Cassandra's POV

A dull ache throbbed at the back of my head as consciousness slowly returned. My throat felt parched and sore, each breath a dry rasp. Opening my eyes, I was greeted by darkness and the clinking sound of metal against stone. As my vision adjusted, muted shapes began to form around me. Panic set in when I realised I was chained to a chair, cold and unforgiving against my skin.

My heart pounded erratically as I strained against the chains, but they held firm. Every movement sent jolts of pain through my bruised wrists. I desperately scanned the room, the dim light revealing only bare walls and a thick wooden door. The unmistakable scent of dampness and decay permeated the air.

*What is this place? Where am I? * Questions swam through my mind in rapid succession. I tried to recall how I ended up here, and flashes of memory returned—my confrontation with Adam, his grip on my throat, the encroaching darkness.

A muffled voice outside the door drew my attention. It grew l

Well, I Definitely Do NOT have a problem with this situation. She deserves EVERY OUNCE of PAIN he’s about to inflict on her. I don’t think her mate will show up because he’s too busy trying to protect his true nature & he doesn’t want to be associated w/Cass because their secret will unfold.

Alexander’s POV Fatigue gnawed at my bones, each step I took feeling heavier than the last. Keeping an eye on Olivia all day from the shadows had been draining, both physically and emotionally. Watching her with Reed had been even more torturous. Seeing them together stirred a devastating ache within me, but that couldn't be my focus right now. Protecting Olivia was all that mattered, even if it meant swallowing my own pain.Stepping inside my room, I threw my jacket down on the bed and began to peel off my clothes, heading for the shower. I had a long night ahead of me sitting guard outside of Olivia's hotel, and I knew that if I didn’t shower and grab something to eat, then I would fall asleep on the job. Getting into the shower, the warm water washed over me, and leaning my head back, letting it take away my tiredness, I closed my eyes. Images of Olivia flashed through my mind.Every inch of my body craved to be with her again, to feel the touch of her soft skin against mine, but

Beta Adam's POV I stood in the dank, dimly lit basement, watching Cassandra's eyes widen with terror as she tried to make sense of her surroundings. It brought a twisted sense of satisfaction to see fear flash in those defiant eyes. One of my loyal pack members, Roger, entered the room, his face veiled with shadows that danced wildly against the flickering light. "I delivered the note to Alexander, as you ordered,” Roger announced, his voice drenched in subservience. “Good,” I replied, my eyes firmly locked on Cassandra. A plan was beginning to take shape in my mind, each cruel detail crystallising with each passing second. With steady, deliberate steps, I approached her, eyes dark with malicious intent. Her breath hitched, and she struggled vainly against the chains that bound her. Upon reaching her, instead of inflicting the pain she expected, I surprised her—and perhaps even myself—by unlocking the iron restraints around her wrists. She rubbed her sore wrists, disbelief eviden

Olivia's POV I could practically feel the twins' impatience radiating through the walls of the hotel suite. Liam's voice filtered through the threshold, his pleas amplifying in volume with each passing moment. "Mummy, when can we see Daddy?" he asked for the thousandth time, his little face scrunched in a mixture of determination and frustration. Beside him, Sarah tugged at my sleeve, her eyes wide with the same eagerness. "Please, Mummy? We miss him so much." My heart ached to see their longing expressions. They were the unwitting victims caught in the crossfire of adult conflicts, and it wasn't fair. I sighed, weighing my options. Stubborn and driven, the twins wouldn't relent until they got what they wanted. "Alright, we'll go see him," I conceded softly. Their eyes lit up with joy, and their tiny hands clapped in celebration. The tension that had held me captive all morning started to lift if only a little. "Let's go then," I said, leading them toward the door. “But we hav

Alexander’s POVThe cool night air whipped past my face as I sprinted through the woods, my wolf senses guiding me like an invisible compass. Cassandra’s scent weaved through the trees, leading me deeper into the forest. Even know I didn’t want to be with her, she didn’t deserve this, none of it. And I would make sure that Adam paid for every ounce of her suffering. The old building appeared through the dense growth, an eerie silhouette against the moonlit sky. The stench of decay and rogue wolves mingled in the air, fuelling my rage. Each step I took heightened my awareness. My muscles coiled like a spring, ready to pounce. This had to end tonight.I approached the building cautiously, scanning for any signs of a trap. The creaking door gave way under my touch, revealing a dimly lit hallway. Inside, the smell of rusted metal and mildew assaulted my senses. **Hang on, Cassandra.** The thought was a desperate plea and a fervent promise. I navigated the decrepit corridors until a muffle

Cassandra's POVStanding over Alexander's unconscious form, a smile played on my lips. The sense of victory brings joy to my heart. I pivoted, walking over to Adam, who lay a few feet away. He looked pitiful lying there, vulnerable. I lifted my foot and kicked him in the side."Wake up, Adam," I said coldly. With a groan, he stirred and rubbed his neck where Alexander had nearly crushed his windpipe. My foot tapped impatiently against the cement floor as he struggled to sit up. I didn't bother to hide my irritation."You're lucky he didn't kill you," I remarked, crossing my arms.Adam ignored me, his eyes narrowing as he called out sharply, "Get in here! Now!"Two of Adam's pack members entered the room swiftly. “Restrain him,” Adam ordered. They moved to restrain Alexander, chains and cuffs in hand, dragging him to a stone wall. The chains clinked ominously as they secured him.I turned back to Adam, who met my eyes with a calculating gaze. "Now what?" I asked, my voice icy.He shrug

Olivia’s pov As we followed Alexander's scent, my heart raced, and my mind swirled with worry; Aura was on high alert. I tried my best to stay strong and think positively, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t shake the fear and dread that settled deep inside my stomach. I would never forgive myself if something happened to Alexander. All this was my fault, and I never should have brought him into it. A strange scent filled my nostrils, making me stop dead in my tracks. "Do you smell that?" I asked, my voice edged with alertness.Ethan, always on guard, sniffed the air and shook his head. "Nothing out of the ordinary. Why?"Aurora stirred within me. *Something's wrong, Olivia,* she insisted. *I can't place it, but it's there.*"I just... feel like we're being watched." My eyes scanned the dense forest, shadows playing tricks with the moonlight. Reed fell into step beside me, his eyes narrowing, ever the protector."Let's keep moving," Reed said. Opening my eyes, my head was pounding, and my vision was blurred. I tried to lift my hands to rub my eyes, but they wouldn’t move. Panic shot through me as I looked down to see thick, coarse ropes binding my wrists together. As my surroundings began to sharpen into focus, I noticed that I was in a dimly lit room with cracked walls, and the musty scent of dampness pervaded the air."Where… where am I?" I mumbled, wincing at the dry scratchiness of my throat. "Olivia?" a familiar voice croaked from nearby. Turning my head, I saw Cassandra bound beside me, her face smeared with dirt and eyes wide with a mixture of relief and fear. My wolf, Aura, growled inside me, fury bubbling at the sight of Cassandra, even though she was tied up as well. I still didn't trust her. "It looks like you failed at being the hero once again, princess." Cassandra's voice dripped with sarcasm, and her eyes mocked me despite our shared predicament.Ignoring her, I strained against the ropes, desperately looki

Alexander's POV The disorienting fog slowly lifted from my mind, each beat of my heart pounding like a war drum in my ears. My muscles screamed in protest as I tried to move, but the chains held me fast against the cold, unforgiving wall. The faint scent of blood and damp concrete filled my nostrils. I strained my eyes to focus, and the distorted shapes before me gradually sharpened into sickening clarity.Olivia and Cassandra were tied up and bruised, their faces a mask of determination despite their predicament. Adam stood between us, his smile twisted with malicious glee. The bastard had clearly set the stage for some twisted show, and his next lines were already dripping with menace."Welcome back, Alexander," Adam sneered, eyes gleaming with unspoken threats.Despite the thick chains binding me, I couldn't suppress the growl rising from my chest. "Untie them, Adam. Now." Adam’s grin widened, and he sauntered closer, revelling at the moment. "And miss out on all this fun? I don'

Olivia's POVThe tension in the room thickened as Cole spoke, his words carrying the weight of a disturbing revelation. "Two of our pack members were on their way here a few days ago with gifts for your victory celebration, but they never arrived. When we got word that they hadn’t made it, we sent out people to search for them." His voice faltered for a moment as if the next words weighed heavily on him. "What we found was not what we had hoped. One of them was dead, the other missing, and the carriage was gone."A chill ran down my spine. I couldn’t bear to hear this. The situation was growing more dire than I’d imagined."Two days ago, we found the carriage," Cole continued, his gaze hardening as he recalled the grim discovery. "It wasn’t far from here. And this morning, we found the other missing pack member."My heart pounded in my chest. "Where did you find him?" I asked, my voice almost whispering, desperate for any hope.Cole's gaze flickered to the others before he spoke again

The grand celebration for our victory was being planned for that evening, and every pack was invited to join in the festivities. The air was thick with excitement and anticipation.I had just finished speaking with Ethan about his proposal to Lidia. His nerves were apparent, but I could see the sincerity in his eyes. He was nervous, but I knew he was ready. Before I walked away, I placed a gentle hand on his arm, offering him a reassuring smile."Don’t forget," I said softly, "when I say I’d like to thank my sister, that’s your cue."Ethan nodded, his expression shifting to one of determination. "I won’t forget. Everything will be perfect."I gave him a quick nod before heading toward Alexander’s office. As I walked through the corridors, I caught sight of the triplet alphas—Cole, Casper, and Carlson—along with their shared mate. They greeted me warmly, offering hugs and smiles."It’s good to see you

Olivia's POVThe ceremony had come to an end, and the officiant's voice rang out, full of warmth and joy. "You may now kiss your mate."For a long moment, Alexander and I stood there, neither of us moving. Our eyes met a deep, silent understanding passing between us. The world outside the two of us felt distant—almost irrelevant. It was as if time itself had paused, giving us this moment to just be, to finally breathe, to finally have each other completely. And then, as though it was inevitable, Alexander leaned in, his breath warm against my lips. His eyes never left mine, and in them, I saw everything I had ever hoped for—the love we'd both fought for, the bond that had only grown stronger over time. His lips were soft when they first touched mine, and I felt my heart flutter, a thousand emotions rushing through me. But then he deepened the kiss, his hand cupping the side of my face as he pulled me closer. I responded instantly, my fingers threading through his hair, holding him as

Olivia's POVMy heart raced as I took in the sight of the garden, the flowers a stunning blend of colours beneath the glowing moonlight. But none of it mattered more than the man standing before me.Adjusting the dress that flowed around me like liquid silk. Victor and Allen flanked me, both looking incredibly proud and supportive, but their presence felt like a blur, fading in comparison to the figure at the end of the aisle: Alexander. When my eyes met his, everything else melted away. The crowd, the world—everything faded until only he remained. There he was, waiting for me, his face a mixture of longing and awe. My heart swelled with emotions that couldn’t be put into words. No part of me felt nervous. Everything just felt right. For so long, I had fought the love that bloomed between us, but tonight, under the stars and in the presence of our family,

Alexander's POVI stood before the mirror, adjusting the pristine cuffs of my shirt, the faintest tremor of nervousness threatening to disrupt the calm exterior I fought so hard to maintain. My reflection stared back at me—sharp jawline, hair perfectly styled, the weight of responsibility etched in my gaze. But beyond the Alpha that I am, I saw the man who was about to marry the woman of his dreams for the second time, but this time, I would not take her for granted. I would treat her the way that I should have from the start. My chest tightened as I ran a hand over the collar of my suit. Everything was perfect. The flowers, the guests, the setting. But all I could focus on was the one thing that had eluded me for far too long—the realisation that this was the life I had always wanted yet failed to see for long, and I hated myself for that.A soft knock at the door drew my attention, and I turned to see Ethan standing in the doorway, his usual confidence absent, replaced by something

Olivia's povThe shop door chimed softly as we entered. The dressmaker, a kind older woman with an eye for detail and warmth to match, greeted us with a beaming smile. Bolts of exquisite fabrics lined the walls, their colours are vibrant, each one telling its own tale. I knew the one I held within my heart today—a tale of love, resilience, and hope.Lidia followed me closely, her earlier doubts seeming to melt away amid the excitement of the shop. "I’ve been waiting for this," she confessed softly, leaning closer as she took in the palatial display of elegant gowns. "Getting to see you in your wedding dress is like a dream."We approached the mirrored dais, where an array of wedding dresses awaited—each one a masterpiece of lace and silk and dreams sewn into reality. As I stepped upon the dais, emotions welled within me, teetering precariously on a tide of sentiment and expectation. I reached for a gown gently, fingers trailing over the delicate beadwork, feeling the promise imbued w

Olivia's povI knew Ethan was trying to muster his courage. His hands trembled slightly as he thumbed the edges of the box, cooling his earlier confidence. Finally, he opened the box, revealing a stunning ring. The large moonstone at its centre caught the light, casting an ethereal glow that seemed to shimmer with life."Olivia, this ring has been in my family for hundreds of years," Ethan said, his voice tinged with reverence and nerves. The raw honesty in his eyes touched me deeply.“It’s beautiful," I murmured, genuinely captivated by the artifact's majesty and the legacy it represented.Ethan went red-cheeked, the usual bravado he donned so effortlessly slipping away. "I was wondering if you would…" He paused, his words stumbling over one another like a landslide. **Olivia's POV**I took a breath, the pleasant scent of roses filling my nose. The garden was alive with nature's symphony, a perfect backdrop for what could be the most significant day of my life. Alexander had already set to arranging everything needed for our moonlit wedding. Tonight would be magic.I left the garden, excitement twirling within me as I ventured toward the dressmaker to see if she had anything that I could wear tonight with such short notice. My footsteps echoed softly off the cobblestone path, each step a rhythmic countdown to becoming Alexander’s wife.As I approached, the gentle hum of early morning activity filled the air. People were setting up stalls for the evening's festival, laughter mingling with the scents of freshly baked goods. We hadn’t had a true celebration in so long; spirits were high, and eve
