Olivia's POV

Morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, painting the room with a soft golden glow. As my eyes fluttered open, the weight of Alexander's arm draped over me served as a tangible reminder of last night. My emotions swirled like leaves in a gust of wind—confusion, passion, and an unsettling undercurrent of fear. I didn't know how to face what happened between us, let alone mention it to him.

Quietly, I slipped out from under his arm, moving slowly to avoid waking him. Each step toward the bathroom felt like crossing a minefield of emotions. Once inside, I allowed myself a moment to breathe, staring at my own reflection as if it could provide the answers I desperately sought.

A splash of cold water on my face did little to clear my muddled thoughts, but it was a start. When I emerged from the bathroom, I found Alexander awake, his eyes locked onto mine with an intensity that made my pulse quicken.
