bird.

"If I need anything, I'll inform you" I replied, looking forward.

"I'm really sorry sir but the protocol of this restaurant doesn't allow for customer to sit for more than thirty minutes without ordering something" 

"If so, get me a bottle of water and whatever snack that Bella had baked by herself" I instructed and the girl nodded.

Within ten minutes, she was back with my order.

"Get me my bills"

She stretched the bill towards me and I paid with fifty dollars extra.

"You can keep the change and let me stay here in peace" 

The girl left without saying anything but only to return with my fifty dollars change. She left it on the table.

"You don't have to pay me extra so as to stay here. As long as you buy something, you're free to stay" 

I nodded, surprised at her honesty.

"Do you like Bella?" Her question made me change my option about her being honest to being blunt.

"Yes" 

"I like her too. She's pretty and nice. She's the nicest person to me here. Bella's always…." 

Before she could go on and on with her talks, I interrupted her.

"Don't you have work to get back to?" I asked, frowning as my ears were already getting tired of her talks.

"Of course. Sorry about that. I just tend to talk so much" 

She turned to start leaving but suddenly stopped.

"What's your name? I'll need to tell Bella someone asked about her later when she's out of the kitchen" 

After a few seconds of silence, I replied, "Adonis" 

Finally, the girl left. I sat there for two extra hours before standing up to deal with the next business.

I walked into the library next door and the first thing that hit my nose was the smell of sex.

Tracing the smell, I walked around and realized no one was actually in the library until I saw Ethan and Bella's friend hitting it up against the wall.

Her legs were wrapped around his waist as he banged into her. Beads of sweat run down their body. Her hands held his hair tightly as she moaned loudly with her eyes closed.

This type of scene is none of my business but the fact that little fucker with his little weenie asked Bella out in the morning while banging her friend in the afternoon pisses me off. 

I hid behind one of the book shelves and waited for them to finish their business before following Ethan into his office.

He was still adjusting his trousers when I walked in. 

As he heard the door being locked behind him, he turned and when he saw me, he was confused.

Confusion isn't the emotion that I want.

I want fear.!

I want to feed on that fear that erupts from his soul.

"Hi, Ethan, right?" 

He nodded.

"Who are you? If you need to borrow books, that'll be by the counter, not here" 

"Do I look like someone who needs a book?" I asked, laughing menacingly. That was when it began.

I began to feel his fear from there.

Before he could ask any more questions, I gave him a hard hit on the face, sending him to the floor.

When he turned to face me, I realized I should stop. His face was already bashed in and hitting him more could make him brain damaged or kill him if possible.

He's just a mere mortal and his body can't  take more than usual.

"Just one thing you should know: stay away from Bella or I'll kill you the next time you appear before her" 

I opened the door and left almost immediately.

Till Bella closed from work, I waited in the shadows, watched her every step. I waited till she started walking home away without the company of her friend.

Her hand was wrapped around her body as she walked, obvious that she was deep in thought. 

After she got home, I waited in front of her apartment, hid myself till she switched off her room's light and instead of going straight to my home,

I jumped through her window and walked towards her bed as she was sleeping soundly.

I wrapped myself around her and kissed her forehead. By the time I realized she was shivering from my lack of body warmth, I felt guilty.

Quickly, I wrapped the blanket tightly around her to keep her warm. I held her close to my body, kissed her hair and whispered into her ears.

"Yo siempre te protegeré, mi amor eterno"

(T: I'll always protect you, my eternal love)
