Chapter 114

Lydia's POV

I had been lingering near the entrance, eavesdropping on Olivia and Cassandra's heated exchange. A mixture of emotions churned in me: the old resentment towards Olivia, the spark of newly found respect I had for her after Victor told me about what she had spoken for me. She thought for me and cared about me truly from her heart.

I saw Olivia catch Cassandra's wrist and confront her without hesitation. For the first time, I felt a surge of pride for my sister, and for the first time, that's what I saw her as.

Deep down, I knew Olivia didn't expect me to come along and save, and i knew that she was more then capable of standing up for herself but i wanted her to know that she wasn't alone in this.

With renewed determination, I stepped forward, resting my hand on Olivia's shoulder. She spun around, her expression changing from fury to surprise at seeing me.

"Lydia?" she stammered. It was clear she hadn't expected me to intervene.

I nodded curtly before shifting my gaze to Cass
