"Hello, Mom." I chuckled at his small voice on the phone. He talked a lot about him practicing and he wanted me to see him. I can't possibly come there again because it's far away and pity drives me back and forth. He also protested about me leaving him.

"Mom is coming and is now busy preparing for our departure. You remember what we talked about yesterday, right?"

"What are you talking about?" his father asked and I groaned in annoyance. He eavesdropped on our conversation. He shouldn't care about our chat.

"I want to talk to my son, don't cut short the duration of our conversation," I said curtly when I heard his voice. I hate it when he always monitors and interferes in my affairs. He definitely wouldn't like it if I promised Luke a life alone with me.

"Oh, you have a conversation duration. How many minutes does that man allow you to talk to our son," he said in a scornful tone. He deliberately made me emotional and made a fuss with him again.
